The luggage fee is just a scam

The luggage fee is just a scam in its most natural way. Honestly, just charge more for the ticket and stop the idiocracy about centimetres of a piece than cannot be clustered that autistically. Crew always nice, but policies are just massive shithousary

No such thing as a deal!

You think you’re getting a deal. Well think again. Ryanair would charge you for fresh air if they could. Absolutely disgusting. Over £380 for seats and 2 x10kg bags. So for 2 days it has cost over £1,000!

I am a resident with settlement status but a ticket was not issued when I have checked in on the Ryanair app, no option to introduce a travel shared code from gov.co.uk and at the airport in Bucharest the least trained staff and very unhelpful and ignorant. Would try to avoid using Ryanair in the future.

You may think you are saving money, but they do everything to make sure you do not.

Avoid this airline if you can.
From the moment you start boarding it feels like a bazar, staff trying to take your money the whole time, disrespectful.
My husband and I had paid for a priority ticket, extra carry on. They said the size does not match the requirements and immediately said “€70 please you can pay on credit card…”. We obviously said no and arranged our bags to fit the size.
During the flight, while trying to rest, the pilot tries to grabs your attention so you think it is something about the flight, then he starts advertising products, unbelievable!
Unfortunately we have another two flights booked with this airline already, but never again.

Complaint Regarding Recent Flight Experience with Ryanair

Firstly, I found the cabin crew to be quite rude and unhelpful, which made the journey uncomfortable from the start. Additionally, the seating arrangement was very cramped, and the chairs were not comfortable—especially for someone with a disability, as there was not enough space or support.
I was also disappointed with the food provided. Considering the amount I paid, the quality was poor and the meals lacked taste. Furthermore, the temperature on the plane was extremely cold throughout the flight, which made the journey even more unpleasant and left me feeling unwell afterwards.
Another issue was the lack of engaging services or entertainment, making the flight feel very long and uncomfortable. Communication was also difficult at times, as the language used did not fully meet passengers’ needs.
Overall, this experience did not reflect the level of service I expected for the price I paid. I would appreciate it if you could look into these issues and consider improvements for future passengers.

They stole my luggage

They stole my luggage. Now they asked me to pay £56 for delivery to my address.

,, Due to you not wanting to wait for my colleague to do his checks, you will need to collect the luggage or pay a fee of £56 for delivery.,,

I have been using them for 18 years. NOT ANYMORE!

Ryanair to Murcia

Flew with ryanair recently I was a bit sceptical due to the bad reviews but I can honestly say we never encountered any problems. Flights were on time the plane both ways were clean and tidy. The staff were all lovely no issues with baggage charges. Don't believe all the negative reviews I will be flying with them again soon.

I’ve had a genuinely awful experience…

I’ve had a genuinely awful experience with Ryanair, and it’s one that’s cost me dearly — both financially and in sheer frustration.
On my recent flight, they managed to damage my €3,000 carbon bike, which was carefully packed in a proper bike bag. The damage wasn’t immediately obvious at the airport — and yet Ryanair enforces a rigid policy that you must report any damage before leaving the terminal.
This is where it gets even worse. Most airlines allow a reasonable window — often up to 7 days — to report damage, especially for items like bikes that require proper unpacking and inspection. Ryanair, however, hides behind this “report immediately or else” rule, which feels completely out of touch with reality.
To make matters worse, their contracted ground handlers refused to issue a Property Irregularity Report (PIR). Without that document, I can’t even file a claim with my travel insurance. So not only did they damage my bike, but they’ve effectively blocked me from recovering the loss through insurance — something that feels deeply unfair and frankly unacceptable.
At every step, there’s been a lack of accountability, flexibility, and basic customer support. It’s one thing for an airline to make a mistake — damage can happen — but it’s another to put up barriers that prevent customers from resolving the issue afterward.
If you’re traveling with valuable or fragile equipment, I would strongly reconsider trusting Ryanair with it. What should have been a straightforward journey turned into an expensive and exhausting ordeal.
Absolutely unacceptable experience.

Thieves.

Via app added extra 20 kg bag, wanted to add the same for the returning flight of course but for some reason this was added 2x for 1 flight.
There is no option to change it or to remove it.
Steal in bright day for Rayanair. 52 euro gone.
Customer service replied quickly: not permitted not possible.

