Really difficult to verify. sent my ID card in multiple times but still not activated. I have had an emails say my membership has been terminated as they have received multiple requests. The reason I sent multiple emails over as no one could be bothered to get back to me in a 2 week period. UNIDAYS is much better and actually offer customer support

I did manage to get a discount, but no better than anywhere else. Most of the “discounts” aren’t actually student offers and are just lists of random sales you can already get directly from retailers. They are all generic, and just trying to push us to click affiliate links.

Went on the 'Lego' website and saw a link to Student Beans. It promised a discount to the disabled. I sent sensitive documents to get verified, which I was. Clicked on a link to 'get my discount' at Lego, spent £220 and got NO discount!
After contactinng Student Beans, someone called 'Joshua Torio' replied. I now believe it is A.I. replying as no-one is that STUPID! Apart from the replies being days apart... I am kept being asked to state what company I was using and for me to screenshot the error. I have stated SEVERAL times now 'Lego', and that there is NO error... Just no discount? So 'Joshua Torio' replied again stating 'sorry for the confusion', 'Please screenshot the error'! 'Joshua Torio' seems to be STILL CONFUSED! I don't know how many ways/times I can state THERE IS NO ERROR, JUST NO DISCOUNT! As I mentioned, 'Joshua Torio' has to be A.I. because NO-ONE can be that STUPID and INCOMPETENT!
So I have uploaded sensitive documents to what could be a scam to STEAL data? I have wasted so much time replying to what is probably A.I.; That CANNOT understand BASIC English. I am now so stressed out and worried about the documents I uploaded! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!

If Joshua is a 'real member' of your team... How is it on several occasions 'Joshua' either ignored, or didn't read my messages (which I still have)? And why did they KEEP asking me (multiple times) to screenshot an error that wasn' there... when in all my messages I CLEARLY stated there was no error message? so either 'Joshua' is an A.I (they are all bad), or they are completely incompetent?

I am a verified, enrolled college student at Grand Canyon University, and Student Beans permanently banned my account before I was ever approved or given access.
I submitted legitimate verification documents multiple times — student ID, class schedule, enrollment confirmation, student portal screenshots — because their email verification system does not work properly with my university’s server. I had to use their AI document upload process instead.
Rather than completing verification, I received a notice stating my account was permanently terminated for “repeated violations of terms.”
No violation was identified.
No incident was described.
No evidence was provided.
I was given a generic list of possible reasons and told it was “likely one of these.” The decision was labeled final in the same message.
Facts:
• I was never approved
• I never accessed the platform
• I never received or used a discount code
• The only action I took was submitting student verification documents
The only possible “issue” appears to be that I tried to verify more than once after their email system failed — which is not abuse, it is an attempt to comply.
I sent support over 30 screenshots and a full timeline of events. Their last reply was January 1. Communication stopped after that.
As a student relying on financial aid and managing a documented disability that my university formally accommodates, student discounts matter. Instead of help, I encountered an automated enforcement system with no transparency, no escalation path, and no accountability.
Being permanently banned without access, evidence, or explanation is not policy enforcement — it is system failure.
If you need manual verification or your school email has strict filters, understand that this platform may lock you out with no recourse.

I attempted to use them to verify eligibility for a Veteran's account on Acer. I submitted the requested documents and after not receiving a response, I opened a support ticket. The response was that my account was disabled permanently due to "Violations of terms."
The only suggestion I was given was to create a new account with a different email but doing this would have been another violation of their terms. I reached out Acer and they have confirmed that my experience was not unique and a lot of other people have encountered this problem.
If you are looking for a discount and Student Beans is the service, take your money somewhere else.
