My Soundrop account was suddenly…

My Soundrop account was suddenly blocked without any explanation. I had $100 in balance and no prior warnings. I contacted support and received no response. This is completely unacceptable. I demand access to my funds or a clear explanation. Avoid using Soundrop if you care about your music and money.

soundrop fell off HARD

I'd never had any issues with Soundrop over a period of 3 years I'd been distributing through them, but suddenly in the last 6 months, the distribution has been abhorrent.
I submitted a song for release back in late February for a release on 11 April. The release never happened on the day it was supposed to. this isn't the first time one of my releases has been late, even though I have submitted it 4-6 weeks in advance.
On 14 April I received an email stating that there was an issue with my cover art and I would have to re-upload the art and then resubmit to stores. The art was a png and it needed to be jpg, which completely goes against what it states in the upload area, where you can upload a png image. I'd never had issues with this before.
I re-uploaded the art as a jpg, but there was no 'resubmit to stores' button, even though it had already been submitted once and I had a UPC code etc for the release. This is where the trouble REALLY began.
I contacted support through their AI chatbot, which, surprisingly, was helpful. It knew it couldn't answer my questions to it directed me to submit a ticket to a human, as the issue was a bug on the website that meant the 'redistribute to stores' button wasn't showing.
I submitted a ticket...a week went by...another week went by...
Nothing. So I contacted support again and made sure I selected "YES" in the drop-down asking me if I had contacted support before.
Another 2 weeks went by and still nothing. My support tickets have been in the system for a month as at today.
AI chatbot's suggestion today was to lodge another support ticket. The way it worded it, it almost sounded like it pitied me and this wasn't the first time it has dealt with this.
I'm officially in the process of migrating my 100+ song catalogue to a different distributor now. I'm so disappointed in what Soundrop has become. Because of their poor customer service (and frankly poor distribution service at this point) I now have hours and hours of work migrating all my songs over to a different company.

Was good but becoming garbage

On the paper it is probably the best distributor service: low price (in the past it was also free), unlimited artists, distributes to many stores, split payouts...

I've been using it for the past 6 years and i'm becoming more and more fed up with it.

The approval process is slow, my releases many times are still not approved on the date they were set to be released.
Also the website is quite slow and sometimes annoying.
The worst part is now not being able to reach out for true support, but getting AI generated generic responses which do not solve my problems (such as the music not approved in time).

Don't bother - no action, no support

I submitted some music for release. Nothing happened, so I tried to get it taken down. I've removed the audio so it can't be actioned, but it's been over a month since I submitted my takedown request and have heard nothing. All you can do is talk to a useless AI "support assistant". It's a shame because Soundrop was apparently once a decent company.

Lame

Releases have been delayed, and there is no information about fixing this problem. AI doesn`t give clear information about that; just always
the same answers

Falling reputation.

Ten years of successful operation gone. The company has degenerated. They don't care about their customers around the world. It is not difficult to see this by reading comments on social networks. They blocked my account, citing some kind of sanctions. They stole my money. I will file a report with the FBI. They should be penalized.

Looks like all the other recent reviews…

Looks like all the other recent reviews share the same sentiment as myself. After a few years of good experiences, it seems like Soundrop has gone to shit. No (living) customer support...only a lame AI that says the same thing every time. I've had releases "pending approval" for months. I've paid for the releases, but I've missed many release schedules now. They completely screwed up and lost my trust. They have no accountability as they don't acknowledge their mistakes nor respond with any level of support. I know they are now owned by CDBaby. As far as I can see, CDBaby is letting their acquisition crash and burn. On purpose? Who knows? This has been a bad experience and a complete let down.

Soundrop is a joke

Soundrop is terrible. They charged me for the service but never actually released the music. Weeks and weeks went by and they wouldn't even reply to my support tickets. It just said "Pending" for several weeks and no reply at all. I tried to get a refund and they wouldn't reply to that support request either. Terrible company. Don't waste your time and money.

Non-existent customer service

I’ve had releases uploaded in December. They are still not up in March. The customer service consists of an AI bot and a form that has so far, after six complaints, result in one reply that didn’t solve my problem. Yes, it’s cheaper than the competition. This is where the advantages end. I’m not surprised to see the very low Trustpilot score, to be honest, it’s deserved. I’m considering moving all my music elsewhere just to (hopefully) know that it will get released three months later, on a set release date, without surprises, and if something goes wrong I will get a reply from the customer service EVER.

I heartily discourage you from using Soundrop.

They are dead

Songs are way past release date no response. They took my $20 and only release my very first song all the other songs since then they have not released at all. Guess I will use another company now. At least I didn't waste any more money on them.

soundrop fell off

i was on soundrop for 1 release a long while back, but switched distros. i realized not too long ago there was a double release on the single and thought i've taken it down, but maybe not - and guess what? i can't even take it down because the site won't let me.
contacted support, which apparently doesn't exist anymore. soundrop really went downhill since 2021, what are they doing? who knows.

Something is definitely going wrong...

Started releasing music with them since they were called Loudr and there were no issues for years. But in the end of 2024 they changed their payout system and now everything just breaking apart. No payouts for almost 4 months, two account locks for no reason - first was resolved but the last is ongoing for a 2 weeks already without any response from their support. I can't even take down my releases and move to other distributor.
