Laura Oxford at Ipswich was great!
Been doing CPR and medical emergencies for years with my job but never as in depth and fun as she made it! 🙂
Well presented at the appropriate pace by a very well qualified and personable trainer!
Julie our Instructor was professional, approachable, knowledgeable and informative. The course flowed, and we interacted well as a group. Julie encouraged us to participate at all times, and put us at ease.
I would highly recommend this training course, and I feel I have gained invaluable skills to enhance my role as Mental Health First Aider within my workplace, as well as in my personal life.
Thank you.
AMAZING. I will be honest, i didn't want to do it as I'm not good with remembering things so fast and group role play sessions just isn't for me, never has been. Melanie was so good and i could clearly see her passion for the role she does. I'm grateful to have been given the opportunity from my work place as i also have young grandchildren so it will be so handy if ever needed. All new parents should have to complete this course. Great group. Location was simple for me too and course was actually good fun, didn't think id admit that ha - Thank You
Absolutely amazing training can’t describe how good it is
this was very informative course and Neil Morgan was brilliant in his knowledge and made everyone feel at ease.
The course instructors were approachable, knowledgeable and provided a brilliant service throughout the two days. The information shared was of high quality and was delivered in ways that make it much more memorable than other courses.
Margret was a fantastic trainer and made the course fun and enganing
The instructor was really engaging and the format of starting with a simple injury that escalated through the course, the "what if" format, was a great way to demonstrate the skills needed to be a first aider.
Our course leaders were so helpful and considerate of the needs of all course members.
Really good trainer Laura Oxford ,great service ,good clear instructions
Highly reccomend
At 54, the idea of doing any training course filled me with dread. The day arrived for my three day first aid course in the work place at Millbrook in Southampton had come. Right from the stat and meeting our trainer Em, at the door I was starting to loose the fear. I am sure the Six others that arrived felt the same. We all seemed to get on and work so well as a team. This was down to our trainer Em. She has this great knack of putting everyone at ease and more importantly, delivering a course that keeps our interest , and makes us learn without us noticing. Em is great with everyone and able to bring all abilities together and we can all learn and remember what we have been told. Thank you so much for all you have done for us this week ( 4rh august to 6 th August) in Millbrook and gave us the information and ability to pass the course but more importantly, feel confident to provide the help and support to an injured or ill person. While there is no legal requirement to have a first aider in your workplace, just think what a better place your company will be by sending your staff on this course. I hope the staff at St John's around the country will be a enthusiastic, and as professional as Em. If not, then she would , I'm sure be able to educate the rest, somehow I think every one in the organisation has the same job satisfaction as Em showed us here in Southampton where we all passed. Thank you St Johns and a bigger thanks to Em.
Very knowledgeable and experienced facilitator. The class was hands-on. I learn very important life-saving skills
Judith was very good , very helpful at all stages of the course.
Found it very interesting and very informative. A nice relaxed atmosphere all the way through the course. Really enjoyed it.
I recently attended an Emergency Paediatric First Aid course with St John Ambulance and had an excellent experience from start to finish.
Our trainer, Gina, delivered the course in a professional, knowledgeable and engaging manner. She created a relaxed learning environment that encouraged participation and made everyone feel comfortable asking questions. The balance between theory and practical activities was excellent, and the hands-on scenarios really helped to build my confidence.
As someone preparing to open an Ofsted-registered childcare setting, it was important that I left the course feeling confident in my ability to respond appropriately in an emergency. Gina explained everything clearly, demonstrated each skill thoroughly and ensured that everyone had the opportunity to practise until they felt comfortable.
I came away with valuable knowledge, renewed confidence and practical skills that I hope I never need to use, but now feel prepared to apply if the situation ever arises.
I would highly recommend St John Ambulance to anyone requiring first aid training. If all of their trainers deliver courses to the same high standard as Gina, learners will receive excellent value for their money.
Today I completed the two-day Mental Health First Aid course with Paul in Sittingbourne, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Paul was an excellent trainer who really brought the course to life. He was approachable, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, creating an environment where everyone felt comfortable participating and asking questions and drawing from our own experiences.
Mental Health First Aid is something I already felt passionate about, but Paul's delivery and enthusiasm made me even more committed to the subject. Thank you for two fantastic days of training. I look forward to working with you again on future courses.
