My favourite option for travel to the French Alps
Let me start by saying that if you hate sleeping on a coach then this isn't for you. That aside I find this the best value and by far the most convenient way to travel to the French Alps for skiing. Once on the coach at Victoria you can forget about your luggage until you arrive in the mountains. The seats are comfortable and recline sufficiently to make sleep possible. Very tall people might have a problem with leg room although I would say it's better than on a plane, at 5'10" I have plenty of space.

No stress, low carbon travel - highly recommended!
I travelled with a friend to Tigne on the snow express.
I found the whole service to be excellent. Safe parking for the car while away, none of the stress going through baggage drop off, then security, then baggage reclaim etc. like you have on a flight, the bus drops off and picks up in several resorts so no transfers to worry about catching and most of all the drivers were excellent and made the whole experience good fun.
We found it a bit tricky to get to sleep on the bus but if you can master that, then it is a great low carbon way to travel and highly recommended!

5 star
The company does everything well.
Excellent customer service.
Always keeps you informed of any problems and as soon as they possibly can and then giving solutions.
Used them for years and years and will continue particularly as I have a dislike to flying due to carbon footprint etc.
It basically nice to just sit on the coach and know you will get to your destination whatever happens without a lot of faff or inconvenience.
Keep up the good work :-)

Stress free travel
Easy, no-faff, stress free way to the alps.
With none of the usual stress of flying (and pesky bag fees) Snow Express is an easy and environmentally conscious way to get to the alps. The seats recline, have foot rests and charging facilities and are comfortable enough with the two breaks on each journey. Great service from the driving team as ever. This is the 3rd time I have travelled with the company and will continue for my ski trips.

Everything went to plan
Everything went to plan, comfy bus, plenty space, pleasant and helpful drivers. Only issue was the toilet not working on the return (a technical issue with a new bus) though they did make an extra stop, so not too bad. They’re a query on the pick up point for the transfer link, good communication and sorted.

Slept the whole way
We wanted a cheap easy way to get from A-B whilst skiing - and this is exactly what we got. We went this winter to Meribel.
You essentially jump on the bus in London, everyone on the bus is pretty friendly and likeminded. You then head to the coast for a short ferry ride. Once in France the lights went off, everyone went quiet and we all slept.
In the morning you arrive very close to the alps and you have the chance to stretch your legs and get some breakfast. Thereafter you have a short journey to Moutiers where you get your next bus (easy) to your resort. The journey back is essentially the same but in reverse. The only advise i'd give, is to make sure you are vigilant in moutiers not to miss your connection (esp the one home - the busses up the valleys are very frequent) - we exchanged contact details with another traveller on the way to meribel who luckily on the way home rang us when the bus arrived. The bus was slightly out of site so as we were reading our books we hadn't quite noticed it. (I doubt it would have gone without us but I guess you never know)
The coach is comfortable and spacious. I am 173cm and my partner 180cm (we were sat next to each other) - we actually slept the whole way - and we both arrived refreshed after each journey.
The coach drivers were friendly and they will make sure you are sat with your partner/group (if you are traveling together)
I would definitely recommend!

Coach virgin..
A bit optimistic about spending 18 hours on a coach, but I have to say I found it much better than expected. Unlike flying, getting the ski train or driving myself, which I’ve done many times, this was completely hassle and stress free. No baggage check in, no skipping across Paris for the next connecting train, no waiting at an airport for your transfer. Get on in London, get off in or near resort, apart from the two hour ferry crossing.
Coach wasn’t 100% full, so as a single traveller I got two seats, which were very comfortable with plenty of legroom for a six foot bloke.
Staff were amazing, ( couple of Irish drivers) helpful, good humoured and very professional. Loaded and unloaded all of our gear with great care.
Now my preferred method of getting to the French Alps in season, I will definitely travel with this company again next year, plus it’s by far the least polluting method of getting there!

