I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Pleck Auto Body Repairs.
My vehicle (a private hire taxi) was taken to this garage through my insurer following an accident on 9 January 2026. As a full-time taxi driver, this is my only source of income, so the time taken to complete repairs is critical.
The vehicle has been at the garage since 15 January 2026, and the delays have been unacceptable. For a long period, no meaningful work appeared to be carried out. Repairs were not even authorised until 30 January 2026, and only after I raised a formal complaint.
Since then, I have experienced ongoing delays, poor communication, and inconsistent information from staff. I was given several completion dates, including being told the vehicle would be ready by 16 February 2026, but this was not met.
On multiple visits to the garage, I found the vehicle either outside with no work done or still incomplete. Most recently, I was informed that the final part (a headlamp) had arrived, yet when I attended the garage, the part had not been installed and was still in the back of the vehicle.
Staff provided conflicting explanations, and I was informed that there had been changes in ownership/management and that repairs were being handled in coordination with another company. This raised serious concerns about organisation, accountability, and overall management of repairs.
As of now, I am still without my vehicle and therefore unable to work.
This has caused significant financial hardship, as I have had no income for an extended period and have had to rely on support to cover essential expenses such as insurance and vehicle costs.
I understand that delays can sometimes occur, but the level of disorganisation, lack of communication, and prolonged inactivity in this case is not acceptable.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this garage.
