Very dishonest company and Google should stop using them. I bought a Pixel 10 phone and Pixel 3 watch at considerable expense direct from Google and one of the reasons I chose Google was becaus... See more

I traded in my Pixel 6a through…
I traded in my Pixel 6a through Google’s trade-in . The device was confirmed as received on 8th September 2025, and I was told I would receive the full trade-in value of £323 On 18 September, I even received an email confirming the refund details.
However, as of 25 October 2025, I have still not received the payment. To make matters worse, my Google Store account incorrectly shows that I was paid on 18 September. Google has acknowledged this is not the case and is “looking into it”, but I have been repeatedly told to wait another 14 business days each time I contact support , they have also now started quoting 60 days. And asking me to update payment details multiple times.
Exactly as advertised. Full amount given.
Exactly as advertised. Applied for a trade in against a Pixel 10, received the trade-in pack, followed the instructions, made sure it was unlocked and factory reset, sent it back, acknowledgement a couple of days later and then notification of full refund at exactly the amount promised, same day
I was obviously a bit worried having seen some of the poor reviews here, but all went well.
It was in very good condition, and I had made sure i had properly reset it.
Dreadful experience using PCS (Via Google store) for phone trade in
I traded in my Pixel 9 through Google’s trade-in programme with PCS in late August. The device was confirmed as received on 2 September 2025, and I was told I would receive the full trade-in value of £474. On 20 September, I even received an email confirming the refund details.
However, as of 10 October 2025, I have still not received the payment. To make matters worse, my Google Store account incorrectly shows that I was paid on 16 September. Google has acknowledged this is not the case and is “looking into it”, but I have been repeatedly told to wait another 14 business days each time I contact support.
rejected my trade in
rejected my pixel 6a trade in (via google store) claiming the phone was not factory reset, which is 100% incorrect, all accounts & locks were fully removed and the phone was factory reset correctly.
A second positive trade in experience
After reading a lot of negative reviews, I've decided to post my positive experience.
This is my second trade in. A pixel 7 for a 9 pro and I traded in my 9 pro for a 10 pro.
Whilst it took a little longer than expected since confirmation of arrival of my handset on 18th September, my full estimated trade in of £653 has been credited to Klarna this afternoon.
I ensured I packaged the phone really well, including the original sleeve and box the phone was sent in. This was then packaged with additional bubble wrap to ensure a safe delivery.
The phone was fully factory reset, battery charged and video and pictures taken just for insurance, but I am really satisfied with the service.
Don't trust them
Not sure I trust them. My phone was in perfect working order and yet when they reviewed it they took off £100 from my trade in value saying "screen has burn in bruising". That's not something I ever saw and they never sent any photos or video proof, so as far as I'm concerned they can just make up whatever they want. I won't trade in with Google again because of it.
Duped again , must stop buying from "snake oil salesmen"
From reading the other reviews its clear in my opinion this company are profiting through malpractice , there seems to be a pattern in rejecting phones for the ambiguous "it wasnt reset " rhetoric rendering a £600-700 mint Pixel 9 Pro XL valued at £0" obviously its not worth £0 but only in the eyes of PCS . I have been buying and selling phones for 10 years and know how to reset any device ,In my case Google were offering an additional sum for the trade in hence why I upgraded .Unfortunately it was an incentive that would always be ficticious, I am very surprised that Google would be associated with such a rogue operation . PCS still have my Pixel 9 Pro XL even though they were sending it back on the 10th September ( allegedly ). Lets see if it turns up in one piece and working unlike other reviewers here ! I have just purchased an iPhone 17 Pro Max via trade-in , its going to be interesting to see who values their customers the most ?
Trade in scheme is a gamble.
My daughter sent in a Google Pixel 6 Pro to trade in against a Pixel 9. PCS rejected the 6 Pro, saying it would not switch on. When received back, it has been set up - US English, no Google account, no PIN. Google were not interested in evidence, and they would not allow me to send the old phone in again. I had to threaten small claims court to get them to accept the return of the Pixel 9. The trade in values are tempting but bear in mind you have a 50/50 chance of being scammed by PCS Wireless.
