I did live chat to Georgia and explained I would like to go ahead with my insurance plan.
Georgia said no problem. After details were checked, I arranged my payment.
I felt that the service I received was excellent. No waiting straight forward.

I had made a claim on 6th October, on the portal it shows a claim, but when I call their 'Customer Service', they said there is a claim. Even on the portal it says that the claim has invoice has been received from my vet. I paid the vet directly, so I am owed over £500.
The lady I have been spoken to was very unhelpful, and my problem still hasn't been resolved.

Generally the cover has been fine(but we've never made a claim) but this year they increased our premiums without notice or explanation to nearly 3 times the current market rate...we havent claimed, the dog is now 5 years old and in good health, so they are clearly not interested in my business, so they lost it.

Having taken the decision to leave Pet Protect, I was due a refund for the month I left. The lady I dealt with said she would diarise to follow up and ensure I received my refund. Which she consequently did. I was very impressed with her completion and closure of an issue and thank her for that.

We have been with this company for our dog for 11 years. The policy cover has steadily gone up over the years at quite a rate. When we first took it out it was £20 per month.
We have only claimed twice in 11 years but it has just gone up 100%, it has gone up from a monthly payment of £118 to £237 per month. Its ia a complete joke and the price is extortionate. You get no thanks for being a loyal customer from this company. I feel sorry for pensioners who would in no way be able to afford these prices and their companions are the ones who will suffer because of greedy company's like this, its a disgrace how much they are asking. I would do you homework before going with this company as this company would take your eyes out. It's fair to say we have cancelled our policy. Thanks for nothing petprotect !!!!!!

The chat support with petprotect is surprisingly better than talking to someone! I didn't think that would be the case, but it helps me to think about the answer they've given and put down my thoughts clearly. I've chatted with someone three times now and each time I've been dealt with quickly and the person has had the correct information to hand. They have also left notes on our account for future reference. Overall impressed.

I've just had a phone call with Georgia who has been absolutely helpful, patient, and thorough in explaining to me re: my pet's insurance policy.
I also do appreciate her gesture of ringing me back after the line was suddenly disconnected. That saved me time from having to go through the whole ordeal of putting out another call and possibly having to speak to another agent and start the process again.
The overall experience today is what customer service should be.

Been with pet protect for years now, 5 years with our previous 2 dogs & still with them with our big girl Newfoundland) dog.
We've claimed a lot as our girl has a lot of mobility issues, has pain killing injections monthly, had ops etc. Our vet claims directly & claims always paid promptly without any hassle.
We recently lost our big boy (Newfoundland dog) & they even sent a condolence card.
Highly recommend Pet Protect.

We have been with pet protect for years. Unfortunately our dog is now 11 and suffers with diabetes. Our policy has more than doubled in price to just under £5000 which is totally out of our price range for insurance! For the first time ever in over 20 years of using them I’m totally unimpressed!!

Pet Protect are a disgrace – a company of cowboys. AVOID at all costs.
We’ve insured our dog with Pet Protect since he was a puppy. Our monthly premium began at around £15, crept up gradually to £30, and this year at renewal was hiked to £60 per month — a 100% increase in a single year.
For context: we haven’t made a claim in three years.
There is no reasonable justification for such an outrageous increase. Blaming “inflation” or “interest rates” is a smokescreen. This is opportunistic price-gouging of loyal customers, pure and simple.
This isn’t our first poor experience, either. Previous claims were met with resistance and unnecessary back-and-forth — a process that could easily pressure others into giving up and footing the bill themselves.
Insurance companies are supposed to operate with fairness and integrity, particularly in a regulated industry. Pet Protect falls far short. Their behaviour is exploitative, unethical, and utterly shameful.
