I have aged parents that live in Australia and they only just know how to use the phone as a phone never mind apps like Whatsapp. So being able to actually call their phone at such a cheap rate is brilliant.
Also I've just ported my old company phone number to my new tesco sim so emailed the helpdesk about the implications. They explained I was to remove the old account and create a new one in the app and then they'd transfer my credit from old to new. It went like a breeze and they were so quick. Five stars to Sanna for being so timely and helpful.

Tried to use app in Dominican Republic as previously had no issues Unable to contact my elderly blind father , messages to and fro asking me if I have VPN number ? Asking where am I ? After 10 days finally managed to use ! When got home spoke to a guy , who was bit sharp yes apologies sent ! Stated maybe a glitch in the system!!! Wouldn’t trust it again !!

I initially had no issues with the Tesco International Calling app — it worked well enough and I even topped up with credit. However, the app suddenly stopped allowing me to make calls. Customer service first suggested I try using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi, which made no difference. After that, they seemed to have no idea what to do and stopped responding altogether.
I’ve asked for a refund since the app is no longer usable for me, but I’ve been completely ignored. It’s incredibly frustrating — when the app works, it’s fine, but as soon as something goes wrong, there’s no real support and no accountability. I feel let down and would not recommend this service.
I have now received a response from Tesco. I did allow enough time for them to respond. I have since found another app that works with no issues.

I was unaware that credits expire if not topped up every 6 months. Thank fully Sanna R was able to sort me out very quickly and explain everything to me so I can keep it organised so always able to ring my big sis in Canada 🇨🇦 to make sure she is well. Thank you Sanna

It was a bit tricky to use because when I called and dial my pin it said the account was no longer active. However, I called their customer service and the very kind lady help me as it looks the person in the Tesco Express didn’t top up my card correctly. The customer service lady was very helpful and resourceful, after this I was able to use it without an issue. Remember to keep your voucher receipt. I would recommend it, not sure why the terrible reviews.

I hadn't realised that you if you don't top up your account every 6 months that you lose the credit. I called the customer service number spoke to Sanna who was courteous and efficiently resolved the issue right away.

I was having difficulty adding money to my account but Katherine very kindly talked me through the whole operation step by step telling me exactly what I would see on each page and explained it was only at the end that I would finally be asked how much I wanted to add.I had tried before but had been very confused by the fact that I had not been asked for the amount.She also informed me how to do it by phone.Thanks to her I managed to top up my phone easily.
It would be a good idea to indicate at the beginning of the top up process that the amount will only be added after the bank acceptance.It's very confusing to see that you accept to pay £0.00 as a top up if you don't know that you're then redirected to the Tesco app.to fix the amount.
