Shadow offers decent performance to play my favorite games on high settings and - if it works - is easy to use. However, it is kinda slow to start up, and sometimes is plagued by technical issues... See more

How this company uses Trustpilot

I do not recommend using this service.
Pay attention to the reviews of people who wrote about their experience using this service!
I was unable to use the service and did not receive a refund for my subscription. In addition, my account was immediately blocked after I left a review.
I collected all the correspondence and contacted a consumer protection organization.
They even removed the Trustpilot rating from the website.

I've been using Shadow PC for over a month now and I'm completely satisfied. The service is very stable and its availability is excellent. I'm happy with the performance; I use the Neo plan to play in 1440p, mainly MMORPGs (LOTRO), action games (Diablo IV), and a few strategy or survival games. I don't play FPS games that require maximum power anymore, nor do I try to push all the graphics options to the limit as long as the graphics quality is good.
I have a great internet speed but still a lot latency problems and its not playable

The experience was very great during the time i was able to use Shadow PC, it was very good, i was able to play any games i would want, the GPU is powerful but th CPU, in my opinion isnt optimized for gaming. I would really like to use it again.
it behaves exactly as a PC. i did not challenge the system with extra device yet. The look and feel is extremely good so far
The most dishonest company ever. Had an issue for close to a month which preventing me from using the service. Found that they do not want to fix the issue so that they can deny giving a refund as they suggest that the issue must be resolved before giving a refund which is not in the terms and conditions.
They are thieves!!!

I purchased the power option (so the most expensive) because I really wanted it to work.
I use shadow for just 4 Programms: Steam, Davinci Resolve, Autocut, Capcut.
I use it everyday, but almost never the first time a day, that I want to use it. Because:
- I cant log in
- there is no free slot available (and it doesn't just wait to log in automatically, I have to actively log in later)
- It simply wont start
- It shut downs forever, so I cant re-login
- The explorer.exe crashes, even if i repair the windows-Image
I reseted and reinstalled my whole shadow PC several Times by now, with it taking some time to login all my accounts and installing the software and adjusting the settings.
I definitely cant recommend it and if I wouldn't have to use it, due to me traveling and not wanting to carry an expensive big laptop, than i wouldn't use it myself.

I really love the idea of a cloud PC, with decent parameters, and Shadow PC is really good.
Sadly, my financial situation, internet connection, and not being good with some software issues didn't allow me to continue using their service. But the experience I had was mostly positive.
I recommend Shadow PC.
I subscribed to Shadow because their product page clearly advertises “Ideal for 1440p & 120 Hz.”
I use a 3440×1440 ultrawide monitor, which is a standard 1440p resolution – so I reasonably expected 120 Hz.
From day one, however, the Shadow stream was locked to 60 FPS.
Games ran at 120+ FPS on the Shadow PC itself, but the stream I actually see was capped at 60, making everything feel laggy and unresponsive.
I spent days and over 45 emails with Shadow support, testing everything they asked for:
different codecs, beta launcher, bitrate settings, drivers, monitors, cables, you name it.
In the end, support simply told me:
“Only 60 FPS is supported for ultrawide resolutions. This is a known limitation. Ticket closed.”
This limitation is nowhere disclosed on their website, during checkout, or in any product description.
Yet they continue to advertise 1440p & 120 Hz — without mentioning that this does not apply to ultrawide 1440p.
When I asked for compensation or a refund, I was told that their policy only covers total service outages over 24 hours, so I get nothing — even though I paid for a feature that I never received.
So to summarize:
Shadow markets 1440p @ 120 Hz
Ultrawide 1440p is secretly limited to 60 FPS
Support confirms it’s a “known limitation”
But it’s not disclosed anywhere before you buy
And they refuse any refund or compensation
That is misleading advertising, plain and simple.
Shadow might work fine if you use a standard 16:9 monitor, but if you use ultrawide and care about smooth high-refresh gaming, you will not get what they promise — and support will just close your ticket.
I would not have subscribed if this had been disclosed upfront.

