I’ve been buying various items from SGS…a great company in the market
I’ve been buying various items from SGS for at least 5 years and they are one of the most efficient, customer focussed, customer caring companies I can think of. Their equipment is well made, fits together and always done the job, from car creepers, tool trolleys, compressors and engine stands.
Next on my list is a low profile engine hoist.

tool chest delivered damaged ,crushed or dropped most likely in transit by the clowns employed to deliver ..looking at previous posts I am not the first to receive damaged items ..nice customer service offered to replace it or offer a goodwill gesture so resolved in the end
For your safety
I ordered Item. I mistyped the address. I wrote after 1 minute that the address is wrong and they wrote back that for my safety they do not change the address. So I tried to cancel, it did not work. Anyway, I haven't received my order.
I didn't receive my tools
I didn't receive my tools. Delivery note says that is was dilivered and signed by me, which is not true, driver says that he left the items with neighbor, which is denied by neighbor. Very irresponsible handling of order. I needed my tools and now SGS support suggests that I go to the police. This is beyond disappointing.
Poor quality tool chests and terrible attitude
I bought two £600 roll cabs, they were not in a sale and haven’t been in a sale the whole time I’ve been looking. A few months later I pulled the trigger,
Quality is quite poor when compared to the same price unit I have from Halfords,
and to top it off the day after these arrived they then took of £50 each off the price of the units, and to charge £59 delivery also. I bought a bunch of smaller items also to total £1500 I was in touch with SGS someone by the name of Tanya to ask if they would do a price match or store credit as I missed the discount by two days. Short answer was no suck it up and buy more items that are actually on sale.
Over the last 10 years I’ve spent nearly 15k with sgs from car jacks to my entire Milwaukee tool collection and pack out gear, just to be told GTF.
Not happy sgs. You’ve lost a customer in me for sure.

SGS..have been very clear with constant updates all the way through..delivery was exceptionally quick..with the delivery company being very precise and clear with times..the three man team that delivered my order were cheerful and polite..the product is absolutely brilliant very easy to assemble..best money I have ever spent..my garage is now complete with work bench and cupboards looks amazing and strong..

It’s been a very long time since I’ve received customer service on this level. Truly exceptional and on top of that a great range of tools, super fast deliver times and really good products.
I couldn't recommend SGS highly enough and Cathy in Customer Service can’t do enough to help you if something isn’t quite right.
On line purchase - took money knowing they had no stock
Purchased lawn scarifier on-line and paid as Christmas present for relative. Promised 48hr delivery but never turned up so got in touch with customer services, said out of stock and didn’t know when they’d have more! Asked why they took money knowing they had no stock! Could only offer refund even when I ask for an alternative that was in stock. Very poor service. Still waiting for over a week for a refund so contemplating contacting Police and Trading Standards as suspect fraudulent activity as no further word from SGS Engineering despite numerous emails!

Avoid at all cost 😡😡😡 Bought a tool chest for my son who is just starting out as a mechanic the day I received the item I rang to say it wasn’t what my son wanted could I return it. I received an email with a link that day of the list of their chosen couriers paid the postage fee and the item was collected the very next day. I have now received an email from them saying I won’t be getting my refund because the item wasn’t concealed and box damaged but can have the item returned for £14.95 plus vat 😡 I have indoor cctv of me handling and packing the item back in a satisfactory condition as well as pictures of the item packed. Fuming is an understatement and I will be taking this to the ombudsman

What a joke! I would not recommend this company what so ever!!!! Absolutely daylight robbery! Ordered a sand blaster, it arrived, I instantly knew that this product was not what I was looking for after only opening the box, I sealed straight back up and I contacted them requesting a refund, they advised me to send it back which I did on the same day at my expense. Then received a email stating that I returned the item damaged and that I had two options, they would scrap it or I could pay again to have it re delivered. Said I would have to seek a refund from UPS only! I requested photos of damage and there is slight damage to the leg of the cabinet and they are stating that it can not be resold! Are you joking me! The customer service is extremely poor! There returns policy isn’t worth the paper it’s written on! I will be reporting them to trading standards!!!!

They list a few products for the VW T2. I couldn’t work out which would suit my pop top.
I asked, what I thought, for some guidance/advice. Maybe half a dozen email exchanges and we were not getting anywhere.
Turns out I need to be an engineer, as “Marcus” CBA with customer service but he may well be good with “tolerance” in the workshop:
“ I'm not sure how you expect us to work out what you require, without correct measurements; brackets required, etc Hence why I asked for measurements of what you would need.
I've liaised with the team, but without that information, we won't be able to help.
For example; we'd need to know what the diameter of the rod you'd require, whether the end fixings are ball and socket, eyelet, ball stud etc.
Is it the pop top in the image below?
We would need to know the weight of the roof; the closed and extended measurements when roof is up and down, then we should be able to assist.”

Delivery on time Build quality of roller tool cabinet much better than expected, on par with snap on cabinet I have from when I was in the trade.
Will make a sturdy addition to my garage reorganisation ready for my 60 year old car to recomission next year
Will not be ordering again
Ordered a 41 inch tool box and long reach milwaukee ratchet for next working day delivery took a day off work for the delivery as it was intended to go in my work van along side the one I ordered last year.... this year? Guessing someone can't see the 3 boxes because sgs blame AIT home delivery and AIT home delivery are blaming SGS so yet another day I'll have to take off work for the order due to the size and weight, 0 customer service, 0 results from either party on finding my delivery and getting it resolved, even offered to go and collect it from their office which was declined because it's "dispatched" dispatched to nowhere at this rate.
As an update was told I'd get a refund after cancelling the products, waited the 7 days for the refund and it never showed what a surprise, called back to find out what was happening with my refund and apparently they have a policy where they need there items back before issuing a refund, great policy until you point out that they have lost the items and it's not your fault or problem.
Shambles of a company, backwards processes and customer service staff who either don't tell you the right information or make it up as they go along
Very poor service
Air compressor arrived damaged. Handle snapped and cowl damaged. Packaging in good condition. Booked a few days off work for working in car and bikes. What a let down. Not impressed. Awaiting a replacement for when I am back at work!!!!!!!
Wrong part
Disappointed that the shelf rack I ordered came with one wrong length piece and any attempt to contact company to rectify has been ignored. Left with one shelf I can’t attach as shelf support is too short, useless.

The SGS 72 toolboxes are excellent quality. Easy to construct. They look fantastic. The whole experience from ordering to delivery was superb. I called customer services to thank them. It's nice to show some appreciation for a good job and quality service.

Very easy to deal with and actually speak to a person than a machine. Well versed knowledgeable staff, no issues with transactions. The compressor was competitively priced and well made. Delivered next day (unbelievable) by two guys so no hassle with off load or placing where I wanted it. As an engineer and company owner, I highly recommend this company.
