Byron was great, he took excellent care of my property while installing two lights in my bathroom, and went above and beyond even filling in a couple of holes I’d made in the wall myself. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Byron was easy to contact, clearly very experienced and a nice guy to deal with. He managed to fit the job in at short notice, did what he said he would do and provided me with photos and advice on completion which was helpful as I couldn't be on site. Highly recommend and would use again.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by SES Electrical on 4th July 2024. It was also surprising that SES Electrical and his technician Ryan had no service integrity and poor professionalism.
Over the past two weeks, SES Electrical SES were dishonest on what had truly happened on the day, and shirk the responsibility of identifying the issue to customer not giving enough time to test. It was quite sure that they will say nearly the same thing in the comment of this review, but this was exactly what had happened on the day in the following paragraphs, which they did not want to admit.
Firstly, when the electrician Ryan arrived with his ladder, he seemed to rush through the initial inspection. After our detailed explanation of the problem, he went out for around 10 minutes, came back with his tool box, and said he had talked with builders who did construction outside (The common area in the block of the building was under construction since late June). He quickly concluded that there was no significant issue for the inside flat. Because he checked with builders who worked in common area, the switch in fuse box tripping happened for other flats in our block building as well. My husband and I have double confirmed with him the second time for this issue. The possible reason he thought to cause the problem was the damp, caused by the rebuilding of the walls in the common area outside our flat. We spelled the word 'D-A-M-P' and asked if he meant, and then he confirmed it was 'damp' the possible reason.
Then Ryan offered to check circuit / wiring tests for the flat. It is obvious that it was waste of time if the fault he identified was related to outside, and it is quite common that it will get worse or create new problems if something has changed. We thanked him with this offer, but gave him an excuse, and let him go.
However, on the same day in the afternoon, we asked the building manager in our building, and we also talked to the builder, the builder manager, and the electrician who worked in the common area. They all said that we are the only flat who faced the problem, and no other people reported this issue, and their work in the common area is linked to a separate fuse panel (landlord fuse), not any individual flats. They all believe that the switch tripping is related to the inside flat, not the outside common area construction.
It made us quite confused about the issue we are facing, and we contacted SES Electrical for a follow-up. I was met with quite storytelling and unhelpful responses. They replied to us that Ryan cannot have enough time to perform his testing inside our flat to identify the reason, but they believe it was related inside and need to go to our flat for another testing, which was our first time they did not advised us to do. We asked for the internal report of our issue, and gave the details to SES Electrical of what had happened that day, but they did not admit what had happened and what Ryan said to us.
Moreover, the only solution SES Electrical provided was further testing, and charge further labour costs and possible parts. But there was no trust from us through the whole process. It does not matter that much when making a mistake, but the incompetence and dishonesty of covering a mistake was disappointing and untrustworthy for a professional company.
Not only did the electrician Ryan fail to identify the cause of the tripping fuse box, but SES Electrical also blatantly dishonest about the issue, leading to further frustration and inconvenience. Their lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and failure to resolve critical electrical issues are unacceptable. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I will certainly be taking my electrical services elsewhere in the future.

SES got a 4 star review instead of a five, failed on a planed appointment of which had negative consequences for me. On saying that SES made good, turned up and on time 🕰️ on the second attempt. The electrician did an excellent job and I’m very pleased with the outcome and will be utilising their services again.

Needed electrician, found these guys mentioned on a community forum, gave them a call, quick turnaround to arrange a same day visit – they asked for a £150 deposit to be taken over the phone. Not a problem.
Electrician attended, nice guy, needed to go out and buy a new light switch, did that, came back, fitted, job done. Told me it was half an hour labour plus the cost of the switch, so £95, Card payment provided. Done.
Perhaps I should have asked, perhaps it should have been better explained, but the total cost for the job was spread over the two invoices – the deposit is more like a call out fee, and the extra payment was on top, making the total cost for the light switch swap close to £250.
While the work was done same day and the issue appears to be fixed, I can’t help but feel just a little bit ripped off.
