Osborn fitted our new front door a couple of years ago and we've been really pleased with it. But what's been even more impressive is their after sales service. Nick, the installation manager, has been brilliant with following up a minor teething problem we had and with other matters. We've recommended Osborn to friends and they've also had a similar experience to us. This is a company that in our experience does not just take the money and then leave you - they follow up and provide great customer service.

Prior to engaging with Osborn Glass & Glazing I read a review online which I ignored and paid the ultimate price. The person was dissatisfied with some windows Osborn Glass had installed and concluded their post by saying 'if you need a professional job look elsewhere'.

I employed Osborn Glass & Glazing to install some new windows to the entire front of a mid-terraced house.

I was asked to prepare 4 days for the install but on one of the day the installers arrived after 1pm claiming that they had to go and MOT their van.

One of the installer in particular did not seem to have much experience or confidence in what he was doing. They showed very little respect for the property, one was seen standing on a radiator and they removed a swiss curtain track without being instructed and the wall brackets was never seen since.

The installation of the windows was shambolic. The windows were incapable of keeping out the drafts, the outside noise, although acoustic glass was ordered, and keep condensation under control. These issues never existed previously and only appeared after the installation.

The problems were reported to Osborn Glass & Glazing and they did return to do some sealing and tighten of the windows but that did not solve the issues. In the end they said there was nothing more they could do.

I had to obtain an Independent Report to prove to them that the windows were faulty.

The report found that some of the windows were not closing properly and even had up to 9mm gap in one corner.
There were a lot of coextruded gaskets that had high points in each corned which increases drafts in the edge of the window frames.
Osborn confirmed to me that the glass in the windows was Low E Glass but the report confirmed that this was not the case.
There were several other serious issues with the windows which the report claim made them non compliant with Building Regulations.

I echo the sentiments in the post that I had read and would add to that by saying 'if in doubt check it out'.

I have only been able to make this post now because it took almost 2 years to bring this matter to a close.

I spoke to about 6 companies before choosing a company to go with. This company was by far the most straight forward and easy to deal with. From ordering to completion, no problem. Also I note, no hard sell or upselling...like some of the other companies were doing.

Door looked fantastic when fitted however, there was a problem with the lock. Contacted the guys and they came out, assessed what was needed and ordered a new part. All working perfectly very quickly and I am very happy with it. The fact they dealt with the issue promptly and without contest was very reassuring.

I would use these guys again.

The real test of a company is what it does when things go wrong. We had a new front door fitted but it did not fit well and was not as ordered. Osborn Glass acknowledged the problem, accepted responsibility without hesitation, reordered a completely new door and fitted it beautifully. Osborn Glass cannot be faulted on their great customer service which was caring and courteous throughout. And we now have a really lovely door that we're very pleased with. This is the test of a company and they passed with flying colours.

This is a company which has failed deliver what was ordered. Following a long delay, the door and windows which were fitted fell short of what had been agreed with the surveyor. The person who fitted the glass, fitted what was provided and did a good job,
but on examination the specification was not as discussed with the surveyor. When challenged I was informed that there were no records of my request.
The fitter had done a good job but the failure will be costly. Osborn Glass refused to offer any solution and basically called me their client a liar.
