Really difficult to cancel the subscription. They let you keep paying, despite not even using the app. Don't get a subscription here!!!! It's not worth your money.

It was wonderful to use the Camping Filter
It was wonderful to use the Camping Filter which brought us to the most beautiful site.... I don't think we would have found this using regular camping apps. THANK YOU.

Good app but room for improvement
I liked the fact that I could easily create my itinerary and add points of interest along the way. Editing and removing waypoints was handy and easy to do as well. I like the fact that I could see many points of interest across the entire country.
One of the drawbacks is that not all RV campsites are on the map. This is to be expected since they pop up or disappear from time to time. However, the app does not allow you to add the address. For example, we stayed at the KOA at Kankakee Illinois which was not in the app. But I was not allowed to add the address. There should be a GPS function that allows you to add the address and map your destination. Also, booking reservation for campsites from the app is a bit clunky. I usually go outside of the app directly to the campsite's website to book since the link from Roadtrippers app does not always work.
I still consider the app a good planning tool and look forward to updates and improvements.

Nice product, just needs more depth & streamlining
Generally I really like the layout of the graphical user interface and how easy it is to customize your trip. The actual data about places when you click into a RV park for example is pretty thin for attributes & contact information. Your biggest weakness is that you cannot download a trip for offline use. A minor point - some things like deleting a stop takes too many clicks and confirmations, and some of the buttons don't have a keyboard default like enter to make that operation quicker, or an option to eliminate the confirmation step. Generally a good product,

There app is terrible
There app is terrible. Nothing works as It should or as advertised. No one is home for support. The answer I get is we don't know why it doesn't work for you. I have a 40ft class A and this app has taken me on roads I should not have been on. Unsafe app. Do not purchase!! They also will not refund your money when it doesn't work. You have been warned.

Please read my experience and the others posted here..
Please read the reviews before using this company. They will hold you hostage forcing you to pay an annual subscription even when you try to cancel. Once you dispute with your credit card company, they send BS claims that you agreed to pay yearly, which is not the case. This has happened to several people in the comments, among other things. THIS COMPANY IS SHADY AND STEALING FROM PEOPLE. I will be sure to review everywhere I can to warn others. As a mother about to have another child any day, I cannot spend hours writing official letters to try and dispute charges and "prove" that I didn't use their cr#ppy website. How does one even do that?? They know that people cannot prove that they "didn't receive a service" for something like this and they use it to their advantage. I will have to cancel my entire credit card to get away from these creeps. DID I MENTION that in their rebuttal letter, they stalked and provided all of my social media accounts? What is the purpose of this? Their reasoning behind their rebuttal is that I have not disputed a transaction with them before, so I know how great of a service I received. UM EXCUSE ME? I didn't dispute it, because I actually used it. Once. For my college graduation trip. in 2020. NEVER use this company.

Not as Advertised
Used roadrippers premium as I was going on a 4 week trip. Started out great because of Campendium app included, Roadtrippers app is pretty useless. However 3 weeks in they cancelled Campendium and demanded that I sign up again for Roadtrippers which was already paid??Customer (so called) service said they were having problems, I couldn't even sign in to my app.Several tries to renew my password didn't work. Frustrated I asked for my money refunded. They responded by cancelling my subscription!!??!They did not deliver and I am out $60.00. Maybe they could use that stolen money to defend themselves in court. Not an app for RV'ers looking to boondock. Very crooked company.

Sucks sucks everybody sucks
They offered a free trial. I tried it for a weekend trip and found that it was awful. I mean really sucked. But they refused to honor their agreement on the trial and will not refund me my money. It took me two days to learn that I normally did the site suck but the people that work there suck also.

Save yourself the $60
Save yourself the $60 annual subscription and just use Google maps. The features to not justify the cost. I can only blame myself for not canceling the trial on time which is where every subscription service gets you. I tried reaching out to see if they would refund the one day late but they stuck to heir guns which puts an even worse taste in my mouth.

