Tesla autopilot tried killing me 3 tiimes.

I’ve got a lease for a new Tesla Y.
1. The autopilot feature literally tried to kill me 3 times by trying to pass another car while having incoming traffic twice, by trying to turn left into incoming lane with traffic and by trying to cross intersection on a red light.
2. The car stranded me 4 hours away from home by suddenly logging me off the app and not allowing to log back on or change password. Customer support was unable to help and was rude and unprofessional. The best they came up with was: call a tow truck.
I’m happy that at least it is a lease so in two years I’ll get rid of that nonsense and will never look back.

The customer service has killed me on the brand

The customer service has killed me on the brand. You have an issue you phone up and wait 45 minutes to be fobbed off with stuff like 'I'll send a note to the finance team' who of course do absolutely nothing. The in-app chat seems to be staffed by interns who have absolutely no power to do anything and just keep asking the same inane questions you've answered 100 times before.

Love the car. Wouldn't have another one.

Buying pre owned certified Tesla, mistake

Bought a 2021 Model 3 Long Range direct from Tesla thinking that the car would be in top condition considering the car comes with a 12 month warranty.
I really don't think Tesla checked the car thoroughly before putting it up for sale.
The first giveaway was that the screenwash level was low, and that there was water instead of coolant. On the way home from Tesla, Birmingham a creaking sound appeared which I was unable to pinpoint. When we arrived home my wife had to use the manual release to open the door.
I booked the car into Tesla Chelmsford to have these issues rectified. As they said they wanted the car overnight, I asked for a loan car, only to be told no.
I rearranged the appointment so I could get the car back on the same day. They resolved the creaking sound. It was a suspension arm issue. They did not have the part for the door release mechanism, and I was also told that the charge port needed to be changed. Another visit required. All in all a very bad experience for what is supposed to be a certified approved used car. Their words, not mine.
I am very tempted to hand the car back.

Various issues avoid

1, I have had my car since new which was 2021 and its a great car. Recently i am having issues with the car and have had to book the car in but the day before no loan car so it had to be cancelled. I have now booked this in for 20 days time so will have to put up with the current issue.
2, I have had a vibration for a while and thought the wheels needed balancing, i have done this twice plus the tracking only to be told ALL the wheels are buckled! i have had nothing but issues with the Pirelli tyres now all my wheels need replacing. Neither the tyres or the wheels are fit for purpose.
3, I need to set my charger up but seem to find it impossible to update the software and despite messaging i cannot speak to a human being.

This whole experience is making me to just sell the car and move on

Bloody Brilliant!!!

I was shocked to see Tesla with only 1.7 rating. This is just dummies hating Tesla for right wing political reasons and nothing to do with the cars.
Why is the best selling car the Model Y and why do Tesla have the highest safety ratings and also make the smartest cars on the planet? (Not to mention the charging network, always 100%)
Because they're bloody brilliant!
My Model 3 is utterly fantastic! Outstanding build quality and all the service I have is equal or better than Ford, VW or Mercedes (I know, 1st hand experience)

Discriminated by Tesla

Title: Discriminatory Financing Practices by Tesla - Taxi Drivers Not Welcome

I'm writing to warn others about the discriminatory financing practices I experienced with Tesla. On February 6th, I inquired about purchasing a Tesla vehicle and was initially told I could trade in my old vehicle and finance the rest.

*The Issue:*
However, when I disclosed that I'm a taxi driver, I was suddenly told I wouldn't qualify for financing. No clear explanation was given, and it was implied that my profession made me ineligible.

*Discriminatory Treatment:*
I find this unacceptable and discriminatory. Being a taxi driver is a legitimate profession, and I believe Tesla's financing policies are unfairly targeting people in my industry.

*A Warning to Others:*
If you're a taxi driver or self-employed, be aware that Tesla may deny you financing based on your profession. I'm disappointed in their lack of transparency and fairness.

*Desired Outcome:*
I want Tesla to review and revise their financing policies to ensure they're fair and non-discriminatory.

Tesla UK sales really sucks

Tesla UK sales really sucks. They have no concept of customer service. Emails go unanswered, nobody monitors the message function in the 'app'. If you have any questions, there is nobody available to answer them. They do their very best to ignore customers. Calling their help line is pointless, hanging on for 30 minutes and still nobody available to speak to.

