Don't trust this company

Their inventory tracker is a real CLICKBAIT! They are saying that their real-time inventory tracker is updated every 15 minutes which is FALSE.

I bought a product advertised as "In Stock" and received an email saying that my order was received. The next day I went back to the website to see if the stock level of the product has moved but it didn't, the stock was the same as before my order. A few days later I received an email from them saying that my order was backordered.

They are specialists in false advertising and price increase after you placed your order.

Any real company will honour the displayed and purchase price.

Just do a quick search about this (scam) company and you will find very quickly how bad they are.

Hi Roofus,
I am sorry to hear about your experience and would like to opportunity to clarify some of our company policies regarding stock availability and price.
We try our best to keep our inventory, pricing, and product information on our website up to date however because we tie into many different manufacturers and distribution databases, sometimes the information is delayed or errors occur. We get our inventory through our manufacturer and distributor partners across Canada however we are not the only company that has access to this inventory. Generally speaking, our real-time inventory tracker serves our customers well however, from time to time we will see demand for particular products increase exponentially, such as we saw recently with COVID-19. In these rare instances, the 15-minute window could be the difference between the item showing as 20 in stock or showing as back-ordered. This is what leads to some PC-Canada.com customers expressing their frustration that when they placed an order on our site we showed stock but when the order was processed we sent them a backorder notification.
As mentioned on our site and in our Terms and Conditions, we make every effort to bring the lowest prices possible to our clients however, due to conditions beyond our control, such as the manufacturer’s price; prices are subject to increase even after your order has been placed. When you placed your order, you received an automatic email that let you know that we have received your order. This email is not a confirmation email. We then conduct standard customer protection procedures, which are in accordance with the policies set by our Fraud Avoidance and Payment Services Departments. If a price increase should occur during the processing of your order you will be notified and have the right to cancel your order at no charge to yourself. We will not charge your credit card without confirming the amount with you first.
We care about customer experiences and take feedback seriously. We apologize that your item was no longer in stock, but hope that this provides more clarification about the situation. You can find more information about our company’s Terms and Conditions here, https://www.pc-canada.com/p/care/terms.asp

They don't honor purchase price

I placed an order for an LG Monitor on December 26th 2020.
website was showing 53 units in stock. PC Canada was delaying my order from being processed. I sent an email to orderinquiry on January 5th asking what's happening with the delay. I get a response back to reach out to payment services. I tried calling 2 times and no answer.
I send an email back to Dave Park (the guy that replied to my original email). I get an email on Jan6th:

Thank you for your recent order with PC-Canada.com.

Upon performing our standard customer protection procedures, we found that there was some Incorrect Billing Information provided for this credit card order. Please provide us with the exact address and phone number as it appears on your credit card statement to allow us to complete your order.

We have placed your order on HOLD for 2 business days. If we have not heard back from you, your order will be cancelled. Please reply to this email with the requested information.

Thank you,
PC-Canada.com

I reply to the email and receive a phone call that it was a mistake in the phone number, and everything is good, and my order will be processed.

I am finally happy that 11 days after I placed the order, I would finally get a monitor.

Well, this is when I get a n email from Dave Park:

Please note your monitor has arrived.
However current costing is $677.99
did you want to proceed at the higher price? or cancel at no charge to you.

I email him back:

Hi Dave,
I do see the price has changed on the monitor; will you guys not be able to honor the price that I had purchased it at? When I ordered it you had 52 units in stock.

He gives me the runaround about the back-orders.

Point of the story is that when I placed the order it was not a backorder item it was a stock item now that it took you 11days to contact me because something about the phone number being was incorrect, you want me to pay $120 more for the monitor.
Very strange that they were able to call me (11 days later) but not process my visa until the price of the monitor went up/

This Company is a scam, and I would strongly recommend buying for a reliable company that's well established.

Hi Emil,
I am sorry that you didn’t have a good experience shopping at PC-Canada.com. I can understand why it would be frustrating for the price of the product to increase and we apologize for the delay in processing your order. When you placed your order on December 26th, our office was closed as per our holiday hours posted on our website and social channels. This, plus the incorrect billing information delayed the process further. By the time we were able to properly process your order, the price of the product had changed, which is entirely out of PC-Canada.com’s control. At PC-Canada.com our goal is to provide our customers with the best price and customer service. That being said, we cannot control the prices from our Manufacturers and Suppliers. When the price of a product increased, we called you to confirm the new price at which time you indicated that you did not want to proceed with the order. We canceled the order as per your request at no cost to you. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi Dixie,
I am sorry to hear about the trouble that you are having with the gift that you received. If you can supply the email address that was used to place the order or the corresponding PC-Canada.com order number, we can look up the order to confirm if it was purchased with us. You can email us at marketing@pc-canada.com with that information and I will happily look into it.
Although we have hand mixers available, we do not sell them often. It may be possible that the person who purchased your hand mixer, has mixed us up with another brand, such as President's Choice. However, if you can supply the email or order number associated with the order, we can definitely look into the purchase.
Thank you.

