Shadow offers decent performance to play my favorite games on high settings and - if it works - is easy to use. However, it is kinda slow to start up, and sometimes is plagued by technical issues... See more

I’ve been using Shadow for many years and I’m paying for Shadow PC Power, their strongest option. Overall, it’s still cheaper than buying a brand-new gaming PC, and there are clear advantages — but the service quality has declined noticeably over the years, especially after the acquisition.
Unfortunately, the service is not like it has been. Support does try to help, but the solution often ends up being a full PC reset, meaning you have to download and set everything up again yourself. This rarely fixes the actual issue and is quite frustrating.
Another thing to be aware of is that Shadow shuts down the PC after around 30 minutes of inactivity if you don’t touch the mouse or keyboard. If you’re watching YouTube or doing something else on the side, the PC can suddenly shut down without warning if you’re not actively looking at the screen.
Performance also doesn’t always live up to what’s advertised. Around 4-5 years ago, I could run games on max settings, but today I often have to settle for medium and rarely full high if I want stable 60+ FPS on newer games. Shadow PCs seem to be slowly falling behind modern game requirements.

Bad service, support is not effective. I definitely don’t recommend Shadow.
They are thieves.

I was a customer who spent alot of money with Shadow PC but they moved my VM to a different data centre without informing me. And then when I questioned it I was told there was nothing could be done. No respect for long term customers.

It let's me play all the games I own besides the one that have anti-cheat while also having low latency and to make it better is if they can get anti- cheat to work and make the latency be more consistent
Works very well. All usb devices are well redirected. Perfect to play x-plane 12 with flight sim devices.
I was enthusiastic. I gave them a lot of time and credit, but it appeared not worthy any penny of mine or my time at all. It's not a gaming platform. Online features don't work. Graphics don't work, (my 12 yo gaming pc got all that better). I am much disappointed, as I recommended this to my friends before even try. Deeply sorry, but I highly recommend to buy a gaming machine instead, (the same price for credit as for a fee for this, but much better than this shadow delay). Video skips. Keyboard lags. Instant swearing instead gaming. Not a pleasure. A worse nightmare. Even my English is better than that - don't believe, just watch.

the connection to the second live server very poor. Up to 20% packet loss and up to 1200 ms latency is not acceptable! change that

Shadow PC offers the possibility of accessing a PC without spending exorbitant amounts.
I subscribed to the "Neo" plan, which I'm completely satisfied with, both in terms of price and quality.
That said, you'll still need a very good internet connection (fiber) and a stable line.
Finally, I recommend Shadow PC; the subscription can be canceled at any time, and there are several affordable plans available.
Shadow has been excellent for me overall and I use it on a daily basis. The service is generally reliable, flexible, and genuinely useful, especially for accessing a powerful system from anywhere. When it works as intended, it’s a great experience and something I’ve come to enjoy using regularly.
That said, I’m giving it 3 stars due to a couple of recurring issues that hold it back. The biggest frustration is queuing. Having to wait to log into a service that I pay for is disappointing, especially when I want immediate access. It breaks the experience and feels out of place for a paid product.
I’m also not a fan of the hardware choice for gaming. Using an RTX A4500 instead of a more modern consumer card like at least an RTX 4070 feels like a mismatch for gaming-focused use, even if the A4500 is strong in workstation tasks.
Despite these issues, Shadow remains something I actively use and enjoy. It’s clear there’s a solid product here — it just needs improvements in access consistency and hardware choices to fully justify the price and reach its potential.

Great Service, but at times impossible to find machine for hours
Quite good, it kicks your connection after around 20 minutes of inacdtivity, make it hard to watch videos... :-( So if you are in for a break and don't disconnect, it will do it for itself.
Overall its been great and exactly as explained it is.
The only star off is due to their recent black Friday sale, being only for new customers, but they get that discount for life. It would have been great if they rewarded loyal customers as well. I get they want new customers but it doesn't feel good for someone who joined without a discount.
Service got worse over time. If you're on a fast Ethernet connection, you cannot beat it. However, servers frequently reboot or are unavailable.
I was using the Shadow for gaming and remote work. Now that I'm on Starlink or 5G, it isn't worth the hassle, especially if I have to wait for a seat.

I can recommend it
So far I haven't had issues with the service.
Streaming works well both for gaming and external work.
On the website that you can play ALL your favorite games, you cannot actually play any game that requires a Secure Boot...is basically false advertising. When I ask them why is not stated on the website they replied: "You have to check our website forum"...well that's not what I am doing when is saying on the website that I can play ALL my favourite games! Don't bother with them, they are not providing a refund either even if you are not using the subscription for 1minute! A totally waste of time and money!

As per other reviewers. I was promised a service that I never really received as advertised. Unplayable games, stuttering and random closures.
My internet is perfect as per Shadow's own personal broadband quality test ( I literally purchased the service because of the quality it showed me ).
I also received the same email that many others have on here. "We cannot offer any more support" etc.... Bascially "We can't fix your issue, but cheers for the money"
I've already submitted a chargeback will all evidence, including screenshots of the reviews on here showing just how bad it is. Is per most on here, i will also receive my refund either way.
They try to fob you off, saying they have no obligation to, but they clearly don't know UK consumer law, even digital law.
Just avoid them. Period.Much better and cheaper services out there
And yes, I have also forwarded their details to Trading Standards.
