When submitting a support ticket, you get a fast response (max. 1 day) from someone who actually reads your issue.
It did not feel like standard answers as most support teams work.
At the end the issue was found in the FW of the device (so not my fault so the say), and the good thing is, that it was admitted directly. No talking around it.

I’ve quite a few Shelly devices, and unfortunately I have one with a fault. I raised a support ticket and the support team responded very quickly. After seeing a video illustrating the problem, they issued a voucher for a no quibble free replacement.

Happy longterm Shelly consumer
I am a Shelly consumer for years now and have been starting to automate my home with IObroker and later HomeAssistant both with integration into Apple HomeKit with around 45 devices today. Shelly is offering devices at a fair price for a lot use cases. Of course devices can be delivered with a defect or having that later but Support is always quickly answering request and offering easy solutions like replacements of DOA.

I do not recommend anyone to choose Shelly home Automation System
I do not recommend anyone to choose "Shelly home automation". This system does not work. Even Shelly technicians were unable to set it up and we still have non-working contacts, lighting, sensors, etc.
They just set up one sensor and turn off another thing.
They may be good for automating some production or fire alarm system, but for Home automation system they are a complete zero - they are useless. We regretted 100 times that we made our apartment with them.

I just had a couple of issues but have been quickly fixed with the excellent support via email and eventual device replacement when needed.

So far I'm quite confident with all my shelly-devices (which are 1pm+ and 3EM), the app and the functions.
A service-request was resolved within a few working-hours.
I had a problem with Scenes using time…
I had a problem with Scenes using time triggers in combination with voltage values from a Shelly AddOn. Shelly support reacts within one day and my issue was solved. This support is really excellent.
Great support
Had an issue with the firmware update of some bluetooth devices (stuck in the process and were no longer accessible). Response from service was fast: opened the ticket saturday(!) morning, received an answer saturday(!) afternoon with detailed instructions to solve my issues. Was a complete success, all devices are working fine now - can't be better.
Best about their devices is the fact that they are open to multiple home automation solutions (i'm using Homeassistant) without(!) cloud connections, running completely locally. At the moment i have about 20 Shelly devices at work and more are definitely coming.
One closing word to the support: as someone who works himself with a ticket system i can tell you that any response time below 24h is superb!

Helpful support and pleasent experiences since 2022
I've started using Shelly relays in early 2023, and had contacted them before with questions while planning my non-obtrusive smart home enhancements. So far it's been smooth sailing and I've had only pleasent experiences with their support team. I've had one device fail, out of 60, and even though it had been bought over a year ago, maybe even 2.5 years ago (I ordered multiple batches), they issued a replacement.

Great little devices you can use to make big things
I've been using Shelly products for over 5 years, and they've been great—very useful and reliable. You can choose to use the Shelly app, or integrate the devices into your own system. I do the latter with Home Assistant, and all the products work flawlessly.
Here are some of the ways I use Shelly:
Smart lighting: I've made all the lights in my apartment smart. Now I can turn off all the lights when I leave, or create scenes that make certain things happen in a specific sequence.
Device control: I use Shelly plugs for my 3D printers. When the power usage drops below a certain threshold (indicating the print is done), the system turns them off automatically.
Temperature monitoring: I can remotely monitor the temperature and control the heating from anywhere.
One piece of advice: if you're planning to build a system using Shelly, start by sketching out your setup. Then test it thoroughly before putting it into full use. You're working with real power (240V or 120V), so safety is essential.
As we say in Flemish, quoting the poet Guido Gezelle: "Denk aleer ge doende zijt, en doende, denk dan nog." Translation: "Think before doing, and while doing, think again."
