Did not receive my MacBook 13” Air case

I’ve ordered a MacBook 13” Air case from this manufacturer cause Apple recommended it on their website. I have ordered(order number EU29519) it during the “Black Friday” on the 24th of November. Then I’ve got a message that the item was shipped, but unfortunately without a tracking number… since then nothing else happened. The status of my package did not change and the postal service could not advise me further cause there was no tracking option. Very “smart of you”, tech21.
After writhing the support 2 times with several days of waiting I only got one message, where they ask if I did get my order after all, I have said that I did not and… they just did not say anything in response. After waiting another day I’ve written that I want a refund. No excuse from their side, just a dry “you will get it in 3-5 business days”… I hope I will get that at least my money back.
All this time I had to use my new MacBook without proper case.

Sending the 40+€ paid item without a tracking number - very responsible job… if they even send it and not just registered the shipment and never did it indeed

To summarise it all: Just stay away. It’s not a service, it’s the 100% off it. Never again.

Very disappointing customer service

I’ve been using Tech21 case for years and they’re brilliant. I’m a serial phone dropper and my phone has never been damaged in a Tech21 case. Because I’ve been so pleased with them, I decided to give the screen protector a go. It comes with what seems to be a very well designed applicator device which I thought would provide a perfectly applied screen protector. Unfortunately, despite following the instructions *to the letter* some pretty significant bubbles were visible underneath, one over the front camera lens. Even on offer this screen protector cost £27 so that was really disappointing. I emailed them to ask if there was a way to get the bubbles out - I didn’t ask for a replacement, merely advice - and waited a full week for a reply, which was quite clearly a cut-and-paste generic job designed to fit every possible circumstance and which implied that user error was to blame. Very disappointing after such positive experiences previously. It’s shoddy customer service like this that makes people reconsider their loyalty.

Poor customer service, no response to my email

Firstly to be fair, I have ordered cases over the years for my iPhone 15 and now my 17, and both arrived within a few days and are great quality. However, I emailed customer service a week ago, and still haven't received a response.

The auto email say they will respond with 48hrs or slightly longer during busy times. In this day an age, rather than sales be the forefront, it needs to go hand in hand with great customer service as well.

Whoever reads this in the business need to think about investing in more staffing and probably start thinking about upgrading your business tools. There should be a number for customers to call and speak to agents, online should include online chats, and other methods where we as customers can get hold of someone! It's really annoying when companies make it difficult for customers to reach them, always a red flag that one. No need take the time to reply here, pls just reply to my ticket 203421, thx

Worst Customer Service NOT Handling Purchase from Authorized Retailer Amazon

DON'T buy from even Authrozied Retailer. I bought an iPhone 17 Pro case from Amazon the authroized retailer, sold by "Amazon Export Sales LLC". The product came damaged, I followed Amazon's Instruction to FIRST CONTACT the Tech21 customer service for replacement (because Amazon page only offers the "return" somehow but not "replace"). I got an email reply after 4 DAYS, just to said the below:

"Hello, 
We are sorry to hear about your inconvenience, 

Unfortunately we do not handle purchases from other companies. So hopefully the store of purchase "Amazon" can assist you further. 

best, "

- Not even knowing who served you, no attention no name no basic politeness! And what is even worse, they do NOT handle purchase from their Authorized Retailer!

I have been a fan for Tech21 since my iphone X. Never been into such problem. My last iPhone16 Pro which was bought from Amazon official retailer was actually covered with legit warranty. No idea how the team works not. So disappointed!

Ordered cover for pro max device

Ordered cover for pro max device, received wrong cover 1 week ago. Contacted customer service the same day I received it via email and I am still no further forward 1 week on. Do not rate this company and will not be ordering from them again. Meantime my phone is at risk of damage despite me parting with £35 for a cover.

Poor customer service and product

Not a company I will use again due to poor customer service and poor product.

I have previously bought two phone covers from this company and happy with the service/product.

Disappointed with the third cover which was for an iPhone 16. The cover did not fit the phone very well. I returned the item with all my details for a refund. It took 6 weeks to get my money back- less delivery costs. It was necessary to send an email to remind them to send the refund.

I have since bought a phone cover from eBay at a quarter of the price and a better product.

Beware - New Tech 21 fitting kit does not work

I have been using Tech 21 Screen protectors for many years over 4 different phones and used to find their fitting kits high quality and easy to use for a perfect application.
This is no longer the case and I urge you to think carefully before spending £34.99 on the NEW FlexGlass ultra apple screen protector.
Tech 21 have done away with the guide rails they used to supply and replaced it with a folding cardboard hinge design which is fiddly and very inaccurate to use. Despite several practice or dry runs when I used the kit the screen protector dropped on the phone out of alignment and is very crooked leaving an edge of the screen exposed. I can't see any way of guaranteeing a straight application with the cardboard kit and Im sure other users are going to experience the same problems trying to use theirs.
As a customer of nearly 10 years I wrote to Tech 21 support to hi light the problems with the new case and ask for some support or a replacement. After a 2 week wait I got and very neutral response from them that did not acknowledge the problem (Cardboard hinge) I was hi lighting to them and refused to offer me any sort of replacement or resolution. That's not the sort of response I would have expected from a company that trades on its reputation for supplying quality, high priced items. If you pay top dollar you would normally expect and more engaging response to customer feedback that hi lights a design fault in one of their new products.
So in summary as a formerly loyal customer of 10 years I have lost faith in the company as they have let me down in two ways.
1 - The new floppy cardboard hinge on the fitting kit makes a precise fit very unlikely. You will end up with a crooked screen protector.
2 - When I hi lighted the issues / challenges of the new design to them by email they appear to have taken no notice and not acknowledged any of the points I raised, nor did they offer me any type of advice or solutions. This is not very customer focussed and shows a lack of ability to respond to genuine feedback. To show their lack of response or even understanding of the points I raised I have copied their generic response below.

Buyer beware

Hi Chris,
We are sorry to hear your screen protector is damaged.

Unfortunately, Tech21 will not issue replacements for installation errors or improper use of the Impact Shield such as misalignment, peeling in the corners, air bubbles, self-inflicted damage to the screen shield and exposure to extremes of heat or cold which could damage the screen protector.

The Screen shields are not covered by our warranty as they are intended for a one time use/application. Any damaged caused to your screen shield means the shield has done it job in protecting your device.

Worst customer service of any company…

Worst customer service of any company I’ve ever dealt with. They do not respond to any communication whatsoever so ever. I ordered two cases for our iPhone 17’s. I realized I had ordered the wrong cases. So I jumped thru the hoops to return then and ordered 2 new ones. It’s been over a month since I returned the cases and I still don’t have a refund. Great cases but the worst customer service on the planet.
