"Customer Service" is a non-existent entity operated out of some distant backwater. Got a World Elite card, and have never received the 45X/$1 spent at Shoppers Drug - just 30X points. Despite sever... See more

Customer service lousy. Can’t download my offers
Problems with being able to download my offers. Called customer service which of course was no help because they have to send the problem on to the “specialist department” who never get back to you. You wait forever on the phone to speak to someone and they are useless. My last call the girl was getting angry at me for asking when someone was gonna contact me finally to fix the problem. I had to hang up on her. Nasty girl. The only reason I shop there was for the points. I spend $200-300 every week. Their loss. Time to take my business elsewhere
Don't believe what they tell you
Used self check out for first time. After paying, asked how to enter my card. Very helpful lady running the show apologized for not mentioning the points card in her instructions but said it was too late. No worries, she said -- just send the info to optinum and they will fix. Not a chance. Refused, and PCOptimum customer service would not do it either.
We are seniors, not very used to technology. We sure miss the days when customers mattered.
Unfortunately, we live in a rural area with few shopping choices, but if you can, look for a store brand that puts customers before technology and has their employees' backs.
Account Suspended with Over 550,000 points
I have not been able to redeem points for over a month and was told is was due to possible security risk. I have almost 580,000 points that took a long time to collect. I have PC Financial Mastercard and Money Account and I just got an email that my PC Optimum account was suspended for no reason. They refuse to tell me why. It’s a scam.
Business refused to provide reasons for suspending my account and refused to escalate my concerns
On August 22, 2023, PC Optimum suspended my account due to alleged non compliance with terms and condtions and confiscated all points contained within the account (value over $5000). Since that day, and despite my best efforts via multiple phone calls and multiple emails to their customer service team, as of today, I have not been provided with the actual reason why my account was suspended along with the exact term that was not in compliance either over the phone or in writing. Additionally, PC Optimum thus far have ignored my request for the matter to be escalated or answer questions regarding the mandatory arbitration clauses within their terms and conditions.
I remain open to resolve this matter amicably with the company but at the same time, I will leave this review up until the matter has been resolved.
THE WORST
locked my account for no reason and had 10 diff reps email and talk to me. its like they dont even care to read the past email thread or make nottes. every time they say something different. its been months and still locked. unbelievable.
Worst company I have ever dealt with - ever
I am unable to login to the account that holds my points. I phoned Customer service in February, March and April and was told that I needed to open a new PCOptimum Acct. I did that. My points showed as used.
I did not use any points. After much discussion they replaced my points and advised that it was because I don't use 2-step verification on. my account. I set that up. They were to merge the old acct and the new acct. Not done. I phoned again in March and the person was to do the merge while I was on hold. I was disconnected. I called again in April. Again I was told to hold while they did the merge. Again I was disconnected. I stupidly signed up for a PCMastercard today because they offer so much in terms of points. When I got home I decided to get back to them about the merging of the 2 accounts. My points (329K+) show on my phone app with the old account. The new account shows 0 points. Today's call, after waiting 40 min for an answer, I was told that the card showing on my phone is not my number, just a reference. This is crazy because I show that phone page to gain points whenever I purchase. I was asked if I can remember when I used the optimum card purchase last and how much the purchase was. NO, I do not remember when I used the card last, where or the amount I spent. Who knows such detail from over a month ago. She finally agreed to check the merging of the accounts after much discussion over this is not how it is normally done. She advised that their records show that the accounts were merged in April. I swear I don't know how to deal with these people at all. I have decided to use up my points and get as far away from anything to do with this company as possible.
I checked their rating online and found hundreds of complaints not being dealt with.
They think I would transfer my money into a PC Banking Account? Not on your life. I don't even want to buy their groceries, no matter how low they can get the price. I don't want them to know my CC#, name or anything about me. I have grave concerns about how personal information may be handled at PCFinancial, PCOptimum or PCMastercard.
Never get back to me
Missing points. I have called four times, and each time someone is supposed to get back to me in 2 to 3 days. It had supposedly been elevated each time I called. No one has ever gotten back to me. This has been going on for two months! Each time I called, there was a long wait “as we are busier than normal), and I have to go through all the details over and over. A colossal waste of time and beyond frustrating. Get more staff if you can’t do what you say your are going to do.
Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Was out of the country. PC Optimum Card was suspended. Spoke to customer service. Couldn’t resolve. Had to be forwarded to a senior account rep. For review. Get back to me in 3-5 days. What?
A long time pc optimum card holder I…
A long time pc optimum card holder I received promotion of 80$ for 30,000 points and saved my money to make this happen. The day I went to make the purchase the points did not come on my bill and was told by the manager the points would go on my card by contacting Pc optimum client services. I will never ever use this card it will be cut up good bye what a scam.
I had an exclusive offer of spend $100…
I had an exclusive offer of spend $100 dollars & get 10,000 points which is an continuity of spending over 1 week period. I spent $25 today & it did not register.
This always seems to happen and it I feel this is false advertising to get customer into store
I called in to complain & spend over 30 minutes between on hold & speaking to supervisor. This is not a new software program, it continues to have problems they dont seem interested to fix.
Pcoptimum needs to do better.
this was the written response to my concern
We are happy to help you.
For offers like this "10,000 points when you spend a total of $100 on almost anything in store or with PC Express online grocery", we are not able to update the progress. But don't worry, make all the required purchases and submit a new points inquiry if the points are not automatically added.
They "accidentally" don't award points randomly hoping that you won't notice.
Then you have to argue with them to get the points.

