Horrible experience with driver
I am a store manager of a retail business that has roadie drivers come in every now and then for orders. They're usually very nice.
Yesterday, the worst driver came into my store. She was rude, and berated both my cashier and I because we were not moving fast enough and she lost out on other orders. Horrible experiences like this can ruin an entire company's reputation.
Don't use this company.
Good But.. I should know what im delivering before submitting an offer!!!
Overall, the experience has been very positive. That said, a couple of issues are worth flagging:
Cell coverage limitations: The app frequently requires a new photo of the item when outside of cell coverage. This becomes especially problematic after I've already left the customer's location, making it difficult to complete the required step.
Item details prior to accepting an offer (high priority): Knowing the exact items involved before submitting an offer would make a significant difference in determining whether I can handle a delivery alone. There have been multiple instances where, had the customer not been home to assist, I would have had to return the item due to its size or weight. While I haven't had to return anything yet, this remains a real risk — measurements and weight alone are not sufficient to accurately assess delivery feasibility.
Great way to earn extra cash.
Federal and state standards pay
I wish you guys would get the pay up to federal standard of at least $0.75 a mile that way we can live and pay our bills too not just pay yours. Also micromanaging the drivers is another issue especially how low you pay. So if you wanna be up the drivers butts you better pay $2 a mile if not back off you only gonna ouss off good drivers with people who expect thing that are not expected or even acceptable cause they have never even takin more then 10 deliveries. So how whoukd that person know my job if they have never done it. So fix this things like maybe get a driver supervisor like me to help y’all fix you copy and paste app cause I started doordash and got them where they are till they stole it and sold it to all of you. So if you want help you have my phone number and email so lets talk once you ready you really fix this app.
Overall the app is good
Overall the app is good , but needs some tweaking to the process and efficiencies.
For example: at the dock pickup there are times where we are waiting 2 plus hours to pickup our delivery and we aren’t getting compensated.
The reprimanding of the return policy is inconsistent , Disingenuous and lacks practical common sense.
Not too bad not too good just enough
For the smaller trips to pay is decent for the longer trips the pay is less than a dollar per mile or a dollar per mile, which doesn’t include the lifting walking carrying packages to front doors scanning and your return trip home but they do reimburse you if you have to do any extra out-of-pocket cost such as parking tomes and fairies just make sure you keep your receipts. There is no gas reimbursement as you are independent contractor.
Some gigs are incredibly underpaid.
I dislike the fact that some gigs are incredibly underpaid.
Some issues are never resolved when contacting Support regarding pickup locations being inaccurate.
Easy to follow
The app is really easy to follow, although I think, if once a gig is accepted..it should allow you to accept other gigs along the way to yhe drop off, or pick up. Pay is average. I would like a promotion, to maybe customer service, and work remotely from home if possible. I believe I have done extremely well. Thank you.

Pay is decent but I drive 100 miles and im stuck 100 miles away
The only thing that is a big problem is…
The only thing that is a big problem is the support chat. It’s absolutely terrible and never helps at all. The “support” is either a bot or a person who doesn’t speak English.
Awful place to work
Customer service is slow to answer, rarely offer assistance and often exit chat after you respond. The app glitches daily whether a black screen appears when you need to take a picture, cycling to allow you to mark arrive at location or complete delivery, sending you back and forth between the same area, marking a package at delivered and then repopulating it after you reach your next delivery. The pay is extremely low and does not cover mileage, gas, wear and tear nor work completed. Roadie is a way to get over on people while calling it flexibility. If a package isn’t delivered by a certain time you must return it and the compensation for that is abysmally low when you factor in you have driven the same distance twice for a fraction of the money. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Could Use Major Improvements
Could Use Major Improvements
Roadie has potential, but there are several areas that need significant improvement. The app could benefit from faster gig acceptance through the algorithm, more available gigs throughout the day, and higher pay. The current compensation often doesn't reflect the time, mileage, vehicle expenses, or physical work required.
Payment has been smooth, which is one positive. However, better driver support is needed, especially while actively completing deliveries.
I recently completed my first Roadie XD route, and it was a terrible experience. The route included about 19 packages, and I expected it to be fairly straightforward. Instead, approximately 15 of the 19 deliveries had issues. In many cases, there was no reliable way to contact the customer, and when there was no access to the property or it wasn't possible to leave the package at the door, there were very few helpful options. The entire process became frustrating and inefficient.
Overall, Roadie needs improvements across the board—better routing, stronger driver support, fairer pay, more incentives, and a greater appreciation for the drivers who keep the platform running. My first Roadie XD experience left me disappointed, and I hope these issues are addressed.
Meeting all the customer service people…
Meeting all the customer service people and being greeted with a smile and respect when I say I'm with roadie. The Driving Experience from one gig to another with the GPS is very helpful and the instructions on picking up and dropping off easy to learn in a short period of time.

I do a lot of deliveries and I don't see I'm making money when you decide your frame time the gasoline your car you ending doing just a little money

I like Brody up fine the one thing I would say that is a sort of drawback is that there aren’t very many deliveries for the app in the Gillette Wyoming area and when there are deliveries there a lot of them out of town so travel of over 20 miles is the norm here. It would be nice to be compensated with the appropriate . $1.50 a mile.
Roadie need to consider the price of…
Roadie need to consider the price of gas and the distance to where the items are going to be delivered not the size because it still cost the same for small items as for big items, and also customer need to be available to help unload items when they order big items roadie expect one person to deliver big items and no help and also for customers to and the calls when driver call them to let them know that we are about to deliver there items and no roadie apartment delivery those are the worst delivery most definitely those customers will not help at all and roadie pays very cheap for those deliveries!
Roadie is best used strictly as a supplemental app alongside other delivery platforms
I have been driving for Roadie for 6 months, and while the platform has a couple of helpful features, the overall experience has been disappointing due to several major issues.
The Good:
Upfront Drop-off Locations: You can clearly see where all the deliveries are located on the map before accepting a gig.
Instant Payouts: The ability to cash out earnings quickly through instant pay works reliably.
The Bad:
Inefficient Gig Grouping: Delivery routes are poorly structured. Instead of grouping drop-offs within the same neighborhood or city, you are constantly sent all over the map.
Long Distances Between Stops: Deliveries are rarely close together; you can expect a minimum of 5 miles (and often much more) between individual stops.
Misleading Mileage: The app is not fully transparent. The total mileage estimated before accepting a gig is often significantly less than the actual distance you end up driving to complete it.
Inaccurate Navigation in Apartment Complexes: The GPS frequently drops you off at the main leasing office rather than the specific building or unit. Drivers are left to figure it out on their own, which often means walking long distances to locate the right apartment.
Slow App Updates Between Steps: Processing a delivery takes far too long. The app slows down and takes time to refresh at every stage—when arriving at the location, when marking where the package was placed, and after taking the proof photo.
Frustrating Customer Support: Reaching chat support takes way too long. Once you finally get connected with an agent, the interaction feels rushed and unhelpful.
Unless Roadie addresses these routing, app accuracy, and support issues, it is hard to recommend this platform for consistent delivery work
