Not even left yet and I’m fuming

Not even left yet and I’m fuming. We have had an emergency at home and my husband can no longer make the 5 hour journey with us and we have been made to pay £40 to change lead name into my name! Disgusting.

Online booking has its problems

Online booking has its problems, on booking and paying £50 deposit for a 4 night break in March 2027 I did not receive a confirmation, on calling and (eventually) getting through I was told the deposit had not been received but NatWest assured me it had, also it had left my account so had to book again, pay another deposit and now try and get my original £50 back!

Park dean west Bay

Park dean west Bay
Lucky to get 1*
Caravan was filthy, took 3 cleans to get it useable, food in cupboards, freezer and fridge from previous rental, food /crumbs all over sofas and floor, bathroom floor dripping wet on arrival. Had to complain to reception to get something sorted, bar staff made a mistake on breakfast and sent me the wrong breakfast out, not usually a big deal but when I questioned it I was basically told it was my fault for ordering the wrong food and that I'd have to take it because that's what had been cooked!
Had to stand my ground and basically refuse it because it was the wrong one, sent me out one American breakfast but I'd ordered two english breakfasts so someone was going hungry if I didn't refuse it.
Then later in the week, sat and watched a staff member being arrested for threatening a young girl with a knife, park dean denied it was a member of staff but he was clearly wearing their uniform and security even clocked him out before the police took him away🤷‍♂️.
Overall I wouldnt stay there again if you paid me to.
Im a month on , waiting for an agreed 10% refund , and still waiting.
Emails are being ignored and nobody is interested.
Stay away, you really won't enjoy it

Fantastic

The whole experience was amazing and so much to do on site. Family holidays and memories and that is what it is all about.

The only disappointing bit was WiFi it was on and off even after paying for premium plus.

caravan no' VH0345 at Romney sands has ant infestation

We checked into caravan no' VH0345 at Romney sands park in Kent Friday 10th July ( for 3 nights ) and we've had no choice but to check out the next morning Saturday 12th July and return home.
The 1st night at approximately 9pm upon our return to the caravan we found a serious problem with ants everywhere. Particularly alot on the kitchen sides and in the cupboards and all over the dining room table. I phoned security and 2 men came with their hoover, spray and ant powder. They hoovered the ants and put down powder. They put their Henry hoover all over the kitchen sides and dining table after putting it around the toilet/bathroom. No cleaning or disinfecting was done so I certainly wasn't doing any food prep/cooking etc after that. We stayed the night hoping the problem would be gone in the morning however it was just as bad. There were lots of dead ants in the kitchen but also still lots of alive ones especially in the main bedroom where we'd slept! I opened my eyes to them crawling on the bedside table next to my head! We packed up all our stuff. Posted the keys through letterbox and left. Exretremly disappointing and a ruined break away. All that packing, travelling, unpacking, then packing back up the next morning and travelling back home has left me feeling really sad not to mention exhausted. What a waste of our time and money.

Caravan no' VH0345

PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME THAT BECAUSE ROMNEY SANDS IS SITUATED ON A NATURE RESERVE THAT IT IS NORMAL TO HAVE AN ANT INFESTATION IN YOUR CARAVANS. I AM A LOCAL AND STAY AT ROMNEY SANDS EVERY YEAR ( FOR 25 YEARS ) TO SUPPORT THE LOCAL SITE. I EXPECT A FEW ANTS AROUND THE DOOR BUT ON THIS OCCASION THERE WERE 100S OF ANTS IN EVERY SINGLE ROOM AND CORRIDOR. LOOK UNDER THE FRIDGE. THERE IS A BOTTLE OF ANTPOWDER PUT DOWN A CENTIMETER THICK. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY AN ONGOING PROBLEM OF ANTS IN THIS CARAVAN.
I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT YOUR INSULTING ROBOTIC REPLY ABOUT IT BEING A NATURE RESERVE! I KNOW IT IS, I LIVE LOCAL. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS ANT INFESTATION AT VH0345.

The reply i got was robotic and they didn't refund me any money. I will never return to romney sands ever again. They have just lost a very loyal customer. I do NOT recommend this site to anyone and their customer service is beyond disgusting and insulting.

