Misleading in store locations

Went to a store that the app says has the discount and it doesn’t. Contacted Student Beans and the merchant, they said they would fix it. It’s been months, and it’s still showing in the app as being available. Check the discount applies before you shop!!

I was trying to get a military discount…

I was trying to get a military discount for Huel and they use Student Beans. I created an account and uploaded my DD-214 but there was an error. I thought I'd try again with a different account but had the same error. I contacted their customer support, and all they told me is that I was banned for trying to use two accounts. I told them I don't want to use two accounts, I had errors trying to sign in, but they gave me a cookie cutter response about being banned. Needless to say, this has been a terrible experience for me.

Great Customer Service

Joshua Torio was fantastic. I did not have a student ID card or email address and I have learning difficulties. Joshua provided me with an easy way to show proof of being a student during my assessment phase, between joining the second test and beyond. Joshua gave me clear, easy to understand instructions and I was never required to repeat myself and I never felt that he was not understanding me or dealing with what I had asked for. He personalised the customer service to meet my needs. I am truly grateful.

WEBSITE IS COINCIDENTALLY "BROKEN"

THEIR WEBSITE STATES YOU CAN REGISTER WITH A COLLEGE/UNI .EDU EMAIL FOR VERIFICATION - I DID THAT.

FOR SOME IDIOTIC REASON - THEY CLAIM THEIR WEBSITE DOESN’T RECOGNIZE "SOME" EDU EMAIL ADDRESSES - HOW RIDICULOUS CAN YOU GET - ALL EDU EMAILS END WITH EDU.… HOW CAN A SYSTEM THAT’S PROGRAMMED TO DETECT THEM POSSIBLY RECOGNIZE SOME AND NOT OTHERS… LOL…

LET’S JUST SAY, FOR ARGUMENTS SAKE THEY DEVELOPED A SYSTEM THAT DID ONLY DETECT SOME EDU ADDRESSES - HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE A CODER TO FIX THAT ISSUE???? SECONDS!!!! - THAT’S HOW LONG.

BUT NO!!!!!! STUDENT BEANS - ONE OF THE LARGEST STUDENT ONLY WEBSITES OUT THERE - HAS AN IMPOSSIBLE-TO-FIX BUG IN THEIR SYSTEM -
WHERE "SOME” EDU EMAILS ARE UNRECOGNIZABLE AND THEY CANT GET ANYONE TO FIX IT.

EVEN SO - I EMAILED THEM FROM MY .EDU EMAIL ADDRESS, ASKING THEM TO VALIDATE MY ACCOUNT - THEY SIMPLY SAID:

"WE RECOMMEND SKIPPING THE ACADEMIC EMAIL ADDRESS SECTION... AND SIMPLY SENDING US YOUR ID INSTEAD"

WHAT ABOUT THE FACT IVE JUST EMAILED YOU FROM MY EDU EMAIL ADDRESS STUDENT BEANS – AND YOU CAN SEE THAT????

ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE – WHAT IF I DONT WANT TO SEND MY ID DOCUMENTS TO A COMPANY ON THE INTERNET FOR NO REASON? WHY IF I WANT TO KEEP MY PRIVATE, PERSONAL ID DOCUMENTS PRIVATE?

WELL YOU CANT – BECAUSE STUDENT BEANS WANTS THEM!!!!

INSTEAD OF FIXING IT THIS “UNFIXABLE BUG” - THEY PUT UP A FULL HELP PAGE, WITH SCREENSHOTS, DEVOTED TO TELLING THEIR RIDICULOUS STORY. GOOGLE FOR IT, IT’S CALLED:

WHY NOT JUST FIX THIS BUG STUDENT BEANS – ITS BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR STUDENTS HAVING TO GIVE UP THEIR IDENTITY DOCUMENTS FOR YEARS!!!!

INSTEAD OF FIXING IT – THEY CREATE THAT PAGE – DEDICATED TO EXPLAINING IT AWAY!!!!

BUT THEY ALSO EXPECT US TO SEND OUR IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS EVEN AFTER WE HAVE REACHED OUT TO THEM FROM AN EDU EMAIL ADDRESS

THEY PERSON RECEIVING THE EMAIL STILL WILL NOT VALIDATE YOUR STUDENT ACCOUNT – AND STILL REQUESTS YOUR ID DOCUMENTS!!!!

TO SUMMARIZE:

AN INTENTIONALLY “BROKEN” WEBSITE THAT CANNOT RECOGNIZE “SOME” EDU EMAIL ADDRESSES

THEY HAVE NEVER, AND PROBABLY WILL NEVER, FIX THIS “BUG” – INSTEAD THEY PUT UP A HELP PAGE EXPLAINING IT AND TELLING YOU TO IGNORE IT… “CONTINUE AND SEND US YOUR ID”

EVEN AFTER YOU EMAIL THEIR STAFF, FROM YOUR EDU EMAIL, THEY STILL REFUSE TO VALIDATE YOUR ACCOUNT, AND STILL DEMAND YOUR ID… LOL!

THEY ARE CLEARLY SET UP TO HARVEST PEOPLES VALUABLE, PERSONAL, PRIVATE IDENTITY DOCUMENTS

THEY ONLY WANT TO HARVEST STUDENT IDENTIFICATION EN MASSE!

I WONDER IF THEY HAVE A CLAUSE IN THEIR T’S AND C’S WHICH SAYS THEY ARE ALLOWED TO SHARE OUR DOCUMENTS WITH “TRUSTED PARTNERS” – WHO MIGHT JUST HAPPEN TO PAY THEM MONEY TO BE THEIR “PARTNER”?

AVOID STUDENT BEANS AT ALL COSTS – IF THEIR SUPERINTELLIGENT SYSTEM CANNOT RECOGNIZE YOUR ID – AND THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT RECEIVING AN EMAIL DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR ID!!!!
