It wasn’t straightforward at first, with quite a bit of back and forth with a bot, but I eventually got through to a real person. Once I did, my issue was dealt with efficiently and resolved, so overa... See more

It's the freedom of use all the equipment is top quality the staff are friendly and has everything you need all in one space
Cape hill is a really good gym and very popular. Good variety of classes and good managers Daniel and assistant manager Marlon. Morning classes are great by Keith he keeps pushing you in a good way. John A is always great at keeping you motivated and gives encouragement to keep going. John G always full of energy and ready for the class before it starts. Mary’s classes are so fun and she gets everyone involved. Wilson’s class is strict but will give good fitness tips
It was great to be back after a couple of weeks away. Freya is a great coach and I very much enjoyed tonight's spin session. The only downside was that the bike handlebars wouldn't lock in place and kept sliding away from me.
I am a member of Pure Gym Piccadilly London.
It is a flagship branch and really lives up to this.
The staff are amazing- very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I love the classes - especially those taught by AZIZUL . He's a great manager and PT too .
Thanks Azizul i always look forward to training with you and the team .
I’ve been a member at the Shepton Mallett Gym for a year now & was at another gym before that.
There is always a great vibe in the gym & a good selection of classes to choose from .
It never feels over crowded , like other gyms , which is an important factor for me. It’s is always kept clean , tidy & the equipment is put away in the right places.
The staff are friendly & helpful.
The new manager, Nathan , has helped me with some advice/tips on my own fitness progress.
First visit today!
Enrolled in a strength class and was eagerly welcomed with an enthusiastic and friendly coach (Mitch) Despite reservations and nerves about joining a new gym I was immediately put at ease and thoroughly enjoyed my class and a quick sprint on the treadmill on the way out. 🏃♀️
Customer service is horrible and unhelpful. The fact that you can’t call them but book a call 48!!!! hours in advance is even more ridiculous. Been trying to sort an issue for the past 3 weeks and have heard from no one after telling me to send further information on email.
had an issue with my membership and spoke to a worker called Jane she was extremely helpful and helped resolve the issue.
Love coming to this gym. Classes are great and always feel like there is an extra challenge each time so it never gets boring. Sam is a great PT, explains everything well and is really encouraging. Definitely recommend.
Local, spacious, really helpful and friendly staff, always have a smile, and never too busy. The spaces are well looked after and the team work hard to make it so.
Failure to refund under Consumer Rights Act
failing to respond to direct messages through X which they previously took my messages. From 21st September to 05th October. I have just opened a claim through my Bank under consumer rights act for charge back. They know I have learning disabilities and some physical and yet they ignored my constant messages this to me is discrimination to purposefully ignore messages.

I am finding in enjoyable (if that’s the right word) in my 1-1 sessions with Kayleigh.
Kayleigh is very good at giving you confidence and understanding in what you are doing and explaining how things work etc which I need I may not like it at the time and struggle loads but always leave like I have achieved something
She is a credit to pure gym and don’t think I would find continue if it wasn’t for Kayleigh in Ebbw Vale Pure Gym
Please tell her how well she is doing
I have been coming to PureGym Redditch Ringway for nearly 8 years, and unfortunately I feel the standards of this gym have seriously declined, particularly when it comes to cleanliness and management.
My biggest issue at the moment is not simply about using chalk/magnesium – it is about how the whole situation is being handled.
People training calisthenics have used chalk here for years. Recently, notices appeared telling us that every trace of chalk must be cleaned after training. We accepted this and started cleaning it.
The problem was that initially there were not even suitable cleaning materials available. We actually had to write on the board asking the gym to provide something to clean with. Members are now expected to get down and clean chalk from the floor with paper towels/cloths, while at the same time the general cleanliness of the gym seems to have become worse compared with previous years.
If chalk marks remain clearly visible for two or three days after somebody has trained, surely that also raises the question of how frequently those areas are actually being properly cleaned?
Members should obviously clean up after themselves – I have no problem with that. But paying members should not effectively be expected to compensate for declining cleaning standards while being threatened with consequences over small traces of chalk.
I also have serious concerns about the attitude of Assistant Gym Manager Mark Perry.
In my own interactions with him, I have found his manner towards me unnecessarily confrontational, unfriendly and intimidating. I have also seen him approach my female friend over equipment that was mine, and I did not think the way the situation was handled was professional.
What I personally find particularly noticeable is the difference in his manner depending on who he is speaking to. I have seen him being very friendly and smiling when speaking with female members, particularly younger women, while some interactions with male members can feel completely different – confrontational and intimidating.
Obviously I cannot know anyone's intentions, but a manager should treat everyone consistently and professionally.
A management position comes with responsibility. A manager should be able to speak to members, explain rules and resolve small disagreements without making people feel intimidated or unwelcome.
I was eventually suspended over the chalk issue despite having used it for years. After the new notice appeared, we had already started cleaning it and had even been the ones asking PureGym to provide suitable cleaning materials.
I spoke to another member of staff about the suspension, explained everything and agreed that I would continue making sure the chalk was cleaned. We had a normal conversation, shook hands, and I was told the issue should be resolved the following morning.
I returned the next day and my access was still blocked.
PureGym had also just taken another monthly payment from me.
This is not how I would expect a long-standing paying member to be treated over something that could have been resolved with a normal conversation and a clear warning.
There is also a wider issue here.
Over the years I have seen managers, trainers and staff come and go. Previously, staff seemed much more involved in maintaining the gym and keeping it clean. Now the standards seem lower, yet members are increasingly expected to clean areas themselves.
I think PureGym should seriously review both the cleaning standards at Redditch Ringway and the way members are being treated by the current management.
And I think PureGym should consider asking regular members anonymously:
Do you feel the current management at PureGym Redditch Ringway treats members professionally, respectfully and consistently?
• Yes
• No
• I have personally experienced or witnessed inappropriate/unprofessional behaviour
• I would prefer to provide confidential feedback
It would be interesting to see the genuine feedback from the people who actually train here regularly.
Members should respect the gym, put equipment away and clean up after themselves. But that respect has to work both ways.
Paying customers should also receive a clean gym, clear and consistently applied rules, competent staff and management that treats people with respect.
In my opinion, the current situation at PureGym Redditch Ringway needs to be reviewed by somebody above the local management team.
Sandra's Mind class is brilliant! If you're feeling burned out or just want a clearer, calmer mind and some light strength exercises, I can't recommend it enough.
Always clean, tidy and pleasant, no issues with other members and equipment always working
Great place to train.Clean and organised gym.Very helpful and friendly staff.Would definitely recommend joining.
Good training environment.
Easy to join and terminate the membership as required. No contract.
It’s a big gym in the heart of city centre with lot of workout equipment’s with good security and lively atmosphere.
Friendly and helpful staff - it was my first time using any of the strength machines and I was a bit nervous, but during my starter session the manager Connor asked me what my goals were and showed me how to use a core set of machines, giving me some tips as well. I also tried out the core workout class, which was tough but easy to follow. There is an extensive range of classes, including a women's weightlifting class, which really appealed to me as I am a complete beginner. I think the gym will make a massive difference in achieving my fitness goals - very excited to utilise everything it has to offer!