After 4 months of using Shadow, I'm extremely disappointed with the service. The concept is great, but the execution is terrible.
On average, I've experienced 4 days of downtime each month. That's essentially losing 13% of what I'm paying for. When issues arise, the support team provides misleading solutions that waste time rather than actually fixing problems.
Most recently, my PC got stuck on a Windows Recovery screen 2 days before the monthly renewal. Support initially told me the engineering team would resolve it in 48-72 hours. After waiting that entire period with no access to my PC, they then said the only solution was a factory reset - something they could have told me from the start. This wasn't a solution; it was just stalling until the last moment.
The pattern is clear: poor reliability, frequent downtime, and support that doesn't actually support. When I asked for a refund since the PC hadn't been used at all since renewal (less than 24 hours), they refused any compensation.
I've now unsubscribed while i have paid for another 30 days. I cannot recommend Shadow to anyone who needs reliable access to their cloud PC. You'll spend more time dealing with outages and poor support than actually using the service.
i would have gone for three stars but this last incident reduced it to two which i feel fair about.

SCAM The support is useless, they are only there to create the ticket and gather standard info. After that is weeks without proper response or follow up , waiting for the next subscription so that you pay it , hoping for a reply. Total SCAM

I’m using Shadow PC with a fiber internet connection, yet the experience is still disappointing.
There is noticeable latency even when the connection is stable. I often encounter mouse issues, sound bugs, and random lag spikes that appear without any clear reason, even though everything was working fine just moments before.
At times, the video freezes or skips, which completely breaks immersion, especially for gaming or demanding use cases.
The concept is great on paper, but in practice the overall stability is not there. For a paid service at this price point, I expected a much more reliable experience.
It’s a shame, because the potential is real, but the execution is currently too inconsistent to be fully satisfying.

I have it since 8 years. Never disappointed me.
I subscribed different offers. Now I am on the ultra.
Great if you have a good internet connection.
You can face little problems very rarely and when they occured the support team is very disponible and problems are quickly solved.
Technically, gaming is impossible for me because the quality looks bad and it simply doesn't work. Support doesn't help and just stalls you. There is no refund either. Now I am stuck for 6 months with a product I cannot use at all. I feel completely cheated.

I have shadow a rating of 3 because of its convenience of having a gaming VM and it working properly, unfortunately however it needs fixing due to inconsistent ping spikes out of the blue even on Ethernet cable it still skyrockets when it wants to, it makes gaming or streaming unstable even when Internet is working perfectly other then this it does alright if the team behind shadow can work on this main issue and games not working on it, it would go up to a 4.

Shadow gives you everything you need and does it better than the competition. I've tried GeForce NOW, Boosteroid, etc and Shadow beats them out, maybe even just because there's no silly playtime limits.
If you've got access to good Internet, then Shadow will get you monthly access to AAA titles through a competent virtual PC. While the only game I haven't yet been able to play (Fortnite) doesn't work on virtual PCs, every other game I've tried - including newer titles such as Assassin's Creed Shadows - works a treat. You've got a large amount of control over all of your virtual PC options such as display and network settings, and if you set your streaming bitrate to 20mbp/s then the display is indistinguishable from a native display in terms of visual quality. You get what you pay for and extra storage (£2.50ish per 250gb of additional space) comes at a good price.
I've only run into one occasion where I've had to wait to connect; it gave an estimate of six minutes, and unlike a platform such as GeForce NOW which will promise six minutes and take six hours, the actual wait time was as short as indicated.
I love that there's full support for modding options, in that I wasn't blocked by administrator settings or something, if you can get a mod running on your home PC, you can probably get it running in Shadow. Very useful if you're inclined to want to do any gear unlock exploits in a game requiring changing savefiles and running a custom program to use someone else's, etc.
Some cons from my end that wouldn't be fair to blame on Shadow:
- If internet cuts out or you change your internet connection options for whatever reason, the steam will crash but at least it restarts immediately.
- There will be some stuttering on throttled networks, but that's the case with any virtual setup.
- Seeing as the Shadow servers are located in Germany and no VPNs use is allowed, you do have to put up with manually changing the browser language from German for new browsing sessions.
Edit: Though it's not Shadow's fault, I was very disappointed to see Rockstar remove compatibility of paid Virtual PC services for GTA Online, meaning my main reason for having Shadow in the first place is now gone. If the most popular brands like Shadow, GeForce NOW and Boosteroid would approach these game companies and make a deal to certify their virtual engines with the anti-cheat so that hackers running their own virtual environments can't still ruin it for all of us, they'd keep their business. As it is, I don't know that I'll be keeping my Shadow PC for very long now.
