Profiteering in a time of crisis.

Called these guys to check the availability of an item. Was told it was in stock and they'd be able to deliver if I ordered online. Within 2 minutes the price of the item had been bumped up almost £30.00.

Disappointing :(

Ordered it from someone else.

Please contact us to provide some credence to your allegations.
We strongly refute your claims. We have not increased a single price for the last 2 weeks. Do bear in mind that the pound is at an all time low against the Dollar and the Euro. Also our suppliers and the whole supply chain has to keep its prices in line with current market price.
Our suppliers have increased prices, but mainly due to exchange rate differences.

You informed us that you had a faulty product some 5 months into having it. We arranged collection and refunded you within 7 days. The refund was reduced by 4/36 as per our terms and conditions of sale. This reduction for the 5 months of use you had from the product,. You then decided to inform us the product was faulty from day 1 and we refused to entertain your claim.

After an initial problem with my order staff sorted the problem and new replacement cable arrived within 24 hours. Required them to track down an alternative source which they did quickly and efficiently.

Please avoid this company at all costs

Please avoid this company at all costs. I am giving you the full story before he rebukes it with lies.

We ordered a UPS from this company before coming to Greece. Prior to placing this order, I had an phone call with Jim Gordon to establish whether it could be delivered to Greece. We explained that it would need to go to a local, trusted delivery point and that we wouldn’t be able to collect it and check its condition until our arrival on 15th August. Jim assured us that this wouldn’t be a problem. As arranged, we picked up the delivered parcel on our arrival in Greece. The outer packaging was in immaculate condition with untampered stuff-UK.net tape sealing the box so we had no reason to suspect there was a problem.

On the morning of 16th August, my son – who is an IT professional – opened the package. It was immediately clear that the product box was damaged. When my son opened the box, he immediately spotted three visible cracks on the UPS, as though the item had been dropped pre-transit. He could hear parts moving around within the unit.

When my son plugged the UPS in, it became clear that, although power was going to the unit, it would turn off as soon as anything was plugged into it even though the battery was charged to 100%.
The UPS is in no way fit for purpose.

I contacted Alan Stanley immediately to explain the issue. His response has been that we should have opened the package within 48 hours of delivery to the collection point, even though the company had been told from the outset that it wouldn’t be possible.
He has refused to refund, replace or repair the item and has suggested we send it back to the UK at our cost in perfect working condition, which is clearly impossible as we’ve been sent a broken unit.

Having explained our travel plans clearly from the outset, well before the order was placed, this outcome is unacceptable.

Await his response as he knew we wouldn't collect it for at least two days after a signature at the local collection point.

To reiterate, the key point is that if, at the time of our initial enquiry, when we made it clear that we would be arriving in Greece several weeks after the package, were we assured it wouldn't be a problem. Had we known that we would have no rights to a refund/repair/replacement if the item was faulty we would not have placed the order.

As for the 25 days is not reasonable, 30 days (according to Trading Standards Legislation) is very acceptable. Even up to 6 months (unless it's a car) is acceptable. Unless you can take delivery, open and test within two working days, do not buy as according to the company, you are liable.

For anyone who needs to see the pictures and why we are annoyed at this, please see their Facebook page and look at the review. It's the one under the name Jacquie Lomatschinsky.

Buy from this company at your peril.

Your order was shipped as requested to your delivery address. The goods were delivered on 27 July 2019 and signed for in good condition. You approached us on 19 August stating that the goods were physically damaged.
At no stage did anybody say you should have opened the package within 48 hours. In fact our delivery note requests that you inspect the goods in a reasonable time. We do not consider 25 days a reasonable time to claim for damaged goods.
We did say that had the claim been made in a reasonable time we would have collected and replaced the goods free of charge.

Good product information and service

Very happy with my purchase and service. I wanted two identical monitors and thanks to the availability of technical details on each product I was able to make an informed selection. Stuff let me know very quickly that only one of that monitor was available and facilitated the paperwork for me to make another selection. Delivery etc was all smooth and easy.

Worthless.

Worthless.
Zero communication between the company and UPS... false information given by UPS about deliver attempts, Stuff made all sorts of excuses for them, and chose to try and shift the blame to me. Refunded the item but not the shipping... clearly the fault of UPS, but rather than stand by the customer, Stuff chose to stand with their courier and shaft the customer. I would never use this company again. Customer service gave the impression that they just didn't give a damn... very tired and fed up sounding from the first and only phone call...zero people skills. Utterly useless. I think the number of complaints about this company speak for themselves. Spinning the story doesn't change anything.

You know this is not true. You were in receipt of the UPS tracking when the goods were despatched. You did not put your company name on the order so the driver was looking for a residential address. You were not in at the first delivery attempt. You requested the goods were left with a neighbour if you were out. The drivers GPS confirms he was at your address or a close neighbour when the delivery was refused.
When you called 5 days after the scheduled delivery demanding delivery, the goods had already been refused by you or a neighbour and returned.
We processed a return for you when the goods were received.

Check the part number, product description, photo and price all match.......

I recommend that before ordering from this company you check very carefully the part number, product description, photo and price all match that of the manufacturers website and are what you actually want.

This was my first order and it will be my last as in the end I paid more than I would have from Apple direct!!!.

I ordered 2 Apple watch bands based on website photo, product description and competitive price compared to Apple online.

One watch band came correct so I opened and kept it. One was not as I believed I had ordered. I returned it unopened.

Stuff then advised that they had supplied by apple part numbers which were shown on their website. On investigation the part numbers did not match with the description and photo.