had another experience with optimum & asked for scanning code of practice with point offer this is
there response
MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:
We had a similar complaint/request to apply the Price Accuracy Code. We reached out to the RCC (Retail Council of Canada) which manages the Price Accuracy Code and they advised the following:
Loyalty Program pricing is not taken into consideration with the code. The customer wouldn’t be able to claim the code on a product that has a special member pricing.
We apologize for any misunderstanding or inconvenience regarding the Price Accuracy Code.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I feel really bad for elderly or people not able to navigate app on line. The rewards are terrible. Recently purchased gift cards as reward points were offered. After waiting an hour on the phone Customer service informed that o would receive points on 21 days. Never received them even after calling customer service. Company is run by a crook so .,,,
Scam spend your money in Rexall Instead
Honestly, I couldn’t even justify giving them one star. I have tried every possible way to contact them about an in-store purchase where my card was scanned, but does not show up on the receipt or any points on the receipt. I have responded to every email and get email responses back that are generic stating I need to provide them info. I provide the info and I get another email stating they need the info. I provide it again and again and again and again. I tried calling. I’ve contacted them from their site directly and by their messaging I got the best response from messaging their site on private messenger and somebody did call during my working hours requesting I email them which I did. again. and provided the hours I was available, and they continued to call me during the hours that I was not available after specifically stating I am not able to be reached during these hours yet those are the only hours they contact me during and then tell me they’re closing the file if they don’t get a hold of me by a specific date, either by email at or by phone. I have emailed them twice since that time receiving a generic response every time which apparently goes nowhere since the next call says they haven’t heard from me so if they haven’t heard from me by Monday once again, they’re gonna close the case and I have contacted them more than once between the time they requested it and the time of this response, so what the heck
Update.. after responding to all of the requests to email I got a response by email that they close the file because they haven’t heard from me. Two months of my life trying to get a response from them after finally getting through to someone on messenger I did get phone calls but only during the times I advised I would not be available and I followed up by email each and every time advising yet again that during those particular hours I’m not available I can do email or I can do before that time, every time this is a scam. It is an absolute scam. They want your money. They want to entice you with the possibility of points much like you actually got on your credit cards, or at any of the other stores associated with Rexall, which has a Great Point system by the way much better than PC obviously I will not be spending any money at any of the loblaws or associate stores . Especially shoppers since they submitted prescriptions to my insurance that I did not request and did not receive.
I received offers for PC Optimum and I was denied my points
I received offers for PC Optimum points. My card was scanned and the offers were loaded BUT I didn't get the points I was entitled to and when I contacted them they didn't fix the problem and give me the points that I was supposed to get. Customer service is bad. They either respond days later or don't respond. You can never get through on the phone and spend several minutes waiting for an agent. PC Optimum wastes my time and points. I will use another points program that has more value than what Loblaw is offering.
I should have read the reviews before…
I should have read the reviews before ordering online from them for first time. I set up an account, chose my orders, had to sift through all the PC grocery items to choose substitutes because a few of my items said low stock - all that time taken - and then I ordered, gave my payment, selected delivery time and -- hours later, NOTHING. I called and was told my order did not go through. How hard can it be to set up an order page??? I want my ID back, my personal info. deleted, and nothing more to do with the whole lot of them (PC, Shoppers, and all their conglomerates.) They owe me my personal info back!
Everytime I shop at Loblaws I do
Everytime I shop at Loblaws I do not get PC points. I need to call and wait hours to even get a CSR.
I just stopped using the card at Loblaws. So far a perfect record of 0-5 in 2 weeks.
Don't leave the store without them
Loblaws NET profits for 2022 were 1.99 billion dollars. In fact they have done so well they have their own pc financial mastercard which I recently applied for and received. I have been an optimum member for a number of years and due to the new mastercard I missed out on $36 worth of points which I should have receive for purchases I made. I had a difficult time reaching the pc optimum "ambassadors" and when I finally did get through I was transferred to supervisor Joanne who treated me like an imbecile then just completely ignored my emails. Finally after 3 phone calls and numerous emails in which I sent Rudy my original receipt; I was told I would not receive my points due to an error on their part. My advice don't leave the store unless you get your points because PC optimum will not honor their obligation to give them to you.
Dishonest employees hurt PC Optimum reputation
Missing points. It has become a recurring problem. Every time, when I contact the Optimum Customer Services, they quickly find that $10, $20, even $50 were deducted from my Optimum card by some of their employees or cashiers.
It is sad that such unethical, dishonest employees hurt the reputation of PC Optimum and harm their trusting clients.
Extremely frustrating to deal with PC…
Extremely frustrating to deal with PC Optimum's customer service! The promo I originally got for 1 pair of prescription glasses was 60,000 pts. 2 days later, I decided to get 1 more pair and the promo was for 110,000 points. PC took back the 60,000 points but I never got the 110,000 points eventhough it was on the receipt which I provided 3 times on my email. They simply either dont get it or dont care. Regardless, I've spent so much time calling and emailing them. Worst customer service I've dealt with by far!
SO SO Difficult to resolve my points…
SO SO Difficult to resolve my points issue. They keep having so many problems.
Do Not bother with them giving you points when you should be awarded.
Loyal no more
I was a very loyal, long time customer (15+years)that told everyone how great it was and encouraged people to switch to them. That all changed-- for the last 8 months it has been endless phone calls as I am unable to redeem my earned points. So far I have had 70000 stolen and never returned. I am now fighting to be able to use the $400 I have earned since I was cleaned out. If I ever get them redeemed before they are stolen we are out, already received a new credit card and will be cutting this one up. They need to get a decent IT department, if peoples points are being stolen and cards frozen because they are "compromised" then fix the problem.. have it set up for a province or specific store only (I live in NS and my points were used in BC!) also when redeeming you have to swipe the actual card and use a PIN#. These are just 2 simple things I am sure a team of experts could come up with more.
