The lease cars are not serviced unless you specifically pay yourself ahead of receipt of the vehicle. Thats seems reasonable. Except if your car has a service milestone approaching. For example service lights appear telling you its due. And there not reset. You could drive 50 miles and then be expected to service the car.
Never had a lease car that isn't serviced by the dealer as part of the deal prior to handover. This is not made clear and is not stated on the paperwork.

Read this before you buy from SW Car Supermarket
So the website showcases quality used and maintained cars. My £7000+ car must be an exception. Good car but had clear issues. Guess the 114 inspection is a myth. Called the customer service. I was constantly chasing them and my car was always in and out of there workshop. Poor customer service, rookie mechanics but great website. Anyway til this day my car still has issues.

SW Car Supermarket Werrington
I popped into SW Car Supermarket Site at Werrington, Peterborough and was greeted very nicely by Fraser. Although he was waiting for a customer he pointed me in the direction of the showroom and said he'd get a colleague to come and see me. George came and greeted me, talked me through their process and that their stock was more limited than normal due to such demand.
He showed me a few models and the right areas to go and didn't put any pressure on me at all to purchase anything that day. Upon finding a really reasonable car and explaining I was a cash buyer he talked me through their options and assisted me with the purchase. The whole team at the site was helpful, friendly and went above and beyond to help in anyway they could. I collect the car this week, and I'm already confident that if there are any issues they'll tackle them in the best manner possible.
Thank you very much for the experience George, and Fraser! Top service!

Perfect experience
As a person who has no knowledge of cars, Kevin was very helpful towards me so I could pick the right car for my first car, there was no pushiness into buying a car either.

A distinctly average experience
A distinctly average experience at best. Car was filthy on the inside and had 500 miles more than stated on the clock. Specification listed on the web site was also wrong - though they claim no liability for the accuracy of anything they state on the website. Communication is non existant once they've got your money. I was told I'd need to let DVLA know about the change of keeper - never had to do that before in my entire life when buying a car as the seller has always done it and I thought that was the standard process (i.e. seller notifies DVLA and you just get given the new keeper slip until the new V5C arrives in the post). Basically with SW Car Supermarket you will get the absolute most basic level of service you could expect. As for handover - delivery driver unloaded the car and that was it - hardly a word. Maybe if you give them lots of extra money for things like extended warranties you'll get better service. You already have to pay the admin fee and that was enough for me. Basically add £200 to the price of every car you see on the web site - worth remembering if doing price comparison with other supermarkets who don't charge an admin fee. Talking of warranties - worth pointing out that the 3 month warranty you get is limited to a £500 claim so if anything more expensive goes wrong within your 3 months your out of luck. Overall a very disappointing experience and certainly not on the same level as other car supermarkets I've used before.

Go elsewhere…
Don’t be fooled by the nice looking warehouse with a big range of cars on show.
I saw the car I liked online, and went the next day to visit. Upon visit some work was required - ie a good clean inside (there was dog hairs, dust, marks, etc), a good valet could sort that out. It also required a bit of scratch repairs and AC to be fixed. I left a £500 deposit (not sure why it was not 200?), and they assured me all the work would be done, and a fresh MOT etc.
I was due to collect it 3 weeks later (as I couldn’t go earlier due to work), after travelling a few hours down to collect the car (and part ex mine), I was told the MOT was yet to be done and if I could come back in an hour (or they’d call me). I never received a call after 2 hours so I called them. Eventually after 3 hours I went back (they had called), and was told that an engine light had come on and some filter needed changing. They did that. So before payment I wanted to see the car. It was a state! It was still filthy inside (clearly no valet was done despite what their paperwork said), the scratches remained. Basically nothing was done. I complained. They agreed with my comments (a manager there saw to it all and agreed). They decided to compensate by delivering the car to me the following week (post the work being done).
The following week came and they delivered the car on the specified day (sent me a video in the morning which didn’t show anything). The driver arrived with the car and lo and behold… nothing was done! AC still not working, inside still filthy- dog hairs, marks etc all there! And worse thing is,.. the engine light appeared.. I think they just ‘cleared the sign’ but the journey made it pop up again. Of course I was not willing to accept this, so told the driver to take the car back and get the work sorted. The situation became very stressful as I spoke with so many different people, going through the same old story again. In the end I requested my £500 deposit back. Again I had to chase a good few times to get that back. I did eventually get it back. However I did email management again, as I felt it was shocking that no management called me back when they said they would (I had called around 20 times according to my phone logs), no management bothered to offer compensation for my waste of time and cost driving down to collect the car. Overall it was a horrendous experience. Thankfully other used car places in Peterborough were brilliant that I got the car I wanted elsewhere (a blessing in disguise!).
I’m hoping I don’t get a response to say to contact management as that’s already been done (and as per all my other messages - it’s been ignored). Personally I wouldn’t go through the stress of this place. It’s not worth it. I read all the glowing reviews which led me to this place, but goodness knows what those were about. I’m hoping this review paints an honest picture and helps someone from making a mistake.
Used car dilemma
They were freindly and relaxed on the day when they just a pain with having to give a deposit just to arrange a test drive. Car itself was very good, had a bit of minor kerbing daage on the rims, easily repaired and they did offer to do a couple for free and i guess a main dealer would tidy up first and put the corresponding mark up on it. Price was very good, nice to have an unnacompanied test drive where you can concentrate on the experience of the car i guess i was just not convinced that particular car was right for me, otherwise would have snapped it up. I gave a 200 deposit because i was driving a long way to see it. 1 very quick call to arrange this and take the money straight out of my account, took 4 calls to get them to confirm they would give the 200 back and now have to wait 3 days to see it back in my account though. still waiting for my deposit back, - 5 days now. So that process needs improving.