I believed I had kept the lower priced item but this was because I was unaware of apple part numbers and was relying on a photo and description.

It turned out I had actually kept the higher priced item as per the part number!

You live and learn.

From now on I will always cross check part no matches description and photo before I sign up to an apparent bargain.

Customer service was top class

My order was a piece of Lenovo equipment, it unfortunately got lost by the courier. Alan was really good at getting back to me and pursued the case on my behalf until the issue was sorted.

Top class customer service in which you know you will get sorted!

Avoid this company!!!

I am only giving 1 star because there is no option to leave a 0 star rating...
Please avoid this seller at all costs!!!!
I purchased a glass board that could only be hung one way - a fact/limitation which the seller did not feel he needed to put on his website. The only option I then had for this unsuitable product which cost £120 was to pay a £60 specialist courier fee to return it (this is the return price quoted by the seller).
I luckily found my own cheaper courier but this still cost me over £30!!
The person I dealt with was the company owner who was rude, only interested in himself and totally unhelpful.
There are lots of other great online sellers - please use one of those instead!!!

The glass Nobo board that you purchased can only be hung one way as per the images on the website and the rest of the internet. Unfortunately our data providers and the manufacturer do not normally go to the trouble of listing things that a product is not capable of doing. However thanks to your valuable feedback, we will forward your concerns to them.
As for paying to return goods, you will find that the large majority of online retailers request that the consumer pays to return unwanted goods. We are no different and therefore you are unfairly singling us out for what is a widespread industry practice.
Unfortunately for you, oversize and heavy items do cost a considerable amount to be shipped as you have found.
We also note that every one of your calls were answered within 3 rings. Every email was answered within 30 minutes and once you did return the goods you were refunded the same day. Something that doesn't happen with a lot of other great online sellers.

You did indeed contact us via Amazon about the broken strap, the day you received the bag. We requested an image of the product to see the nature of the damage. You kindly sent an image of a bag clasp that was indeed broken, scratched and looking as if it had been used for a lot longer than a few hours. The broken clasp was a different colour and design to the one on the bag that we sent. You also sent an image of the bag, without a broken strap. This is why we refused to refund you.

I have tried to get a replacement or a …

I have tried to get a replacement or a refund for a numatic hoover for over three weeks. I purchased the hoover less than a year ago, and have had nothing but issues with it. The issue here is that the faulty hoover is not even the biggest issue, it is the terrible, terrible customer service. I have never ever had anyone speak to me the way that they spoke to me on the phone! I had taken a day off work to finally get it collected and the courier couldnt take it as it was not in a box, and the agent I spoke to was calling me stupid and I have never been so disgusted by a customer service agent in my entire life. Calling me an "idiot" for thinking they would take it without a box. I have called Numatic, and when I did they were so much more helpful, they have received a large number of complaints for this vendor, and will have to look into this further. I will never purchase anything from Stuff UK again and will warn everyone I know from buying from them!

Amazon have confirmed that the listing error was due to a service error on their Merchant Services utility. Whilst we understand your frustration, working in IT you will understand that sometimes things like this happen. Rest assured it is in our interest to advertise and sell the correct products as that is how we make our money and how we have done so for the last 17 years.

Disgraceful and Disgusting service for absolutely no reason.

In reply to your comments.

1)It was not the wrong part ordered, your picture and model number are completely different from what was sent as you well know.
2)Your system is clearly not up to scratch as you never sent me a new keyboard as I ordered elsewhere.
3) It was not a lenevo box as you well know. In order for the box to be secured it needs to be sellotaped down otherwise the item would fall out so clearly not a very clever reply.
4) Paypal made your refund as you tried to part payment me and I refused and then they investigated and found against you.
5) When your in the wrong just admit these things and dont try to con people from refunds.

I never write reviews but felt I needed to warn people about this company.

I brought a keyboard from this company that was the wrong size. Received a RMA number from them and duly returned the item.
To my astonishment I was then refused a refund, the reason being..........The cardboard box i returned the item in I had sellotaped and therefor that constituted being unable to sell the product again even though they admit the keyboard was totally fine.. Rest assured this was a normal cardboard box that I have about 20 of so was not a manufacturers box or anything like that. It even had the delivery companies details all over it. After speaking to Annette Turner she was most unhelpful and said I should not have secured the item. She honestly tried to convice me I was in the wrong and would not receive a refund.
I escalated the claim to Paypal who said they had never heard of something so ridiculous. They spoke to Stuff Uk who then had the cheek to offer me a part refund. Luckily enough paypal saw through this non sense and refunded me within a day.

I am now contemplating contacting trading standards as I wonder who else they have tried pulling this stunt on.

As you can see from the reviews, great when they get the customer the product they want, disgraceful and appalling service when you want to return something or they dont have in stock what you want.

I would never recommend this company to anyone and if you do make the mistake of buying something then use Paypal as atleast you can get your money back.

No need to reply to me Stuff UK as i have all the evidence against you in an email and can show paypal fully refunding me.

Being a computer company yourself you will realise the importance of purchasing the correct products for your customer's needs. I can see that you called us as you purchased the wrong part and we arranged for the correct keyboard to be sent to you on another order, Which we assume is now working in your customers machine.
As for the product that you returned, it was shipped in a sealed branded Lenovo box. You returned it in this box with our address and returns number and postage labels on it. Our business returns process clearly requests that you do not deface the manufacturers packaging. We agreed to refund the cost of the goods via Paypal.