0 stars for Ryanair

If I had the option to give 0 stars I would. Worst airline ever.
My response to an appaling customer service experience in relation to delayed luggage.
We arrived in Rome, my luggage hadnt been put on the flight. We had a rental car to pick up which wasnt near the airport so we had to leave the airport to pick it up. We also had accomodation to check into for a certain time. We had to come back to the airport twice, to check on the status of my luggage. There was important medication in my luggage that I would need for the next day. We paid for 2 car parking tickets that we shouldn't of needed to what is not incidental about that.
There was noone at the airport initially to deal with the issue, no apology from your side on the day. It was more than an inconvenience, it upset me a lot and spoilt the first day of my holiday that I had spent months working and waiting for.
Your lack of empathy and forced apology offends me and quite frankly I can say Ryanair is the worst experience I have ever had with an airline.

Very disappointed with my recent flight…

Very disappointed with my recent flight experience.

At the boarding gate, I was charged £75 for my cabin bag, which staff claimed was oversized. While I understand the policy, what I experienced was clearly inconsistent and unfair.

Several passengers with similar bags were also asked to pay at first, but were later allowed to board without being charged simply because they did not have a physical bank card available. This effectively meant that those who could pay were charged, while those who could not pay were allowed through.

I paid under pressure in order to board the flight, while others in the same situation were not charged at all.

This kind of inconsistent enforcement is extremely frustrating and raises serious concerns about fairness. I have already raised this with customer service and hope they will properly review the situation.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious, as the rules do not seem to be applied equally.

I had a disappointing experience with…

I had a disappointing experience with Ryanair recently.

I was charged €110 at the airport for check-in because my wife, who is a non-EU passenger, could not complete online check-in due to document verification requirements. This effectively made airport check-in mandatory, yet the fee was still applied. I find it unreasonable to charge passengers in situations where no alternative is realistically available.

To make matters worse, the condition of the aircraft was not acceptable. The seats were visibly dirty and it appeared that the cabin had not been properly cleaned after the previous flight. This is below the basic standard of hygiene and comfort that passengers should expect.

I raised both issues with Ryanair, but received only standard responses referring to their policies, with no real consideration of the circumstances.

Overall, very disappointing customer service and lack of flexibility. I understand low-cost airlines operate differently, but basic fairness and cleanliness should not be compromised. They just simply could not care less!

I experienced a distressing incident at…

I experienced a distressing incident at Eindhoven Airport involving Ryanair staff. My flight FR5682 to Stansted Airport London was scheduled for 21:00 but departed at 21:32. I had all necessary documentation and was boarding when the flight was delayed by 30 minutes.

The female staff member, whom I will refer to as Viggo, was unprofessional and arrogant. She refused to allow me to board despite my valid ticket and boarding pass. I was subjected to mental trauma and anxiety as she denied me boarding and threatened to involve security or the police.

I later discovered that Viggo had targeted me to obtain a replacement ticket, which she intended to sell for additional profit. I lodged a complaint on the Eindhoven Airport website as advised by immigration staff. However, I did not receive any support and felt the process was unprofessional.

Ryanair provided no assistance at the airport and the service desk was unhelpful. I was forced to purchase the tickets and pay a significant amount. In the middle of the night, I was left without transportation or services. The staff members, including Viggo, laughed at me and continued to speak in Dutch.

In the morning, I presented my documentation, but Ryanair demanded payment for the ticket. As I had missed the flight, I was required to purchase a replacement ticket for €375 to return home. This resulted in a sleepless night, a lack of food and considerable physical stress.

I strongly advise caution regarding Viggo and the Ryanair flight . I found myself in a difficult and financially strained situation. I hope that the female staff member will be disciplined and that her actions will serve as a warning to others who misuse their power.

Ryanair services so complicated I called the number multiple times but no response and get chance to speak anyone. No service available at airport overnight and day .

I had the worst experience with…

I had the worst experience with customer service together with a damaged luggage. I traveled from Madrid to Dublin on 14/04/2026. I only realized that my luggage was damaged on reaching home that night. I quickly reported the issue at the airport the next morning but had the worst response/customer experience with the staff. From back & forth emails to going back to the airport to meet their staff, I kept receiving CONDESCENDING response. Well Ryanair…thanks for the poor service and I am proud to say NEVER AGAIN !!
