Soho sell out

I’ve been a London based member for years, and I’m absolutely done with it. You’ve lost it guys. Sorry but you really have, what a corporate heap of finance bros and posers. Until my membership expires it’ll just be the world’s most expensive cloakroom to ditch my stuff in whilst I go literally anywhere else.

Stay away from Soho House NY

Was a member of Soho House NY and I would not recommend it. I cancelled my member ship 5 months before the annual fees were due and was still charged the subscription fee for another year and I’m told it will take “weeks” for me to get my money back! Absolutely ridiculous!!

The Problems at Soho House Barcelona

The Problems at Soho House Barcelona

The service provided to members at Soho House, in my case specifically in Barcelona, is appalling. After paying for a night at the hotel in Barcelona and requesting information both for my stay and to attend the event included in the package, my guest and I had to endure a rude staff member hanging up on me twice, shouting at me, and being openly disrespectful.

It is truly shameful to witness the increasingly frequent and ongoing mistreatment of clients who raise complaints, alongside an unfriendly and discourteous atmosphere.

Honestly, I believe that someone from London should take a closer look at how things are being managed in Barcelona and bring some order. The ongoing lack of courtesy, unequal treatment, and the constant lack of empathy towards customers are undeniable issues that remain unaddressed and seemingly ignored.

Serious and discourteous.

For when you want some serious r&r and a bit of a treat we always pick either babbington or soho farmhouse, my shoulders drop upon arrival as you are greeted with a smile and ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude - the staff are always on hand but never intrusive, the beds are the best I’ve ever tried, the atmosphere is special but not so exclusive that you feel uncomfortable- it just all hits the right notes - a swim, great food and relax in either a charming cabin or lux room in the house and all of our cares from ‘real life’ melt away - love it!

If you despise nature...

If you despise nature, Soho House's Festival Gunnersbury Park takeover is perfect for you. For a month each year, this "charitable" event excludes local residents, fencing off the entire park. Children can't access playgrounds or sports facilities. Protected wildlife like hedgehogs, bats, and swans are displaced. The soil, after being used for parking and equipment, can no longer sustain life. Hate children? No noise limit near playgrounds. Charity shouldn't harm kids' hearing or block park access for underprivileged children. Soho House ignores protests and removes grassroots projects, catering only to the privileged few who can afford membership. Everyone else? Too poor to matter.

Soho House Improvements for members 2024…

Soho House membership is a highly coveted privilege, but there are some aspects that I believe require improvement. Firstly, members under the age of 27 pay less for the advantage membership and receive the same perks. This policy should be reviewed, as many guests and I feel it is not fair. During busy summer periods, it becomes challenging for older members to connect with younger ones when the pool areas are overcrowded. Therefore, I suggest reducing the number of guests allowed per member from three to one.

Additionally, as a gesture of respect, the membership fee for individuals aged 65 and above should be lowered. Furthermore, there has been a significant increase in members taking photos on their phones without any consequences. This undermines Soho House's key policy of respecting members' privacy. Therefore, stricter measures should be implemented to address this issue.

A loyalty scheme for full-paying members over the age of 27 would be a great addition. Once they have been a member for a certain number of years, they should receive special benefits as a token of appreciation for their loyalty.

Lastly, the quality of customer service and food needs to be drastically improved. As members, we pay a significant amount overall in restaurants and bars, and we expect a higher standard. These five improvements would greatly enhance the Soho House experience in 2024.

Thank you.

Not artists quite ( I would be … )

I am sorry but , Many I have met have never studied /attended school of art having no knowledges of history of music ( it means punk / garage / rock , classic , jazz and the arts which are correlated ) ; much less they were able to talk about finance and politics !
( SH is listed on the Stock Market) ) It seemed they would be ‘artists’ wearing ‘artistic’ brands !
Being a collector of art and music and having knowledges in humanities , finance and politics I was not appalled but sad as I was experiencing what some friends told me about this ‘place’
About food .. it is not artistic too!
In summit I find this brand overrated and I am very sorry because I loveto find out places where people are expression of culture in every way !
I live in Milano ( no SH here), Rome ,NY and London and , of course I visited the SH ‘ many times but ,unfortunately I have never changed my mind about the SH ‘philosophy !

Ps: if you are looking for ‘artists’ you should ‘interview in person people who are looking for !

Kind regard !

Order delayed by 2 weeks and still no need.

I just would like to find out where is my order please. It has been almost 6 weeks and I am still waiting for my order. Delivery time was stated as 3-4 weeks when I placed the order. I have been exchanging emails with your customer service and been told that product is in your warehouse waiting to be picked up by your delivery partners last two weeks. This is very expensive item and I would expect to have my order delivered on time after paying delivery fee as well. The money is already gone out of my account. I need this to be solved asap. Thank you

Fantastic place with excellent facilities. Particular shout out to Sarah Harrison, who from day one made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for Sarah and she was always available to help with advice on how to set up a room, the soho product range and design ideas. All the staff we dealt with were so helpful and professional. This was our first visit and was part of a special treat from our son and his partner. It truly was an unforgettable experience. Thank you all so much you are all amazing. ❤️❤️

Poor customer service, not worth the hype

Poor customer service, does not justify the extortionate prices. Soho River House at Oakley Court Hotel. The draw is supposedly the riverside location and Soho House membership exclusivity but the service is disappointing, guests are not made to feel particularly looked after or special, the menu is quite simplistic (burgers, pizzas, salads at high prices) and the mark-up on alcohol is 400% to 1000%, I kid you not. £60 for a bottle of Prosecco as an example. We ordered drinks and before we could even take a sip we were being asked to order food, we asked for a couple of minutes to review the menus and waited another 15 mins to order food after chasing for someone to come and take our order. Simple requests like not having too much ice in a drink was not relayed so sure enough, drink arrives full of ice… do the basics well people! It’s not hard to listen to your customer and delight. Payment is electronic only, don’t bring cash. Our payments were taken but one apparently did not go through, a device glitch, without any apology or proactive communication all of our payments were allegedly refunded and we were asked to pay again. In an admin nightmare of then checking online banking, confirming refunds, paying again, not at any point was an apology issued for the inconvenience and we left still with potential of one person having not paid and another having paid 3 times which means follow-up phone calls, more refunds, more hassle. Not the relaxing experience they claim to be trying to create on their website. Oh and the bar closes at 9:30pm so don’t plan any late evening drinks.
Thoroughly disappointed and not a premium experience at all. A name alone does not give these companies the right to charge exorbitant prices and not put any effort into customer service. Do not bother. We should’ve been offered a complete tip refund at the very least. The person taking control of the payment situation was quite arrogant and not customer centric at all. Being as it’s a members place, we suggested that they get in touch with our member guest to follow up on any outstanding payment once bank accounts had been updated etc. but this was not acceptable as a solution. We also requested for the waitress to take a photo of our group and were told that it’s not allowed, they then had to check with their manager, then we were told we could have a photo but only facing a certain direction. Ridiculous.