I rented a gold disabled caravan at…

I rented a gold disabled caravan at there trecco bay site on arrival I found it to be extremely dirty the wet room was dirty beyond belief I managed to get one of the staff to take a look who told me not to unpack as they would probably move us as I’d also booked a double bed an a twin room but had 4 single beds was told someone would call me straight away after no one bothered I went straight to reception and spoke to a gentleman called Tom who said they would send cleaners to re clean I pointed out if they had done there job in the first place I would not be wasting my holiday having to go back and forth, the cleaners came and to be honest were lovely but couldn’t clean for toffee, I went back up again and spoke to someone called Blyth who was rude and basically just didn’t care I told her I’d paid nearly £1600 for a gold van and expected more to be told they are graded by size not quality which to me is very misleading as I understand they can can vary from picture but what you end up with is a joke , when I returned to my van I ended up cleaning it myself due to them being incompetent I started chatting to a family opposite who had also complained now are vans where same name and model exactly same inside nothing different and she happened to say I expected more for a silver van as you can imagine I was not happy and returned again and asked to speak to the manager to find out that Blyth was in fact the manager I got told that my van might be very slightly bigger which was absolutely not the case and that there had to be a cut of between gold and silver somewhere even if it was only ever so slightly bigger this I find a total cop out I would never return here or use this company again they just rip people off nearly every person in the queue was there to complain about the state off there van

Very limited activities and no shows during school holidays

I was assisted with making our booking for 3 days with our 10 yr old twin grandchildren and was assurred I would be able to pre book activities. I immediately tried to do this and found severely limited activities and availability. We could not check in before 4pm unless we paid an early access charge, which meant a whole day would be wasted with no availability activities. Then adding insult to injury there were no evening entertainment during school holidays, meaning that we would have to keep two ten year olds entertained for three days. Absolute rubbish! We cancelled immediately and had to put up with the member of staff trying to deduct admin charges, which is against their policy to give 100% refund when cancelled within 24 hrs. Dreadful.

Great site for the off peak price

Great site for the off peak price. The site was kept clean and tidy. Lovely walks especially if you have a dog. Just take a can ringpull to wedge in the shower to keep it on until you’ve finished as it needs button pushing every two minutes.

The worst caravan bussiess ever

The worst caravan bussiess ever! All they care about is money money money. We were a owner here and had the worst experience ever prices increase year after year site fee went from £4000 to £9000 in 4 years they hate it if you rent it out they don’t support your guest they call and misplace my document for the caravan they try and kick my guest out. The people who own park Dean and nothing but crooks stay away - if your thinking of buying a caravan don’t go here it be nothing but a money pit. Disgusting how they treat you

Good holiday but with some disappointments

Booked for Withernsea Sands. Booking experience was ok- advertised a gold caravan with decking and allocated parking! Upon check in (and on my booking email which I didn’t notice) then it had no parking listed. Not the end of the world but not a great start.
Caravan was dirty and smelt horrid when we arrived and lots of bugs in one of the bathrooms. General upkeep of caravan not great but the holiday park is nice. No swimming slots been available all week, which is disappointing! My daughters Teddy was taken from our table when we went to the toilet (not the parks fault but no one interested in taking my number in case turned up). Overall nice place and good location but not the best caravan park we have been to (for cleanliness, facilities or staff helpfulness) unfortunately.

1 Star

1 Star – Very disappointing experience at Weeley Bridge
Our stay at Parkdean Resorts Weeley Bridge was extremely disappointing and nothing like the holiday we expected.
We booked and paid for a Gold Standard caravan, but the caravan we were given was completely different from the pictures shown on the website. It did not look or feel like the Gold Standard accommodation we had paid for. The overall standard of the caravan was very poor and nowhere near what we would expect from Gold Standard accommodation.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the caravan had not been properly cleaned. There was dog hair in the corners, dirty walls, dirty windows, dust and cobwebs, a dirty sofa bed, dirty kitchen equipment, a dirty toilet seat and a shower in very poor condition. The bathroom door also did not close properly. There was also a terrible, unpleasant smell throughout the caravan.
We even had to ask for bed sheets to cover the dirty sofa so that we could sit on it.
We also paid an additional charge for our dog, with the expectation that the caravan would be properly deep-cleaned before our arrival. Unfortunately, this clearly had not happened.
We immediately raised our concerns with reception. We were told there was nothing available to move us to, and the only option offered was additional cleaning, even though we had already requested cleaning because of the condition of the caravan.
The situation became even more worrying when my daughter developed bites on her body during our stay. We no longer felt comfortable keeping our family in the caravan, so we made the decision to leave two days earlier than planned.
This holiday caused us stress, disappointment and additional expense instead of allowing us to enjoy our family break.
I would strongly recommend that anyone considering booking a Gold Standard caravan at Weeley Bridge carefully checks the accommodation on arrival and does not simply rely on the photographs shown online.
Very disappointing experience. We expected much better from Parkdean Resorts.

Awful

Awful, PD take your money and provide No customer service and then rip u off for more money.
Booked online in March, for August. Caravan was not what we ordered. One staff said they would sort it out and later another refused.
Caravans are not gold or Gold premium standard and are very dirty.
Location area is nice and beach nearby.
Would never use again and recommend anyone wanting a caravan holiday to look at private hire or other companies , you will be much happier and get what u paid for without the hassle and stress.
