This app has way too many ads

This app has way too many advertisements. Its just music why do they need to add advertising every two songs? Can I not listen to music at my own free will without the constant interruption? I want to focus on studying and I am not going to willingly get scammed and pay their hefty price for monthly subscription. Spotify, your shares are still going down you do not make any profit so stop making your customers angry and make a proper app. Let people to listen to music without constant interruptions. Advertising is fine, but every 10 songs at least. Why am I getting ads every two songs? This app will go down the drain at this rate. Be better yeah

Don't sign up!

Don't sign up!! I did a 3 month trial and did not use it much. I wrote the renewal date on my calendar. I cancelled before that date, but customer service could not see it. Spoke with Maria Christina C on 4-9-26. She spoke to me like I was an idiot the whole time! I said "trial period" and she kept saying I agreed to the recurring billing. Useless company! If they get 11.99 from every person then I guess they'll stay in business until everyone is aware of how they do business

Spotify have to disgust me somehow i want to play a song and I wanna skip you say I can’t skip anymore because I skipped 6 times and I don’t use premium because I just don’t have the time it has too many ads like too many and it’s annoying and then I want to play a song I’ve been playing every time you give me other songs to play and I don’t even like those songs so just let me play my song for crying out loud….😒

Extortion and unfair policies

I live in KSA but want to use my UK bank card to pay for my subscription as I manage all bills from my UK account but they are trying to charge me FIVE times more just for using that specific card. Disgusting. I have the right to pay for what I want to use ANY WAY I want to pay for it. I won't be extorted for more money than I should be by these cheats. Account closed. Goodbye.

This app is fraud it took me an hour to get the stuff deleted off my phone and they have been playing fast and lose with my
Money didn’t have them and it’s impossible to get is deleted and fraud being played it was almost impossible to get the account and get it deleted total trash of u don’t know how to use it don’t get it it was impossible to get rid of it

Sometimes I just hate Spotify

Sometimes I just hate Spotify. They sneak in a change. Now I get videos playing on my playlists bottom left corner and no way to stop them. Give us the choice at least. Its so annoying I move the screen down so they don't distract me.
I want to listen to music not watch it.
GIVE US CONTROL. They don't have to continually change. Why not have a younger section and one for us mature lot!!

Clunky system

Great for convenience usually, but desperately annoying when trying to create a playlist from local files. Doing this is such a faff unless you are doing it one track at a time (painful when you've a lot to add). It's probably because they are not making money from local files you have downloaded.

Pretty rubbish customer service

Pretty rubbish customer service, was unable to cancel a free trial due to travelling and having my phone on me. Literally got charged on the billing day where I was back and no empathy or refund processed. Nowhere as understanding as Amazon or other big companies. Customer service alone has put me off them.

It’s impossible to resolve an issue with their less than adequate AI. I want to invite a family member to join our family plan but as account manager i do not have a link to send them. They have NO human customer service agents.

Disgusting behaviours!
Would be a great platform to listen to your music, however it seems like Spotify try to make everyone to pay for premium. Impossible to listen to music on standard plan as they play ads too often. Only can listen to two songs and then ads, usually the same Spotify premium ads repeatedly! Getting desperate there Spotify? Maybe time to lower your prices, you might get more subscribers?

Just tried to shut my Spotify account

Just tried to shut my Spotify account. Got to step 5 of the "Close My Account" process, where they send you an email to finalise closure (within the next 24 hours??). 2 Problems: all other emails from Spotify go to my main account, whereas somehow this 'close my account' email went to junk folder... explain that??? And then the email itself is impossibly hard to understand. I did a character count - over 11,000, made up o 4 or 5 hugely long URL addresses, and very unclear which is the "close my account" address. Says press the button - well there ain't no button to hit. I think it is designed to purposely look intimidating.

I was pretty happy with Spotify before…

I was pretty happy with Spotify before I signed up for the premium subscription. However, if you sign up for the 4-month ad-free Spotify. It will not play without wifi if you cancel the subscription. Just keeps showing " Sign up for Premier Spotify. This is still happening 2 months after cancelling. Also, it is very difficult to cancel.

NEVER Upgrade from Basic to Premium, Can't Be Undone

NEVER upgrade to a 'premium' plan from a 'basic' plan, once its done, its impossible to revert back to a basic plan. The one and only difference between say for example, Family Premium and Family Basic, is audiobooks and nothing else. Its subsequently impossible to revert, a fact which is hidden in the small print somewhere apparently. A truly vile practise.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

They CANNCELD my subscription as I'm currently travelling aboard.
They refused to refund my advance payment that I already paid till November 2026
Now I contact them via Chat service iy took me over 3 hour 35 min with 10 different agent's as they keep switching and I have to answer the same questions again n again

Horrible COMPANY to deal with

Predatory billing and "Dark Patterns"
They hide the auto-renewal terms and then "hunt" your bank account for 20 days without any notification that the trial ended. When you ask for a refund, they pass you between 5 agents just to tell you it's your fault. Unprofessional and manipulative!
