Hard to make reservations
Red letter days sent me an email address that I had to use to make my reservation. But no one replied at that address. Instead I had to visit the restaurant physically to make a reservation.

The venue was dirty
The venue was dirty, the food was overcooked, staff did their best to keep us happy but the general experience was dire, most of the other customers were also complaining, certainly not ever going again

Great package
The package we received was very striking and appealing as our Christmas present. It was easy to activate but the only thing I found was that I had to phone the tour provider to complete the booking process. He was not there, so I had to wait for him to call back. He was really helpful when he did ring back.

Gift vouchers not received, although I received confirmation
I ordered gift vouchers for someone else's birthday, I did it on the day of their birthday so they received the email on the day. Unfortunately although I received a confirmation the recipient did not receive the email. I hadn't let them know I'd sent anything, but was surprised there was not a thank you, 3 days after I asked and was told, no email. It was easily remedied by contacting customer services, but I wish they had just sent the email and he'd received the gift on his birthday, it should be a straightforward process which would be generated automatically. I was disappointed that it didn't work as planned.

Twycross zoo meerkat experience
Twycross zoo, feed the meerkats experience and afternoon tea. The booking process was a pain and was inaccurately described by red letter days. The online link didn't work, and when I finally got hold of the zoo, it turned out that the only way to book was by phone and it seemed that the only way to get the telephone number was by emailing them first. The actual experience exceeded expectations. The feeding was about an hour of behind the scenes, food prep and then actually feeding the eight meerkats. No petting allowed but they are very endearing. Afternoon tea was all laid out and very generous and very good. Don't go in school holidays if you like it quiet. The rest of zoo is interesting as well. A Good Day Out.

We had a good day in all
We had a good day in all, it was very hot though. The gardens I imagine when in perfect conditions would be stunning, they were lovely anyway but like everywhere they had suffered with the heat waves, which couldn't be helped. The afternoon tea was nice, every member of staff were polite, friendly and helpful. This was a birthday treat. The only niggle I had was the cost, i probably wouldn't have gone if I'd been paying as it was too steep for my pension! But had a nice day with my daughter.

The three course meal was amazingly…
The three course meal was amazingly delicious, tasty and well have us coming back again.
The breakfast was just okay and wee went happy that the toaster shot toasts onto the floor.
The room was large and felt empty.
The spa on the offer was from 7a.m. - 9a.m. the following morning which coincided with breakfast which was 8a.m. - 10a.m.
This left us frustrated and displeased!!
As the spa area is basically dedicated to people having actual treatments.
Despite all this, the setting is great and well be back for the food only.