The coach was clean and on time
The coach was clean and on time. The drivers were very friendly. We were allowed to eat and drink on the coach and bin bags were provided. It was slow getting out of London but fine after that.
Seat belts had to be worn.
There was a toilet, but mainly for emergencies.
There were toilets on the ferry crossing and in France.
There was a security check before boarding the ferry on the way back. It's worth putting anything that may not be allowed in your skis or boot bag.

My first choice go-to means of travel for skiing
My main reason for using this service is the convenience - no hassles as a single traveller trying to source a reasonable transfer to/from the resort/s. Second reason is the cost: despite an understandable increase over the years, it is still good value to my mind.
I appreciate the helpful, personal interest this company takes in me as its client. I have used it many times now and never had cause to complain.

Coaches unfortunately not as luxury as they used to be
Travelled with Snow Express in 2020 and 2022. Coach in 2020 was spacious and comfortable in comparison to the one now, which I wouldn’t describe as luxury. It was explained though that this was as the company originally providing the double decker coaches went bust and so they have had to find an alternative company. It is still a good price, the staff have been really friendly both times and it’s well-run and communicated.
The seats were like rocks with minimal padding - none on the back - which caused some lingering tailbone pain. Space wise, it was difficult for me at 5 foot 5 where there was perhaps an inch spare before hitting the seat in front, and it wasn’t possible to lean forward to pick things off the floor, so I’m thankful to not be taller. Most people on the coach had two seats each so it may have been fine for most (or when the coach isn’t full) but I travelled with my partner so there was less room to move as we had to sit together.

Great staff but horribly cramped
Great staff but horribly cramped. I have been on lots of coach trips but never with so little space. NOT luxury coach travel, definitely CHEAP. Think of short haul budget airlines for the amount of space given. I will not travel with them again.
Still quite uncomfortable during off-season
Return tickets in almost off season times. The coaches are still almost full, and it seems if you board at Folkstone you have better choice of seats as the front rows are reserved.
The staff is nice and helpful, although sometimes very hard to understand through the mic their instructions.
There are not enough rest stops, just for stretching the leg and not seating for 7-8hours.
And the worst of all do not believe the “extra leg room and comfortable seats slogan”. I have travelled with multiple overnight buses more comfortable. Being tall, when the front reclines the seat my knee is hit constantly (people do not look back and ask the fellow traveller). We had more room on the AlpBuses that took as from Moutiers to Menuires.
And yes, the journey is long. The bus was clean, extra trash bags and the toilet was not smelly 🙏🏻
I do not think we are returning with this amount of comfort esp as i hate false advertising.

Good efficient and friendly service
I booked to travel on the SnowExpress coach from London to St Gervais Les Bains in February half-term. Unfortunately we didn't make the outward journey as the trains to London were cancelled due to Storm Eunice, so I can only comment on the return journey.
The coach was comfortable and clean with plenty of legroom (certainly for someone like me who is not tall). We left the interchange point at 9pm and had a toilet stop at 11pm whilst the drivers changed over. It was very quiet throughout the journey to Calais so we were able to get some rest and try to sleep. In my younger days I took some long-distance buses in Brazil on which I used to sleep well because the seats reclined quite far back. On the SnowExpress the seats only recline a little bit. I did get some sleep but woke up quite a lot.
I have given five stars because I feel SnowExpress have been so responsive and helpful. When France banned UK tourists in December, I emailed them to ask what would happen about the coach. Dave phoned me back soon after and talked about what they would do if the ban remained in place (fortunately it was lifted). Similarly, on the day of Storm Eunice, he also rang me up to say the coach would still be going but to expect delays and then checked if I would be making the coach. I feel SnowExpress look after their passengers well.

Currently travelling on the service
Currently travelling on the service. Not the most luxurious of coaches. Wasn’t expecting the first black run of the week to be between London & Dover using the coach toilet! Seriously the stairs are dangerously steep. But overall cheap and cheerful, cant complain.
