I would never use Rightio ever again
We had a blocked macerator. To resolve this, we needed to open it up and clear the blockage. Instead, Rightio's contractor just tried rodding/plunging it which did not resolve the problem - indeed AI says that should not be done as it can actually make it worse. We therefore engaged a different company who quickly accessed and resolved the blockage within an hour.
Rightio have since refused to offer any apology or refund, so we are now in the process of seeking a recovery via the credit-card company.
First class job
The plumber arrived at the scheduled time, brought with him all of the equipment and spares necessary for the job, fixed the problem and minimised disruption. He was polite, efficient and tidy. I would use this service again.
Exceptional service
Exceptional service. Locksmith arrived within 30 mins of my initial phone call. Diagnosed actual problem in 10 mins, jammed latch on multipoint locking mechanism. Repaired in 20 mins. Couldn't be more pleased, would recommend without reservation.
Avoid Rightio – Overpriced, Unprofessional, and No Resolution
I would strongly advise people to be extremely careful before using Rightio.
On 15 July 2026, I contacted this company at around 3:30pm regarding an issue with my boiler. I clearly explained the fault and error code over the phone and asked for the charges. I was told there would be a call‑out fee, but their engineer was “very expert” and would “most probably fix it within an hour.” I agreed to the visit, without providing any card details.
Shortly after, I received a message:
“Hello A Soorty, your Engineer will be with you on 17/07/2026 between 12pm - 5pm.”
No one arrived during that time.
Later, another message came saying the engineer was on the way and would arrive between 18:04 and 18:34. Two men eventually arrived, opened the boiler, and one of them asked for a hair dryer—which he then used on my boiler. When I questioned this, he said, “Most of the time it gets fixed like this.” Moments later he claimed the fan was broken, said he didn’t have the part, and would check at the depot and call me the next day. He also said that if the fan wasn’t available, it would need to be ordered and would arrive by Tuesday.
No call came.
Not Saturday, not Sunday, not Monday.
On Tuesday, I called twice—no answer. Later, I received a call from someone who was extremely unprofessional. He told me the total cost would be £780 to replace the fan. I said that was too much and I wasn’t buying a new boiler. His response was:
“Buy it if you can.”
I ended the call immediately.
I then contacted another company. Their engineer came, spent over two hours, fixed the boiler properly, completed a full service, and charged £380.
Since then, Rightio has been calling me every other day, demanding payment for a job they did not complete. I received this message:
“Hello A Soorty your job is now complete. Please pay your balance of £199.20…”
Complete?
For what?
A 15‑minute visit, opening my boiler, and using my hair dryer?
Now I have received a “final reminder” threatening legal action for £199.20—despite the fact that they did not fix anything, did not return with the part, and did not provide any service worth charging for.
This behaviour is unacceptable. Companies like this take advantage of people and demand money for work they have not done. This is my hard‑earned money, and I refuse to pay for a service that was never provided
Nice polite smart man

Do not use this company !!
Unfortunately there isn’t an option to give zero stars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!
I used them to unblock a toilet and got an extremely high bill. Over £500.
One week later the toilet was blocked again and had to get another company in to finish the job.
Provided a service when I needed it on a Saturday
Broken lock fixed on a Saturday. Engineer arrived several hours after estimated time which was the only issue
Good experience with out any problems

Under no circumstances use Rightio plumbers
Under no circumstances use this company they are rip off cowboys. Our 91 year old aunt who lives alone and has dementia needed her toilet repairing as it wasn’t flushing. Rang a local number unbeknown to us that it would be transferred to Rightio, a national company on Monday. They said that an emergency call out and repair would cost £190 + vat. We thought this was extortionate but had to get it sorted as an emergency. They took card details for the payment which they said would be taken on completion of the job. We were told parts were carried on the van and the plumber would be with us between 5 and 8 that evening. Ten minutes later we had a message to say the job had been rescheduled for Tuesday between 12 and 5. The plumber arrived at 5.44, looked at the toilet and said it needed a siphon, he would have to get authorisation to acquire the part and would be back on Thursday. We told him to cancel the job as this was an emergency and he wasn’t treating it as one and we couldn’t leave our aunt without a working toilet for another 2 days. The plumber was in the house less than 4 minutes ( this was verified when we rang his company to complain). He walked out the door, got in his van and took the payment of £228 from our account even after we cancelled the job. We immediately rang a local plumber who promised to come the next morning. We rang Rightio and explained we had cancelled the job because we couldn’t wait until Thursday and as they had already let us down by rescheduling times we couldn’t trust that they would come. We asked for a refund and was told they couldn’t do this. We were never offered senior citizens discount which they offer on their adverts. I did send them an email to explain that this was extortion and despicable that they would “rob” a 91 year old dementia sufferer but have had no response. We have now seen on this companies Facebook page that this is the way they treat people. They need to be accountable for their actions. Incidently the local plumber came the next day, went to buy the siphon locally and charged £60!!! After reading this review they asked for more details so that they could get back to us within 48 hours…. Still not heard from them after a week and don’t expect to. So unscrupulous 😡

Replacement ball valve in header tankk
Made contact with company. Very polite call handler. Explained l had a problem with the header tank that was dripping water from the overflow pipe plus there was a leak coming from the tank itself. I was advised a plumber would attend site within 24 hours and contact would be made on the day confirming estimated time of arrival. Plumber arrived on time, introduced himself and got straight on with the job. Very happy with workmanship. Would strongly recommend this company to anyone requiring a plumbing service.
Repair of leaking water tank.
Plumber arrived as agreed and carried out the work satisfactorily. As the ballcock tap had seized up it did take him quite a bit longer to finish the job.
Plumbing Rip off Merchants
I needed a plumber to fix my button flush toilet as it suddenly continued flushing not filling with water completely but just draining into the pan. I managed to secure it to stop it filling with a piece of elastic. Unfortunately, I had a very busy day and could not ring around and found the number for Rightio from an ad in one of the booklets that are local trades people. They are upfront with pricing so it is my sorry stupid decision to agree. £166 + Vat so 200 quid. Plumber arrived next morning as agreed. He was an affable guy. Nothing wrong with him, he went to look. It took him less than 5 mins to fix..... I had put a loo blue tablet in the system the day before. (couldn't see it) It got stuck under the arm not allowing it to do it's job. He removed it.... £200 pounds metaphorically, literally down the toilet. No come back as I had agreed! Lessons learned. Don't use the tablets! Never ever ever use Rightio again. I think I was completely conned but I am ashamed to admit it was my own fault... Don't be a Jan...Give Rightio a miss for someone who offers a proper decent service. Paid for what they do!
Prompt service, clear pricing.
Rightio responded promptly and set things in train for the plumber to call the next day. Pricing was clear and adhered to. The job was done p et ofessionally.
Major issue after boiler service
Visit from Wajid to service our boiler seemed to be ok but 2 days later, due to lack of hot water, I discovered all water flow from boiler had been cut-off. This was due to water stops either side of the magnetic filter being left closed.
My attempt's to contact Rightio for 6 days since have resulted in no response whatsoever.
Very good service…
My electrician was on time and kept me fully informed re his arrival
He took care in my home and worked systematically to find a fault an a complex wiring system. He made sure he had fixed the problem and the price charged was fair. Would reccomend.

Disconnected overflow pipe.
Although the repair to a disconnected overflow pipe from my sink and washing machine was a fsirly simple matter it was something that I couldn't deal with myself and was causing much inconvvrnience. The repair was done and extra clips added to make sure the pipe remains secure. The plumber was very polite and efficient in his work.