CORAL is a STAR!
I didn’t have the greatest of experiences at the Werrington branch...
However, the Padholme road branch exhumes customer service and within this bunch there is only one that stands out... CORAL!
If you don’t want the cheesy salesman one liners then Coral is your girl. From the moment I met Coral she immediately put me at ease and the whole process was simplified by her own interventions and professional attitude.
Coral even went the extra mile with decorating the car in birthday balloons and banners (as it was my birthday) these personal touches that Coral made was overwhelming and I was deeply touched.
Coral is a fantastic ambassador and her skills should be utilised across the business.
Handover was completed by Andy... such a gent! Went through all the paperwork and addressed all my concerns and queries. Thank you Andy for all your help!

Very RUDE sales guys
Very RUDE sales guys. Liked a car online and left details on chat to called by sales person. Received call with hour and I have asked that I am interested to see car. The sales person told me that there are 10 people interested (typical sales pitch) and if you dont want to loose pay £200 to reserve. i told that I would like to see car first before paying anything. The guy instantly changed tone and said thanks for your time and hung up. This is how you sell cars??? VERY RUDE. Never ever refer anybody to contact them.

Coral was amazing 5***
Really impressed with the service at SW. from start to finish coral helped through the process of the sale of the car she was professional and friendly and I wouldn’t use anybody else now. After the sale I had a small problem I took the car in and once again coral helped along side the whole service department. Even the mechanics came to greet me and explain the problem which they rectified. The atmosphere is friendly buzzing and personable. Would highly recommend. My advise If your looking for a new car please request coral 100% made the process excellent. Thanks again. 5***

I had a great experience with SW supermarket. I liked their non-pushy sales style and a realistic price for vehicles. On pick up day they were running late but I was directed to a lounge for free tea / coffee. When I asked how long the wait was going to be the staff kindly explained the reason for the delay then I was seen to immediately. Overall, a very pleasant experience with my first car buying. Would recommend.

Went to sw today, saw a car we liked and salesman called Kevin helped us with no pressure sales techniques . Got the car out for us to road test, very pleased with the experience. Paid a deposit and picking up in a couple of weeks.

Stay well away from them!!!
Stay away if you don't want to waste your time and money! Test drive, June 2020 was mostly fine, although should have heeded warning signs when salesman faked keyless entry using the fob he was holding!! But all seemed fine when placing deposit. Agreed alloys wheels needed refurb and paid for car to be fully serviced. Had car AA inspected and all came back fine. Went to collect car at agreed date and time only to be informed on arrival that the car wasn't ready and due to a coolant leak was being repaired at a specialist garage, July 5th 2020. I had travelled over 100 miles to collect. Suffice to say I was not happy. Discussed with the customer service manager, Saleem, whom you should be aware of. Believe nothing he says or puts in writing as have nothing from his promises to date. Refunds promised, services and paperwork requested, an honest answer do not expect any of these. Only non-sensical emails denying fault even though vehicle under warranty. Car delivered on 21st July unexpectedly, not satisfactorily and not as agreed, with images of car before leaving garage and all paperwork as agreed. Puncture repair fluid out of date not replaced as agreed, alloy wheel refurb not satisfactorily carried out. Car engine bay started loud squealing noise after 3 weeks, reported to dealer but no response and no sense of responsibility with warranty. Took it to franchised dealer, who found the induction hose had not been put back properly, an oil leak was present and a missing under tray. Had to have oil leak investigated and all issues fixed with replacement under tray, costing over 3K. All of this was relayed to dealer at time of invoicing and paying for repairs. Dealer offered to pay for induction hose fix, still not received to date. Have been trying to resolve in a professional manner but SW Car Supermarket have been unresponsive, using delaying tactics and now complete silence since Jan 2021. Will be using legal means of re-dress after issuing warning letters and still no response and no taking responsibility sale of faulty goods and not as described or advertised, and no evidence of paid for full service being carried out as requested. If I could give them no stars I would!!
Really friendly service today
Really friendly service today! Great explanation of the car and features, no hassle with taking it out for a test drive and all of my concerns addressed. I didn’t feel pressured with lots of add-ons etc. Very happy with my purchase!

Volvo V40 purchase and repairs
I purchased my V40 in September of last year and at the time both the SW team and myself agreed it needed to have the bonnet repaired plus both the windshield and battery replaced.
Needless to say the 2nd national lock down delayed any repair plans until late April.
In the end all the repairs were honoured and done to a high standard.
A special thanks to Antony Moss, the Senior Service Advisor, who made it all possible and for also adding a courtesy car to the whole process which was immensely appreciated.
Thank you to all the SW staff to made this whole process a success.
