No animals

Easy to book on pitch up, however the campsite computers were not working and they were not aware of my booking.

Despite this, the lady gave me a quick but warm welcome as she was moving her van.

Admittedly, I did not read the description. However having visited before I was looking forward to seeing the animals.
Sadly, there were no animals. (which is one of the main reasons I booked to stay here) The campsite itself is looking rather tired. Nothing was open, no cafe/bar. Shop sold some basics, but not really a farm shop.
I did not use the toilets or washing up area, so cannot comment. There is water from a bore hole. Emptying facilities were clean.

There is some noise from the railway line

A plus is some really lovely walks down by the canal, and an enclose dog exercise area.

Really hope this campsite returns to its former glory

We booked 6 campings with pitch up

We booked 6 campings with pitch up. Paid some in advance. 1 cancelled on us due to too big camper. After 3 months and many mails 0 refund. They cancelled on us and refuse te refund? That's ridiculous. Will not book with pitch up again. All for the money but not any service.

…no refunds!

We have booked many times with pitchup,but from now on it will be straight to campsite to book ...why? Because the first time we had to cancel they did not reply to emails until the 6th email ,and we were then informed " we only give refunds if someone has died or in hospital"! Basically did not want to know.so beware if ever you want to cancel!

We’ll definitely go again

I can honestly say our welcome on arrival was the best I’ve ever experienced. Warm, friendly, full of info and made us feel at home straight away.

The campsite has a relaxed vibe, plenty of space and encouraged to take the room you need rather than set pitch sizes.
Amazing views and a nice walk down to the harbour
Even lent us some tent pegs when we didn’t have our own
We’ll defo be going back

Amazing 10/10

Amazing! Super friendly hosts amazing wild camping experience, couldn’t recommend any more what exactly what was on the tin and I will definitely be back again!

Very easy to use

Very easy to use . I always put in the area and use the map . It then shows me price for each site and where they are in relation to where I want to go .

Henry at Dagger Woods top notch!

Henry at Dagger Woods is good enough to open his woodland up to would be wild campers. This is as close to wild camping as it gets. Nice and quiet most of the time, easy to relax and unwind, especially when you're homeless and need somewhere to camp now and again. Well done Henry.

Pitch Up Never Disappoints

I’ve used the Pitchup app several times now and never been disappointed, fair and honest reviews. The booking procedure is very user friendly, informative site details and easy to understand pitch availability.

Great little stop off site

Great little stop off site. Lovely food, clean facilities, friendly staff, Lovely dog walking fields which weren’t muddy even after the rain.
Can’t wait to see the finished events field, which at the moment is work in progress.
Would definitely stop again.

Robbing people blind

Shocking company refund policy should be scrapped we booked a 2 day stay at orcaber camping site a week before we were due to go and unfortunately health issues meant we couldn't make it so cancelled day before due to go . The refund policy states no refund within 4 weeks before holiday so I phoned orcaber expecting that if I explained they would refund money minus deposit but the guy was appalling on the phone basically saying tough you shouldn't have cancelled i then asked for a complaint procedure and he said well you can send an email and I will show it to owner but he won't do nothing the guy was an obnoxious xxxx and I would make sure anyone wanting to stay there do not cancel before the 4 weeks because you will defo not get anything back I for 1 will never book through pitchup again

In this case, Orcaber Caravan and Camping Site’s policy states that no refunds are issued within four weeks of arrival.
