I would not recommend this company under any circumstances and I If i could give it 0 stars I would ,I paid over £3k in April 25 for a Italian Leather corner sofa ,the base has collapsed and it's akin to sitting on a bean bag ,leather stretched now ,having contactEd after care 6 photos requested ,on reply lack of customer maintenance, the cushions are fixed they cannot be turned ,was advised to move places more often, so if all four seats had been used all 4 bases would be damaged ,no visit end of case ,I've had a independent assessment with a Upholsterer of 45 years experience, his view is incorrect/ lack of foam ,and no barrier in between webbing and foam ,the case is in the hands of the Ombudsman,I have joined a scs complaints group and this problem is rife ,if I have no joy with Ombudsman I'm going to small claims courts! order number 1000173587

Delivered on time with plenty of correspondence prior to the delivery time . Nice friendly lads, put chair in place and made sure I was happy with it before they left.

Poor quality fabric, numerous faults, creases. Unable to speak to anyone at customer services, you have to submit photos on an online form which isn’t easy to navigate. I now have to wait 3 working days to hear. Very poor service and don’t even get me started on the broken light in my hallway which the delivery driver tried to imply was broken before they arrived. Not a happy customer and won’t be using scs again!!

Absolutely Disgraceful Experience – Avoid at All Costs

We purchased a sofa bed from SCS for over £2000, expecting quality and durability for that price. Unfortunately, what we received was a product with a clear manufacturing defect.

When the sofa bed is opened, the section that forms the base of the bed is extremely low, unstable, and sticks out awkwardly. It feels unsafe and poorly constructed. This is not a minor issue — it completely affects the functionality of the sofa bed and makes it uncomfortable and impractical to use.

SCS sent an engineer to inspect it, and he clearly stated that this is a manufacturing fault. However, despite their own engineer confirming the defect, SCS is now denying responsibility and refusing to take any action. Their handling of this situation is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.

Spending over £2000 on a sofa should not result in this kind of stress and disappointment. The way they operate and treat customers once they’ve taken your money is shocking. No accountability, no proper customer service, and no resolution.

Extremely disappointing experience. I would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing from SCS.

BE AWARE WHEN ORDERING FROM SCS KINGSWAY, DERBY!
I have ordered a sifa with a delivery date of September 25. Everything was going smoothly until 2 weeks before delivery, when the online tracker stopped, and the delivery date came and gone. I had to follow up with the store about my order for 8 weeks before it was delivered. Countless calls to the store, only to be told that they don't know what is happening, or they have sent an email to the manufacturer. Every time you get told that someone will call you back, be aware that THEY NEVER WILL call you back. Eventually, after delivery, the store promised a gesture of goodwill, but they had to get a "CODE" from the regional manager, which would take just 3 days. 3 months later and 8 calls to after care, and we are still in the same place, waiting for that "CALL BACK" from someone. The store blames the aftercare and the regional manager, aftercare stated that it is for the store to resolve.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE STORE UNLESS SOMETHING IS IN STOCK AND YOU CAN TAKE IT WITH YOU ON THE DAY!

The two delivery people came on schedule. They were very polite and friendly. They were removing two settees and delivering two new ones. They were respectful and careful to our property. Did the job really well. We were very satisfied. Thanks for a great job.

Sales assistant made multiple errors with the order which took months to rectify. I took out every insurance for my expensive recliner sofa and the light grey leather peeled within months where you sit on it. They fixed it once then insisted it isn't covered by any of the insurance products I took out (and I took out everything!) So after less than 2 years I had an unsightly sofa that looks like it has a skin disease. Awful company from sales to customer service to complaints department. Buy a sofa from anywhere but here. Their reply to my review implies they take you seriously but I experienced nothing but rudeness from their employees. I still don't understand how after 12 months they think it's acceptable for the leather to peel away.

Paid £2,300 for a sofa that started sinking within just 2 months of normal use. After 4 months, it has deteriorated so badly that it’s now completely uncomfortable and not fit to be sat on.
I contacted SCS both in store and through their online query form, but neither was helpful. I was repeatedly told that this issue is “not covered under warranty”, which is shocking for a sofa at this price point. Essentially, I’ve been left with a faulty product and no meaningful support.
There seems to be no real help or accountability, just excuses. I expect they’ll reply to this review with a generic response rather than actually fixing the issue.
I will never order from SCS again and would strongly discourage anyone else from doing so.

Delivery team advised ahead of time that they would arrive early. Delivered and installed with a smile, two great guys made everything really simple.

We were misinformed at the Derby store by ANCHAL, who assured us the sofa could be made extra firm( which was our main concern prior to ordering). After spending over £2,000, the sofa sank within two months. When we went back, the Derby team showed no interest in helping and treated our concerns as an inconvenience and informed we have to fill an online form. SCS customer service was equally unhelpful, dismissing the issue and hiding behind warranty excuses instead of taking responsibility. The quality of the product is poor, the support is nonexistent, and the overall service feels careless and unprofessional. We won’t be ordering from SCS again and will strongly advise others to avoid them as well.

We were also offered a fantastic discounted price, and the whole experience felt relaxed and genuinely customer-focused.

Communication from SCS was brilliant throughout. From placing the order right up to delivery day, we were kept fully updated. I even phoned to request an afternoon delivery slot, and they happily arranged it without any hesitation.

The delivery lads were outstanding — friendly, professional and clearly very skilled. They brought the sofas in with care, assembled everything perfectly, and cleared all the packaging away before leaving. Their attitude and workmanship were spot on.

As for the sofas themselves, they are beautifully made, sturdy, and finished to a very high standard. They look even better in our home than we expected.
