The Brot Box Reviews 

In celebration of baking and serving this wonderful bread once a week (as a family treat) for TWO YEARS, I’m writing a review. I started with their large box and then switched to ordering my own box of family favorites. I have not had any problems with ordering or receiving the bread timely. (Yea! FEDEX!) Quality is 100% consistent. I hope these lovely men plan to pass this business down to their children because their bread is now part of our family story.

This is the best bread we have found. It reminds us of our trips to Germany. We love that we can easily bake 1 roll or the whole bag!

Great quality bread. Fair price for gourmet rolls and bread. Wholesome food that is very tasty and healthy, and can normally only be found in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The bread from The Brot Box is excellent and similar to what is available in Germany or other parts of Europe. Everything I've ordered is delicious. I put them in the freezer and they last many months.

The best bread, pretzels and rolls. I have been buying all our bread from here for years now and never have I had any problems. I live in southeast NC where it gets quite hot in the summer and everything always arrives fine. We have baked bread for parties and always people want to know where we get the bread from. I 100% recommend Brotbox

Everything I've ordered from The BrotBox is delicious especially the brotchen and pumpkin seed rolls.

The shipping is quick and communication about it's arrival is spot on!

I started ordering from Brot Box over a year ago and absolutely loved their products. Our most recent order was in transit too long, arrived with 4 melted dry ice packets, and bread that was no longer safe for consumption. When I contact the company, I received prompt service, offering to refund or replace. I explained that I loved their products and really wanted a replacement. The replacement order arrived 4 days later, after yet another delay. This time there were only 2 dry ice packets, rather than 4, and, of course, they were melted. The contents of the box were warm to the touch and promptly discarded. Reaching out to the company resulted in a very different experience this time. I pointed out the discrepancy in the amount of dry ice and was told that each order is weighed and packed with the appropriate amount. (But, the weight of the order hadn't changed). I was also told that the contents are designed to remain fresh during transit. (Not sure what was being implied. I had been told to discard the first delayed delivery. Were they expecting me to use the second batch of spoiled goods?). I was finally told that nothing more could be done since I had already received a replacement shipment and they had already issued a reimbursement. According to the email signature, I had been conversing with the same person, but I rather doubt that. Curious approach...I would have expected a coupon for further purchases or more concern over losing a customer. As a German prof, I spread the word about my experiences with these companies. I guess I'll be taking my business back to Bread Village.

Received my first order super fast, baked the Broetchen the same evening and I was not disappointed.
Memories came back from my mother going to the German bakery at 6am for fresh Broetchen daily. The smell and the taste of the fresh Broetchen is simply amazing...

Totally overpriced, bad bread. Their website makes big promises, but most of the bread I got was moldy, for about $10 per loaf. The one loaf that wasn't moldy was bland and dry. Terrible customer service. I reached out to them for a refund, since I am not going to eat moldy bread, and they blamed me for the mold. Absurd. I am not the one who's responsible for slow shipping and lack of cooling packs. Don't waste your money here.
