Clowance resort is dreadful. Mould in the 'villa'.
Ripped wallpaper.
Over 100 deep potholes.
Disabled toilet not wide enough.
Paths broken.
Site manager Stuart does not care

Been a member with seasons for 23 years…

Been a member with seasons for 23 years and had the happy Christmas email on 22 December stating I will no longer be able to visit the Laugharne site. No discussion. If it wasn’t for the people who paid in at the beginning they wouldn’t have got where they are today.

Advice on exiting Seasons given Laugharne

I would echo all of what has been said in the recent posts, The behaviour of Seasons re Laugharne is awful. My parents. now in their 80s have been members since early 1990s. Can anyone advise whether this latest position allows them to exit their 'contract' (which seems to be a single sheet of paper with no accompanying terms, Would be extremely grateful in advance for any guidance as it is cuasing considerable stress. We have also been Seasons members for 21 years. We also received the Merry Christmas email followed by the message that we are not welcome at Largharne after January 1st 2023 because we have core accommodation status, like all the other reviews this label was a total surprise because we purchased luxury accommodation holidays, we will not arrange a meeting with them in person or via Zoom. It’s a hard sell strategy. I believe it’s the 2069 life span of the contract they want rid of. BEWARE!

Absolutely disgusting treatment of…

Absolutely disgusting treatment of members who have been paying to stay at the laugharn resort in wales for 21 years. Last time my family attended, they were put into a disgusting, moldy old cabin, with stained cushions, steamed up windows and dirty floors, as they want to profiteer off their new cabins.
Now they're being told they're not welcome at the Laugharne resort at all, as they want to save it for their premium members. Despite paying a 'maintenance fee' for 21 years! A very expensive one at that. Absolutely ridiculous and appalling behaviour. Surely can't be legal.

Seasons original member

We have also been members ( inc elite) for the past 20 years. We find the latest decision to restrict us from visiting laugharne is against our original contract. It seems that this will apply to other resorts as well. We have invested a great deal of money over the years and should be treated with more respect than this. Also a period of discussion/ liaison should have been held to discuss any potential changes to our membership. Must look at the legal implications of this decision.

Angry Season's Member. Having been a member for any years it…

Having been a member for many years it seems our investment is now classed third class. We received the happy Christmas email which went on to say we are no longer welcome at the Dylan Resort. This is because Seasons is not honouring it's commitment to it's core members. They have our money but because we are not upgrading (paying them more money) we are only offered the basic accommodation and can only book 12mths in advance now....you are lucky if you get the weeks you want. My recommendation is NEVER to invest any of your money with this company. They will change the goalposts without telling you.

We have been members of Seasons for 25…

We have been members of Seasons for 25 years. We have received an email to say we cannot book at the Dylan Resort in Wales unless we own a 26 share in one of the properties. I do not see how it can be legal to change the contract terms on 14 days notice. This news was sent during the
Christmas break, a case of hiding bad news amongst festivities. I have requested details of the solicitors acting for seasons but yet to receive them. Where are the Trustees who should be looking after the Beneficiaires interests who are the members.

My parents have been members of Seasons…

My parents have been members of Seasons since the early days. In recent years they have turned their backs on the old members for new money in the luxury range. This has meant a clear divide in accommodation between the haves and the have nots in terms of condition and maintainence of the older properties. In Laugharne we had no WiFi to me a basic. Now they are planning to stop older memberships from accessing sites. It might be time to look at terms and conditions of the original agreement with them.

Clowance is two different worlds

Clowance is two different worlds. The lodges seem good but if you’re put in Golf View apartments you’ll know you’re second rate. Even the road is the only one full of potholes(as opposed to the rest of the estate). Our unit was tired, the kitchen was last updated probably 15-20 years ago but the furniture was fine, beds were comfortable and the unit had enough space. Laughably, there no longer is a golf course! We used the pool everyday; at best it was cool never warm and as a result there weren’t many people swimming. We attempted to use the restaurant for coffee/ drinks and each time(different times of the day) it was closed. The grounds are still superb offering great walks but the children’s play area could offer more. It continues to amaze us how awful Seasons are at communicating until a week is booked at a resort and a fast talking salesperson sees it as his mission to fleece a target of every dollar in a style reminiscent of 1980’s timeshare selling.

A single star is too many.

