Friendly atmosphere and good equipment for fitness

Using one regularly in London. Ok gym sometimes overcrowded. but good value for money.

PureGym was a great brand but recently the gyms have become overcrowded with gang culture, dirty workout areas, filthy changing rooms and broken equipment. There is no atmosphere in PureGym anymore, the speakers just play loud announcements and no good gym motivational music. In terms of disability access, I have found their changing rooms to be much smaller and some gyms don’t even have a proper changing room only a toilet with shower which are dirty.

I love the Bodypump class with Lara, she’s great! Overall a great gym at a very good price.

We are a family of 4 people with PureGym memberships, I signed up even before it opened,years ago. This year during the school holiday period, I was travelling overseas and they froze our accounts and then eventually closed them. The reason was because the found it was suspicious that the 4 memberships were paid from the same account, even though the memberships clearly belongs to people with different first names but the same surname, as in most families. Then I had to take our passports into the Gym for them to give us access again and we were told to sign up online again and had to initially pay joining fees again. How ridiculous!

All new, modern and clean equipment. Well set out. Not too crowded (on the occasions I was there). Helpful assistance.

The gym was very welcoming. I warmed up well on the treadmill, stationary bike, and stair climber before a great PT session with Tayler.

It is unacceptable that the only way to contact customer service is through social media, and that resolving a simple issue takes days.

I wanted to upgrade my membership a few days before my scheduled direct debit, but I couldn’t do it through the app, so I contacted customer service. It took over a week to reach a resolution. By then, I could upgrade through the app myself, making their response pointless.

I was unable to train during that time, which was incredibly frustrating. This has been the worst customer service experience I’ve had, and I will be changing gyms.

Really good equipment, love that it’s 24 hours so I can get a workout done whilst it’s quiet. Gym is always clean and tidy, and the few members that do the 3am workouts are friendly. It’s a good atmosphere

I have been a member of puregym for 2 years and never missed a payment. So my payment comes out through recurring card payments and because i have a new card coming my payment got declined. Ive been working away for a couple of days so thought i would sort it out when i got home and when i clicked on my emails my membership has been cancelled. It had been 2 days 🤬

Love lift classes with Jorge! He is an awesome instructor, always making sure you do exercises properly to avoid any injury and to progress in your fitness journey!

Helpful in most possible pure gym is place too go too keep fit quiet sometimes no one disturbing you

I have recently been attending Hybrid Classes conducted by Melvyn, one of the newer trainers at the gym. The classes have been exceptional. I have definitely seen a marked difference in my fitness level and physique. Melvyn is a very intuitive trainer, who offers individual attention to each class participant, not only on a physical level, but on a holistic level too. Melvyn, very kindly offers advice on our nutritional needs which has been invaluable. Since attending his classes, my mindset and approach to training has definitely improved. Melvyn is a great addition to the team.

The worst gym organisation I've ever dealt with. When I signed up I informed with i use a walking stick and may need to use the disable access doors, I was informed email them before I could start my membership, which I did twice but had no contact from them (apart from the automated response email acknowledgement of my email) and trying to contact them is a nightmare and their app is also the worst app I've ever come across. I wish I haf never left JD gym now and looks like im out of pocket of the joining fee and first months membership because no responses to my email so I have to stop the DD with my bank.

I Was really pleased to meet Mark this morning , he was at Droitwich gym , helping out , normally based at Redditch.
He was so friendly & helpful , gave me good advice about different pieces of equipment, unfamiliar to me , along with general exercises, & dietary input .
I wanted to pay him for his time , but he was just happy to assist me , what a star .
I wish him well with his boxing career 🥊.

Great space, easy and secure access. Great equipment. Avaliable lockers, differnt areas e.g. yoga area, cardio area, weights area. All clear

Amazing experience with Emel on GLC class on Tuesday morning. Loved the class and the trainer. High intensity class. Highly recommended!