Shady and Deceptive. Roadtrippers is a SCAM.
BE WARNED! Roadtrippers is such a shady company. They know exactly what they are doing when they hide an auto-renewal into your subscription plan. You use the app once for a roadtrip and forget about it until the next year when they charge your credit card $35.99. As soon as I saw the charge I called them and said I haven’t even used this in a year and did not sign up for a renewal plan, they sent me some boiler plate nonsense back that you can see them respond to all of these one star reviews. Of which there are MANY. That what happens when you steal from people. SCAM. STAY. AWAY. FROM. ROADTRIPPERS. I’ll be continuing to post anywhere I can to let people know about this SCAMMING SHADY DECEPTIVE excuse for a company. The only way they can make money is to steal it.

Absolutely would not join RoadTrippers
I absolutely would not join RoadTrippers. In my opinion, they are not an honest business. They set your account to autorenew. A couple of days later, I found an unexpected charge of ~$ $36, and they refused to refund my money. All they would do is set it to not autorenew. Not the way to do business.

Hi Username,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry if that recent renewal for your [link removed] account caught you by surprise.
Because you did not cancel before the end of your annual subscription, your membership renewed into a Basic level for another year and is now active until March 19, 2025. Membership payments are non-refundable, per the Terms of Use agreed to upon signup.
I cannot offer a refund for this recent charge, but your subscription has been set to cancel at the end of this year’s membership. Your membership will expire next year and there will be no further charges unless you manually turn auto-renewal back on.
We truly value your feedback and would love to learn more about how we could specifically make Roadtrippers work for you. If you have any feedback, feel free to reply to this email. Let us know if there's anything else we can do to help.
All the best,
Customer Support
In addition, I turned in a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, which informed me that Roadtrippers had refused to respond to their inquiry.
I encourage everyone to read the reviews here at Trustpilot. In addition, you can also Google Roadtrippers, where you can find similar reviews to mine. I hope you learn from the mistakes I and many others made in engaging with Roadtrippers and avoid them.

Labelling
Professionally I was a GIS Analyst and cartographer for 26 years. I’ve noticed that interstate highway symbols are positioned below the interstate roadway lines. Often you cannot read the interstate id name because of the thickness of the line. I would suggest that the position of the symbols be checked to be sure they are always on top of the roadways. As a point of clarity, I am using an an Apple iPad if that is pertinent. Thank you, Tom Dobbs

Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs, they con you with a free 7 day subscription but they charge you immediately and refuse to refund you.
It's a scam

Locked out and forced to pay upgrade fee after one trip
Unhappy? Too bad; no refunds!
After paying $30.00 for an annual basic account, I spent hours creating one trip.
The next time I log in, I discover that my trip has been "locked" and being held hostage unless I pay more to upgrade to the next level.
Why would I do that when they have just shown me how poorly they treat their users?
A closer review of the website FAQ page reveals that there is no product satisfaction guarantee. Sure, you can cancel, but "tough luck and too bad"; no refunds.
Buyer beware.

USA Only!
This site is great if you are making a USA road trip. It has great planning tools, and if you use it well you are sure to find interesting stops you would otherwise have missed.
But, it claims that "Roadtrippers is the world’s #1 road trip planning tool". And that is basically garbage. Outside the United States it is less than useless.
I tried to plan a trip from Paris to Berlin. But it does not recognise Paris (France, it's fine with the one in Texas) as a valid location.
It did let me plan a trip from London to Berlin - but it had precisely zero sights and attractions along that route.
In short, Roadtrippers is the world’s #1 US road trip planning tool.
As for the comments of the reviewer who said the free version is useless. What does she expect? It's Cleary intended as a demo of what you'll get if you pay. $29 for a year's access is well worth it if you are doing a US road trip.

Free version is useless… use something else
Good idea but free version is useless with just 7 stops makes it totally unusable.
You can't have a roadtrip with 7 stops.... the whole point of the site is to plan a roadtrip but the free version is so bad.
They need to make the free how it used to be! It was good to start with before the greed kicked in.
To Roadtrippers, please add more stops on the free version. It is utterly useless as a free version for a roadtrip with such a limited amount of stops now.
Roadtips simply aren't so short.
I get you want money, but come on, at least make it useable.
Free version is useless… use something else