Tesla Milton Keynes

Tesla Rip Off

24/04/2025 booked in my Tesla Model S in for All four Tyres replacement as the fronts were on low limit, the rears were low but the outer side were completely bald while the inner/middle looked low but still legal.
Tyres x4 + Alignment
Charged £1755.79
Technician: TOLU

03/11/2025 booked in after 15k miles the rear tyres completely bald, no tread at all on the outer side, while inner/middle had tread.
Booked in Tesla MK for change of rear tyres and alignment also to check for faults on why the rear tyres are wearing out on the outer side.
Got told “everything is spot on”
Tyres x2 + Alignment
Charged £1130.06
Technician: LEON

06/11/2025 few days later I noticed the small amount of wear a dark patch on the outer side of rear tyres. Contacted Tesla provided photos got told they don’t look to be wearing but bring it in to us.
07/11/2025 took the model S in to Tesla and the Technicians looked at the car and also checked the Alignment and got told everything looks perfect.
CHARLOTTE

7k miles later my rear tyres completely bald on the outer side.

12/02/2026 booked the Tesla in Again and insisted that there is a problem on the rear tyres or alignment and to look for any faults.
Turns out there was a problem all along Rear Toe Links.
Tyres x2 + Alignment + Rear Toe Links
Charged £1733.78
Technician: JOSH

Collected my Model S at the end of the day got home 50miles from MK Service Centre and noticed a alignment print out (which I never knew you could get and never received a printouts on previous alignments) noticed front drivers side wheel in the RED for camber on the printout.

Not knowing what it all means I questioned this on the Tesla app to the technician who completed the work.
I was told due to after market camber they were unable to get it perfect, so expect a small wear on front inner side. I never had much wear on front tyres and haven’t had a problem with front tyres it’s always been the rears.
Now the rear tyres have been resolved after being conned out of thousands now I’m about to get conned out of front tyres and camber arms.

Next day I took it to 2x different alignment workshops only to show them the printout and was told different from what Tesla MK told me.
I also pointed out about the tyres and how many times I had got them changed from Tesla and all the alignments and i never got print outs on previous alignments.
Both workshops questioned this on why the issue was not picked up on the first Alignment or even on the second Alignment and without printouts.
Obviously there was an issue and a main dealer to neglect customers concerns and the cost is just ridiculous.

After saying all this to the Technician on the app chat I was offered a “FREE ALIGNMENT when I get the 3rd party front cambers changed to Tesla part”.
My response I have lost trust in you after spending £4619.63 and now you want me to dig deeper in to my pockets.
Message from Technician I’ve passed all the chat messages to the management.

Total spend £4619.63 awaiting for management’s response and also trying to find loose change from back of my sofa to get scammed again from a company that I thought were great and trustworthy.

UPDATE: 16/02/2025 Manager (Simon) made contact on the app message: blaming the FRONT 3rd party camber arms, but refuse to acknowledge the 2x previous times I had my REAR Tyres + Alignment done why the fault on the Rear Toe links were not picked up. His response you can contact customer services.

$21,500 for multiple repair issues in 4 year old car

$21,500 spent across multiple repairs in car < 4 years old. These include climate system replacement, rear suspension on both sides, front suspension on both sides (one side is twice), wiper assembly, and trunk hinge.

Immediately upon repair of climate change system a new noise and severe vibration is occurring intermittently and frequently in the climate system compressor. Tesla claims it's me. Trying to charge another $1300 to replace another part even though it's not confirmed to be the problem. I'm still waiting for them to repair at their cost for 5 months. But now there's a new problem. No air conditioning 5 months after spending $4500 on a new climate compressor and manifold and related parts. I can't get out of this one fast enough. Stay away. The car is poorly constructed, unreliable, and costly to repair. And the service agents and service techs are not knowledgeable nor helpful.

**Tesla Service Review**

**Tesla Service Review**

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Tesla service center, heathrow west drayton branch and I must say, the experience was outstanding thanks to the exceptional service provided by Isha and Sam at the reception. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist with my inquiry.

Isha and Sam were absolutely first-class in their approach. They took the time to understand my needs and promptly handled my request for replacement parts. Their professionalism and attention to detail made the entire process smooth and efficient.

It’s not just about getting the job done; it’s about the way you feel when you’re there, and these two went above and beyond to ensure I felt valued as a customer. Their positive attitudes and willingness to help truly set the tone for a fantastic service experience.

I can’t recommend the Tesla service team highly enough, especially Isha and Sam. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful situation into a pleasant one! Keep up the great work!