Talked to the sales support before I made my order and was assured that I would have it in two weeks. Almost two months later I am still waiting and have been getting the runaround by support. I have been given multiple ETA's and none have been correct, and they keep pushing it back. Now there is no ETA at all...The worst part for me is that I have two friends who made a preorder after I did and they have been fulfilled... Very discouraging...
Edit After two and a half months, I inquired about the order status again... they threatened to just cancel my order because I had the audacity to ask an ETA after they missed multiple dates... I gave up on PC Canada and purchased what I needed elsewhere, and had it delivered in a professional and timely fashion... I would avoid PC-Canada.

Don't Trust Stock Indicators

Must say, I am very disappointed in this whole process and how PC-Canada’s system reserves stocks in the background while orders are processed.

My first ordered was cancelled because it set off my credit card fraud alert. I quickly fixed that and re-ordered (their stock of 8 had gone down to 7 and I only wanted 1)

Even though I ordered in time and the PC-Canada system said it was ‘in stock’ I get the ‘backordered message.

Not sure I will ever shop with PC-Canada again.

Almost seems like click-bate to order high demand items.

Hi Michael, I am very sorry to hear about your experience shopping with us. We appreciate the importance of maintaining accurate inventory which is why our real-time inventory tracker is available on every product details page and is updated every 15 minutes (unless otherwise indicated). Generally speaking, this serves our customers well however when we see demand for particular products increase exponentially, such as we are seeing on all 3090 graphics cards, the 15-minute window could be the difference between the item showing as in stock or back-ordered. To help make sure we're communicating this stock constraint with our clients we have posted a notification at the top of the page on all products impacted so people are aware of product constraints ahead of placing their order. We appreciate why this was a disappointing experience for you none the less. We will take your feedback into consideration and work towards a solution to ensure that these situations are not reoccurring.

Perhaps the worst RMA experience ever

Perhaps the worst RMA experience ever. They shipped an correct motherboard. Ordered a ASUS ROG STRIX B550 with WIF6 motherboard, received the ASUS ROG STRIX B550 without WIFI6. Tried calling during working hours, no response. Used online chat and sent pictures me down a whole new mess. RMA will not provide a solution even though in contact of either return the product or price correction for the part. They want you to wait days later to determine what they will do. I have major regret purchasing from them as I missing out deals from Black Friday for them to determine their internal process issues as I am being led to believe.

Hi Simon, I am very sorry to hear you believe you received the wrong item from us and I can understand your frustration. When you contacted us to let us know about this issue this morning our returns department opened a return request with the manufacturer. We are waiting to hear back from them which can take a few business days, especially in times like these. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience. A representative in our returns department will reach out to you as soon as we have an update on your request.

Price increased after order was made.

Price for an item increased after I placed my order. They emailed to say the price had gone up and wanted to know if I still wanted the item for the new price. They did not honor the original price shown on the website. I asked for free shipping or something to make it more attractive, but they declined and canceled the order.

1 star for increasing the price after I placed an order, 2 stars because they did then change the website price.

Watch out for additional charges, no responsibility and general lack of customer service

Went to place an order, paid online then they started adding to freight charges...$60.00 additional for a phone call from delivery company to tell me when they are delivering, Power tailgate charges for an item weighing 100lbs....won't let you pick up from warehouse in Richmond due to Covid containment (but they let truck drivers in...) I should have read the reviews from others before placing order. I will not deal with PC Canada again.

Beware of 'bait & switch' frauds with this company (and their "No Refund" policy.) I purchased the Seagate Barracuda External Solid State Drive advertised on their website, and PC-Canada sent me a Seagate Photo Hard Disk Drive, which they said was an error. Then they told me the low price offered in their advertisement was also an error. Right - two errors that just happen to benefit the seller. And then they told me they have a "No Refund" policy. It took several weeks of misery and emails to get my money back. Don't do business with this shady company.