A single star is too many.
We are long term members and have recently stayed at Laugharne. Unless you invest additional resources standard members are confined to accommodation that students would be disappointed with. This is supposedly due to owners upgrading which reduces the requirement for core accommodation. This core accommodation is being allowed to become so poor for reasons that can easily be guessed. On purchase of our original membership, luxury accommodation was promised for the lifetime of your contract. This appears to have been abandoned. Now as a core member we are never again to see the inside of an A frame lodge at Clowance for instance; these have been reassigned as ‘luxury’.
I wonder whether new or upgraded members have considered what’s the standard of their current ‘luxury’ accommodation will be in ten years time when Seasons (or any of their satellite companies) have tinkered further.

We have been seasons member for 18…

We have been seasons member for 18 years winning a green week first we’ve upgraded over the years and now are owners in 36 keys at Burn park we have been to al, the sites seasons have had abroad many times and have holidayed in this country at clowance .burn park, Brunston Castle, Laughane and Whitbarrow we have always had lovely clean accommodation the staff have been friendly and helpful only twice have we had a problem and they were sorted immediately we can’t fault seasons and look forward to many more holidays we have just spent a week at Belton woods Lodges and had a brilliant time accommodation top notch beautiful furniture and amenities very clean wonderful views over the golf course will definitely go again.

Inacessible on arrival . 4 hours to get in

My wife and I have been owners at Clowance with a starter pack for 7years and before that as a timeshare owner. This was probably our last visit as we are down to or last week.
Up to now we have experienced holidays which varied from excellent to above average. However this visit was not very good.
Due to Covid a new arival system is in place which invoves key safes on the doors to access an electronc key. we had 2 apartmets booked and neither was ready on arrival at correct check in time. so congregate in the bar with others who's rooms were not ready. Check in time is 4'00 and we got acess to the first lodge at 17:45. with a keycard from reception as the keylocks on the door are stiff and need pliers to operate them.
At the second lodge the card supplied did not work. We ended up getting a maintenance man to come out and he said we had been given an out of date card and let us in . However it was to the wrong apartment and other peoples goods ( including a handbag ) were in the room which was left unlocked and open by the maintenance man ) After a third visit by maintenance we eventually gained acess at !9:30 )
For the next 3 days attempting to get the manager on the phone failed but when I did eventualy succeed ( 1 day before departure ) his response was hat he will look into it with the team . Todate no update.
So conclusion standard are now at an unnaceptable level , management is not good andyes they tried aggresively to get us to sign into a new contract. Best of luck if you do so ( By the way our accomodation was tired and need work but ew appartments we were shown and high qaulity but overpriced . Enjoy your experience

Seasons Holidays are great. Dog friendly, not yet, but adapting to customer needs is a Must

We have been with Seasons Holidays for about 15 years, and have holidayed at many of their locations in the UK, and overseas.

We have never had a bad holiday, they have all been great in terms of venue, setting, quality of accommodation, food, cleanliness, and most importantly the staff look after you, resolving any issues that we have needed help with.

We are keen to emphasise that the Membership Services Team has been the enabler for all our holidays, and have always found a holiday for us when we ask.

That said, I do think that Seasons Holiday’s income strategy around charging dog owners, via a dog friendly customer investment to enjoy its use, is flawed. It is flawed because it’s a prohibitive investment or spend. Dog owners would pay £20.00 a day cost, which most agree is a fair charge. Properties need to be dog friendly at minimal cost. Building bespoke dog properties is ludicrous.

Good & Bad

Interesting to hear the experiences of Slaley Hall owners - we had a similar experience at Clowance, this is/was a major problem with Seasons i.e. aggressive sales people (they must be on high commission pay). We were expected to pay £4k just for the privilege of being a seasons member - eventually they gave us membership for nothing. Now they are asking for £60 per weeks ownership as a utility charge (this is due to rising fuel costs) - anyone else had this ?? On a more positive note we have had very good holidays at Laugharne and Bude so will stick with them.

Shambolic & duplicitous

Shambolic & duplicitous. Not a company to deal with. Since Seasons took over Slaley Hall we have firstly been barraged by emails to sell our week. We have loved coming to Slaley for 16 years and had no intention of selling. However, now due to underhand tactics we may have had our last visit.
Our happy family memories have been shattered. If you hear Seasons are sniffing round your timeshare be warned.

This many people can't be wrong....

We have always found the owners of Seasons plc to be very rude when dealing with us and our Slaley Hall timeshare, and now we see that their purchase of the resort was never to look after it and preserve the site for timeshare owners. Do your homework by googling the news articles, Radio 4 You and Yours, TCA etc.

Diabolical treatment.

The treatment received from this company since they took over at Slaley Hall Lodges has been diabolical!
We have been lied to, pestered to give up our lodges to them, watched the standards of the lovely luxury lodges we bought diminish and been called names for defending our rights.
Beware! Being involved with this company has been a very distressing and traumatic experience.
