Great way to collect funds during Covid lockdown. Quick payment!!

I should have read all the fees properly but essentially people are charged to donate. Then I got charged for withdrawing then there was an additional fee per person on top of that when it went into PayPal. Three layers of fees. Won’t use again, lesson learned.

Not a scam as such but avoid.
Our company used this site to collect funds for a leaving gift. It took a colleague weeks and several follow ups to get hold of the funds. I don't buy into the 'poor admin/systems' excuse, it is not hard to do this sort of thing and get it right, they simply give an unacceptable level of service. Would never use them again.

Right, after doing the fundraiser and clickicking the button to release the funds into my PayPal I got really scared because the money hasn't cleared for 3 days and then I read all the horrendous reviews....

However, after sending an email the money got cleared on the same day (phew...) they are not a scam- I think their systems are not perfect, the idea is great. So I am leaving a 4 star review here for the idea and solving my problem quickly. Hopefully they will improve their processing speed. If you haven't received the money just email them - for me, they've been responsive.

Great concept. Great customer services. Collected the funds once closing date had been reached. Would use again.

My campaign ended December 15-2019. I have requested my funds over and over and over again, have emailed and demanded payment - NOTHING. No payment, no contact for MONTHS. This site is an absolute scam.

Have been waiting to receive funds collected for Jenna's Baby Shower. Email and calls not returned. What kind of operation is this?

Mail support was not responsive after 2 emails and 4 days finally got a response, the site was easy to use.

Shocking, we are still waiting to receive nearly £8,000.
Can see monies sitting in the account, and ZERO RESPONSE from the ShareaGift.

Been going on for over a year.

I am changing my original review which was not good, to reflect the fact that my issues have now been resolved. This was a good and simple way of organising a birthday fundraiser. I experienced issues getting the funds released and was becoming frustrated that my emails and calls to the support were not being dealt with. Having finally been addressed the monies were released immediately and are now in my paypal account.

If they could get whatever issues they have with this final and probably most important part of the process and/or more staff to deal with queries then I might consider using it again.

I did get most of my money after getting serious with them and threatening them via their contact centre that I would contact Action Fraud and Trading Standards. There is still money being held though which is probably due to their rather vague policy about funds needing to be requested within 90 days of the donation (which is dubiously something to do with Paypal). Despite me requesting the funds within this time, it seems the delay in actioning has exceeded this time limit and those funds are still showing as "available". I would like them as they are going to charity. Despite contacting them again the funds are still not being sent so I have contacted Trading Standards. I do not think this site is a "scam", however it is clearly not set up to properly do what it says it will do and is letting down the people putting trust in it.

I had several issues to withdraw the money collecting for my kids birthday party but I finally received the sums. They are experiencing serious IT issues at the moment through the CRM they use. They are actually not able to be notified when users request the money in the website. The only chance to be served is by contacting their customer service and insist that you need a response. The company will eventually call you back and transfer the money for you. Apparently, they will change the CRM platform from Mar 2020 so hopefully no more people will have to go through this!

I really wish I'd read these reviews before using this website! Lost out on £80 funded for my boss's leaving present.

Has anyone pursued legal action against this company? How would I go about this?

Can somebody send a email which they will actually read or a phone number.

Fraudulent company, tried multiple times to withdraw my £110 to no avail. You have 7 days to return my money before I take legal action.

I was completely disappointed by this website. I didn’t read reviews before I created the account (stupid I know) I was trying to raise funds for my boyfriends surprise 30th gift from all his friends, I requested the money and didn’t hear from them for 6 days so I rang them, the number of their website didn’t work and went through to a locksmith company? I finally found a different number that went through but they only took messages and even they didn’t have a direct number for the company. They said they would get someone to call back straight away but annoyingly...no call.

After calling several times with no response and equally no response to emails I threatened them with action fraud and said I would call the police.

I had no response but finally they sent me the money. Still no email from them or confirmation but I am thankful I have the money. They have deleted my account so no more contact from them.

They really need to be removed from the internet because from the looks of it they are with holding money. Terrible.

Avoid! Used once a year ago with no problems but this year I have not received the funds raised from my community from them. It is not possible to contact them directly. Their phone number is a call centre that only takes messages and they have not called me back. I have contacted the police.

DO NOT USE!

I almost didn't get our money. We needed to consider legal actions against them and only after that, they sent us the funds. They NEVER answer any messages! Not on their FB, not email and you can't talk to them on the phone, they only take messages which they never follow up!
Find a more reliable service for your crowdfunding!

If only I had read these reviews before I foolishly set up a page on their website. They have £900 of my money and countless email, phone calls and requests via their website and not a single response back. I am out of pocket to the tune of £900 and at a loss as to how to claim my money back.