Scam company
Adding another one to the list, traded in a pixel 9 to take up the offer Google was offering for the pixel 10, factory reset the device and sent it off. PCS claimed that the device was not factory reset and valued the phone at £0 and they will be sending it back to me. I'm now outside the window to return my Pixel 10 so not high hopes I'm going to be able to return it to Google for a refund..
I saw a good price for pixel 9 ,in…
I saw a good price for pixel 9 ,in trade in for pixel 10, which I did and sent in to them and reset my phone,a few days later got a email they had received my phone and said normally you will get another email from us in 4 days time, now almost two weeks have not heard anything from them, have tried to contact them but they they don't reply which is very stressful.i will never use this company again or recommend if I need to sell a phone again will use cex or walk in shop
Sent a pristine pixel 8 pro trade in…
Sent a pristine pixel 8 pro trade in towards a Pixel 10 pro XL. Was quoted £518 trade in. 6 days later they say the phone has zero value as the phone was not factory reset.
It was reset. I even have videos of the process.
Google said they can't do anything and I'm stuck with the full amount to pay for the phone. PCS are a joke.
Do not trust them
Pristine phone valued at £0. Usual untrue "screen burn bruising" excuse.
Easy faultless trade in experience
Traded my Pixel 6 in against a new Pixel.
Used the prepaid trade in kit & followed all instructions to factory reset my phone then posted on the Sat morning. Royal mail delivered it Tue & I had a confirmation email update my trade in had arrived at PCS Wed morning. A few hours later I had another conformation email saying full trade in value. Obviously you take multiple pictures of the device including the screen working to prove its undamaged & also the IMEI number before you send it in just in case anything goes wrong.
I was a lot anxious after reading some…
I was a lot anxious after reading some of the negative reviews, but my experience with PCS Wireless was actually smooth.
I sent in my iPhone15 pro 256GB in excellent (mint) condition as I had only used it for barely a year. The phone was received without any issue. No delays, no claims of hidden damage, no bait-and-switch tactics. They honored the original trade-in estimate exactly as quoted.
While I do think the valuation was lower than the phone’s real market value, I appreciated that the process was honest and efficient.
As a first time user/customer, this really helped me trust the system and won me over.
Traded in my Xperia 1 ii
Traded in my Xperia 1 ii (5 year old phone) for a pixel 9 pro XL with Google and got a promotional extra £300 for my trade in (£370 in total).
Trade in kit came a day after the new phone, sent it off. They received it on the Monday and the inspection/ payout was done and received on the Thursday at the full value.
Device was it good condition (minor scuffs on the bumper) factory reset as asked to do, and the transaction was handled as expected.
I took plenty of photos and videos of the device before I sent it as the reviews were sketchy, but i didn't need them!
Ps make sure you remove your Google account before factory resetting otherwise it will still be locked to you!
Traded in my Pixel 7
Traded in my Pixel 7. Was offered £415 in total with a £300 bonus from Google shop uk as I was buying a Pixel 9 Pro.
Was offered full amount, great communication and cash in bank the following day.
Amazing.
Not helpful 🤔
They didn't give me the full trade in value as they said the P7 I traded had 'burn in bruising'. As far as I am aware, the phone was in perfect condition and showed no visible ghost images on screen. I appealed to Google to no avail. I think the customer should be informed how to check this before sending the phone in, as it's not an obvious defect such as a cracked screen.
Do Not Exchange Your Google Phone via Google
I was exchanging my Google Pixel 8a to 9a after receiving offer from Google store. My phone was in pristine condition when sent to PCS Wireless. They returned it to me saying it was worthless (£0.00) owing to a damaged case. It came back to me in perfect condition!! I will be starting a complaints process with Trading Standards.
If anyone is in doubt DO NOT TRADE IN YOUR PHONE WITH GOOGLE.
Impeccable service
Impeccable service. Did a pixel 5 trade in against a new 9a and got a €270 refund on a €549 initial cost. Assessed quickly, refunded the same day.
No problems trading in
Traded in a Pixel 7 in the latest promotion, with them offering £345. Was originally put off by bad experiences from others online, but got a full refund for my phone which had very minor cosmetic damage. The entire process took under a week to complete in total.
Providing you follow all the instructions that come in the box, you'll likely have no issues with your trade in.
