I am beyond disappointed with this…

I am beyond disappointed with this purchase from Target.

I bought a sofa and chair that arrived compressed in a sealed plastic bag and was supposed to expand and take shape. Instead, what came out looks absolutely terrible. Misshapen, cheap, and nowhere close to what was advertised. It never fully expanded and looks like a defective product.

I contacted Target customer service and even they acknowledged that it could be faulty. Despite that, they still expect the customer to physically bring a full size couch back to the store. That is completely unrealistic. There is no pickup option offered, no real solution, and no accountability for what is clearly a defective item.

This is unacceptable customer service. Selling large furniture that arrives defective and then putting the burden entirely on the customer to transport it back is absurd.

Do yourself a favor and do not buy these sofas or chairs from Target. Terrible product quality and even worse customer service. I will absolutely think twice before purchasing furniture from here again.

Love Target

The sizing is so accurate and the material is so comfortable, shipping doesn't take that long and in store employees are very nice.

The customer service agents are so…

The customer service agents are so dismissive of your concerns. Multiple times now my packages are delivered to the wrong address and I have to continue going back and forth with them until they finally resolve my issue. The proof of delivery photos prove the package was not delivered to the correct address and then they want to find other excuses about it. Probably one of the worst customer services I have experienced.

CUSTOMER DISSERVICE

When you make the effort to support a local brick-and-mortar store--like Target--instead of defaulting to Amazon, you're sometimes reminded exactly why so many people don't bother anymore. Today was one of those reminders. I won't be making that mistake again.

I attempted to purchase an expensive vacuum cleaner at my local Target. The problem? It was wrapped in a security cord and locked away, requiring employee assistance. Simple enough--except there was no one around to help.

I walked toward customer service, found an employee along the way, and explained that I wanted to buy a vacuum. He told me to wait in that section and said he would send someone to assist me. That never happened.

After standing around for quite some time, I noticed a digital kiosk nearby with an icon labeled "CALL"--except there was no way to actually call anyone. At this point, nearly 30 minutes of my time had been wasted, yet I was still intent on leaving with a $400 vacuum. It's important to mention that in that time, I did not visibly see an employee.

I returned to the front of the store and saw the same employee who had promised to send help. When I approached him, he appeared to have no memory of me or my request. I asked about the vacuum. He then told me--with attitude--to follow him so he could retrieve it, as though he were doing me a favor by allowing me to make the purchase.

When I calmly questioned the attitude, he asked, "Do you want the vacuum?" I responded, again calmly, "Not with that attitude!." He immediately raised his hands, said "OK," and turned away.

NICE!

An excellent way to treat someone who made the effort to come into your store to support your business.

Never. Ever. Again.

And I'm sure I am not the ONLY one who feels this way.

Delivery Issue

My item was scheduled to be delivered on 01/08/2026 and is delayed and nowscheduled for delivery on 01/09/26 thru UPS. I called Target to follow up only to be told that it is a 3rd Party sale and nothing can be done and I have to wait for my item or speak to UPS about the shipment delay.
This item is going to someone who has paid for a service for 01/08/26 and will now have to pay again for service for 01/09/26.
The Target associates very nonchalantly apologized and said that's all of Target can do and that there is no further escalation.

UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

bought an expensive appliance from this Target in Bellingham last week, and they did not offer (and I forgot to buy the extended warranty at the time of purchase). I looked on Target website and could not find the phone number for the insurance company (Allstate Insurance). Therefore, I called Target in Bellingham today trying to get the phone number.

first, I called the target appliance department. the phone rang and rang until it got disconnected. I called again, and same thing, rang until disconnected.

second, I called target back and select the customer service desk. It rang for a long time, and finally a lady picked up the phone. I explained that I would like to add extended warranty for my purchase since I bought it about 10 days ago. she at first said I can't do that, and I must return the item (since it is less than 30 days) and buy it again & add insurance. I then asked her for the phone number for Allstate insurance and I can call them directly. she told me to look it up on target website. HOWEVER, before I was able to tell her that I did but no phone number listed, she said "have a good day" and then she left. she did not disconnect me because I could hear her and someone in the background talking and laughing. I kept saying "hello ! hello!" but no answer. after a couple minutes of no response from her (background noise still going on ), I had no choice but hung up.

third: I called back right away to same department. same thing, rang a long time before a lady picked up the phone. I think it is the same lady that had answered my call before. I explained my issue and asked her for her name. she then said " hello, hello.... I think it is a bad connection......." and then same thing happened. no more response from her despite I can hear the background noise clearly.

fourth: I called back again at same department. again, rang awhile before a lady answered. not sure if the same woman, but I right away asked to speak a manager. she put me on hold and got her manager Lindsay (so they claimed).

