I have been buying really useful storage boxes for a while but today while closing a box the lid shattered. Lots of sharp shards had to be disposed of. I contacted customer services but sadly received no service. I thought that they would replace the lid or offer a discount to a faithful customer. They clearly hadn’t read their own mission statement putting the customer first. As a consequence I had a long journey to replace. I am left very disappointed with this company and anxious that this doesn’t happen again

I have bought this company’s boxes for several years now, for many different reasons and storage solutions. Usually from high street stores or Amazon. This time because i wanted the very large size, which I couldn’t find from my usual outlets, i went direct.
Ordering was easy online, prices were average to other outlets certainly no more expensive than the highest. Yes a shipping charge, but it was a strange order and delivery is swift.
DHL is the courier they choose and they keep you informed of tracking and give 1 hour time slots. As can happen in transit a box was damaged.
I contacted the Really Useful Box company, i was asked if i could email photographs of the damage. No more questions, no more issues and once the damage was confirmed a new box was available. That box arrived today, again very swiftly and no problems. Perhaps being labelled ‘FRAGILE’ helped this time.
I can say with this level of service I shall buy directly again, rather than search stores and online.

I did start to panic after my parcel was late and I read these reviews, I then emailed them a couple of times with no response. But then I sent one last email with ‘urgent’ in the title and they replied at last and explained that Black Friday meant all their admin staff had been packing orders instead of answering emails and my parcel was now on its way. Next thing I know I’m expecting a next day delivery. Turned up well protected and everything correct. My fault for ordering around Black Friday maybe, can’t say what it might be like at other times of the year but I’m satisfied enough with my experience.

Missing parts - they don't respond to emails once you've ordered. Do yourselves a favour - order elsewhere and stand a chance of getting a tiny modicum of customer service. Would have ordered more - but they can swing for it now.

I ordered some boxes from this website, and paid for express delivery. The boxes didn't arrive in the promised timeframe, and I was contacted and told that there had been a technical error, and that they would be sent on a day I requested, and the difference in postage would be refunded. I'm giving two stars instead of one because the guy I spoke to on the phone seemed nice and reasonable. The boxes did arrive, but not on the day I asked for, and I never received the refund. When I emailed to remind them, I never received a reply. A disappointing experience.

Terrible customer service, never reply to E.mails, don’t think this is a genuine company.

They don’t make their order details clear for specialist boxes (vinyl record storage in this case) and I ended up with a product that didn’t do what they advertise. When I called for help I got shrugged off by a Jobsworth who might as well have told me to ‘do one’ (not before trying to get more money out of me). This lot should call themselves The Really Unhelpful Box Conpany. Be careful!

They need to make it clearer on their mobile site that they are not the manufacturer of the boxes! Also be wary of the delivery dates - took 7 business days after a couple of emails to chase them when the estimate was 3-6.

Two weeks and still no delivery after being told 3-5 working days.

I ordered them direct from the website.... bad move. DO NOT DO THIS. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. It said 3-6 working days but by the end of working day 7 no inkling of the order - 10 full days late. Still no sign of them. They also close their phone line at 4pm. Via Amazon or Ebay, I could have got them next day. Also the delivery charge was not cheap. Rubbish service. Honestly if I had known I WOULD NOT HAVE GONE DIRECT to them.

I ordered 50 boxes and chose delivery in three to six business days. They hadn't arrived after the six days and so I belatedly decided to look at the Trustpilot reviews.

Horror of horrors! A rating of 2.0! And comments like "Do not order from this company...".

I rang the company and the call was answered almost immediately. On giving my order number I was asked to hold, and a minute later was told that they were out of stock when I placed the order but had come in the day before. They would be delivered on Monday (the call was on the Thursday).

Lo and behold, the package was delivered as promised and very well packed it was too—loads of bubble wrap.

I already have a few Really Useful Storage Boxes and they're great. I ordered a couple more direct from the manufacturers website which said delivery within 3 days. 4 weeks later no boxes have been delivered, 2 emails I sent to chase were ignored. 1 email was replied to to say they'd refund me. No refund was received so I had to resort to PayPal to recover my payment. I'd still buy their boxes but definitely not direct from their own website again.

This is not the company that makes Really Useful Boxes. You are much better you purchase from their official website reallyusefulproducts.co.uk, or from a normal retailer such as Amazon or Argos.

I ordered a large number of boxes which haven’t turned up. No response to emails or their contact from online. I will be pursuing a refund via my bank but AVOID people!

This is NOT the Really Useful Storage company but you are probably here because you didn’t know that either. There are no Ts&Cs on their website but you will get an order confirmation from a different company. This website seems to be almost passing itself off for the actual really useful storage company.

Anyway… actual review… order didn’t turn up and they don’t reply to emails. I’ve sent them a formal cancellation email and ordered elsewhere. I’ve also notified my bank.

Don’t order from them and be aware this is not the company you think you are ordering from.

Much like many other reviews on this page, I cannot advise enough: do not use this company.
I placed an order, it arrived with barely any packaging to prevent breakage. 1/2 order was broken and not fit for purpose. I emailed immediately. Paul Maitland replied informing me (it seemed) I shouldn’t expect the goods to arrive in one piece and I would have to pay for the privilege of returning their damaged stock!
I wrote (hard copy) to the company directors explaining their goods were broken and I had ordered in good faith.
Imagine my surprise when Paul emailed a reply to me instead - ignored everything I had written - and tried to broker a deal where I would not get a full refund.
This company must either be very hard up or incredibly rich and bored to argue over less than 50 quid.
Either way, they send breakables with no proper packaging and then expect the customer to pay for it - literally. Zero integrity. No manners. And they still have my £44.

I haven't ordered directly from their website, but I've bought their products through other stores like Argos, Dunelm, etc. I just want to vouch for their quality. I love these boxes as they enable me to keep my most prized possessions and clothes dust free, moth free, mold free and organised. They stack very well and they're generally easy to lift even for me and I'm disabled. They're also very solid, I broke my pinkie toe when I kicked one by accident a week ago (but I still love them). I have several large boxes from them and they never let me down. Although they clearly can be unkind to toes, I think that's more of a 'me problem'.

I am totally surprised at all these negative reviews. I wrote to Roz yesterday and got an amazingly helpful full page email response. And I am not yet a customer either.

One becomes so ready to be auto responded to, have wait 5 days, totally ignored or palmed off - that to get a personally written direct response to a query is a delight. Thanks Roz

I have ordered £160 value boxes which were delivered swiftly. Unfortunately the biggest box was damaged and emailed straight away to look for advise taken it takes room to store to be ready for return. Many emails and phone calls later now its been two weeks and no dialog whatsoever. Really dissapointing!