Tried and succeeded in losing our sale

I’ve never in my life had a company try so hard to lose a car sale.
The current trade in offer meant we were going to get an ex demo (but new) Tesla, and we got a valuation for ours from them 6 weeks ago of nearly 16k for our 4.5 year old Tesla.
They came back after accidentally sending an offer for 15.3k and quickly cancelling it with 13.9k because our tyres weren’t Michelin despite being good tyres. Apparently they HAVE to have Michelin tyres to be accepted as trade in???!!!, despite the fact they’ll probably replace them anyway! They even asked if we had the old ones?!!!
Apparently not having Michelin tyres costs them 2k to replace. What a crock. They are trying to just not give you the full offer but thinking you’ll still be grateful that you end up with a balance of about 1500 as the “bonus”
We were given wrong information about the car we were going to buy meaning it was 2k more than we were told, nobody cared, we have had to chase every question for answers multiple times, they don’t care. We were happy to have 1k knocked off for the tires and the minor normal wear and tear but they still wanted another one out of what feels like spite!! So we cancelled the order. They just lost a cash buy because they don’t care about doing business.
Wondering if the cancellation team with then try and make it right, but they can’t. All the joy of buying a new car sucked out of it by ignorance, incompetence and apathy.
When they start losing jobs because sales are down, maybe they’ll value customer a bit more. But it will be too late.

You get a car, but you don't get support

The ownership experience hasn’t matched the promise. Having suspension issues and service visits on a fairly new car is not what you expect at this price.

Customer service is another weak spot. Getting through to the right department or getting clear answers is frustrating and meaningless. The worst support experience I ever had

Technical service is probably the worst…

Technical service is probably the worst I have ever experienced. After reporting an issue with home charging unit there has been absolutely no response from the "engeering team", either by phone or email. It has now been 3 weeks, and not even an acknowledgement that my problem was being looked into. Surely after sales service for such a "FANTASTIC" (Ha. Ha!) product should be a priority. NOT HAPPY.

Trying to order a Tesla through…

Trying to order a Tesla through business finance has been an absolute joke.

I was sent a finance link that doesn’t work. Tesla won’t respond, and the finance company refuse to help, saying it has to come from Tesla. So I’m stuck in a loop caused entirely by Tesla’s incompetence.

I’ve contacted Keaton, Louis, Anna, Callum, Josh, and even customer services. No meaningful response, no updates, no support , just silence.

Based on this experience, my reasonable conclusion is Tesla have hired people who don’t care, aren’t trained, or are simply incapable. If this is the service before they’ve even taken my money, I dread to think what it’s like after delivery.

If you’re thinking of buying a Tesla, do yourself a favour. At the time of writing, 2051 out of 2774 Trustpilot reviews are 1 star. That alone tells you something is seriously wrong. Go and buy another car instead.

Now let’s see if Tesla respond as a result of this review like any decent organisation would.

I am sharing my experience to warn…

I am sharing my experience to warn other potential Tesla owners about the poor repair quality and unprofessional service I recently received.

My Tesla broke down on 22 January. I contacted Tesla via the Tesla App, and on 26 January, the AA transported my car to Tesla Manchester Service Centre. After inspection, Tesla repaired multiple issues and replaced several major components, including:
• HVAC, PTC Service Assembly
• PTC Heater Dual Zone
• 12V Battery Assembly

I collected my car on 29 January. However, on the way home, I immediately noticed two serious problems that never existed before the repair:
1. A sharp, high-pitched wind noise when driving above 30 mph
2. A strong unpleasant smell when the heater is switched on

I contacted Tesla Customer Service immediately. A mobile technician was sent to my home, but the experience was shocking.

The technician only knocked on my door (did not ring the doorbell), stayed for less than 8 minutes, and left—even though I was at home. When I confronted him, he claimed my doorbell was broken and said he had called me, suggesting I might have blocked his number. This is completely untrue. My doorbell works, and I have never blocked any calls.

Worse still, the technician attempted to diagnose both the wind noise and the heater smell without properly test-driving the vehicle or operating the heater. When I questioned this, he simply told me to pay extra to replace the cabin filter and blamed the wind noise on my front windscreen, which had previously been replaced by my insurance company.

To prove this was not the windscreen, I personally sealed all four edges of the windscreen with tape and drove the car with both front windows partially open. The sharp wind noise was still present, clearly showing the issue is unrelated to the glass. Despite this, the technician refused to investigate further and kept pushing additional paid repairs.

This is completely unacceptable. If wind noise and smell appear immediately after HVAC-related repairs, it is reasonable to expect Tesla to take responsibility and properly investigate the workmanship, rather than shifting blame and asking for more money.

I bought a used Tesla to “try it out,” with the intention of potentially buying another Tesla in the future. After this experience, my confidence in Tesla’s service professionalism and quality is completely gone. Paying money to replace parts is not the issue — the issue is poor diagnosis, poor attitude, and unresolved problems.

Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Tesla to anyone, and I strongly disagree with the idea that Tesla provides high-quality service.

Extremely poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service. I wanted to buy parts, but they didn’t even connect me to part/service department. Then they hung up on me. I thank God that I don’t own one. I’m just a mechanic who wanted to replace a client Tesla’s gearbox fluid and its external replaceable filter. But they refused to give price and availability.