I explained to Lindsay my frustration, and the reason for my call. for the first time, at least Lindsay did not rush me off and did not put me in the "black hole" again.

a) Lindsay did not apologize nor mention anything about her staff's handling of the my calls.

b) Lindsay said her staff is correct that I must return the appliance, and purchase it again with insurance. I said it does not make sense because :
1) all I need is the phone number for Allstate insurance:
2) it is a big inconvenience for me to pack everything in the
box and bring it back to target to return
3) if I return it, they will have an "open-box " item, and they
(target and the manufacturer ) will loose money as they
will have to resell it as an "opened item".

Lindsay said no, because I have to re-purchase the same unit. !!! I said if I go thru all the hassles to return the unit, I WILL NOT RE-PURCHASE IT AND I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE !

she said it's my choice, but she will try to get me the phone number. After a very brief hold, she came back and said there is no phone at all on the insurance pamphlet, no phone number for sales, customer service nor claims. I advised I will escalate this experience to target corp. , as this is UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I would give Target a negative number…

I would give Target a negative number for online buying if that was an option. Target Corp. uses third party vendors like the rathole Joker Kids out of New Jersey and the Jokers ship UPS. The Jokesters dont answer the phone or respond to emails. So if UPS loses your package, UPS has to get documentation from these shysters who won't provide it (and even if they do, UPS will only issue payment to the Jokers). So you are just out the money. Once Target gets your money, they are done with you and you are on your own. I will NEVER order online from Target or the sleezy outfit Joker Kids again, and I'll never order anything if I know it's being shipped via UPS. These Jokers are vendors through Amazon too, so buyer beware!
Just an update, after I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau Target gave me a refund. However, they acted like they were doing me a big favor by making this one-time exception and encouraged me to review their policies. I responded that I also had made a one-time exception by buying from them online. I also told them it was the first time I'd had a business try to convince me they were doing me a favor by refunding my money for a purchase I had never received.

I use to go to Target all the time

I use to go to Target all the time. I had a interview over a month as a team lead . After the interview the assistant manager told me that he wil be in contact with me. A month later no response. So I figure after a week I did not get the job. I reached out to the recruiter and knew I did not get the job sent an email. I was told by the recruiter that they went with someone else with more experience and they do not have a job for me. lol

Sent a broken item, never sent replacement, refused refund

Absolutely horrible experience with Target. I ordered an air fryer on Dec 2nd. It was delivered on Dec 8th, broken. I started a replacement order, shipped it back via UPS on Dec 9th (I had to pay to ship it back), and it was delivered to Target on Dec 15th (I have proof of delivery via UPS). I contacted them on Dec 18th as I had not gotten an update about the return and they said to "give it ten business days." I contacted them again on Dec 31st--two different times, since the first guy said he couldn't help me--and asked them to cancel my replacement and issue a refund instead. I got an email on Jan 4th saying they were "unable to verify the contents of the package" and are "unable to issue any refunds for this order." I called customer service again who told me they had no proof that I shipped back the right item and had canceled the return on my account and therefore no one at Target could send me a refund of any kind. He told me my only option is to dispute the charge with my bank. Absolute waste of my time and money, and absolutely terrible customer service all FOUR times I contacted them. I will never order from Target again.

I went to buy a Lego set and it was in the total wrong spot so I thought I was buying a $40 Lego set when it was really $60! Maybe get your prices right. It’s misleading and rude.

I ordered a picture frame and because I…

I ordered a picture frame and because I was in a rush I THOUGHT that it would be quicker but I sat in the curbside pickup or whatever it’s called here for THIRTY FIVE MINUTES and had to call target because it was taking so long. I am not lazy I was in a rush . But the only people that use this service are lazy and useless I watched somebody wait thirty minutes next to me that ordered an air fryer and once it got out to there car they just walked out and grabbed it from the employee because SHOCKER they were completely able to go get it themselves

Ships on time and good customer service

Products always arrive in a timely manner, and easy to return to store and not have to ship online orders back. Sometimes products have arrived damaged but customer service takes care of it. When a product was missing from the order, they refunded me. I have been able to communicate quickly with customer service over their app, over the phone, and through email.
