I got robbed by Transavia gate agent in Prague:
I paid for hold luggage beforehand, when I bought the ticket, months ago. When at the gate in Prague airport, the Transavia gate agent refused to put my two pieces of luggage on hold. She could see online that my ticket included hold luggage, and I printed the receipt for the payment and presented it as well.
But the agent claimed that the hold luggage must be checked in. Which is wrong: the hold luggage CAN (not must!) be dropped off or checked in, if there is no drop off counter. It is NOT mandatory.
Then the gate agent robbed me: she charged me 140 euro for the two pieced of my luggage (in addition to my payment!) and put them on hold.
Customer service only available through Whatsapp
Just tried to book a flight for January and I have to Whatsapp (!) them to book a seat for my son. No number to call or nothing. They said to book the adult seats first, then contact them again to book on the child. Obviously they've taken ages to respond an now the price has gone up and they won't honour the price from when I contacted them (which is what my partner and I paid for our seats). Total scam and terrible customer service! I mean Whatsapp?! What kind of business doesn't have a phone line?! And to top it off, they won't allow a refund if I know wanted to cancel my the seats for my husband and myself. AVOID!

Shocking experience.
Received an email night before due to fly to say my flights tomorrow had been cancelled. No explanation as to why. Alternative flight was the next day which cut 2 day holiday to 1 day - no use. Had to cancel and for out £900 for flights with an alternative airline. Shocking.
Deceptive and rude
When you book a flight they show frequent flyer XPs that are not applying to your flight, and when you ask about it, customer service agents pretend they don't understand what you are saying, answer something not related to your request and just shut you up with a rudeness I have so far never seen.
Don't fall for it like I did.

When I pay for overhead luggage and a Seat in front of the cabin..literally sitting under a overhead locker and am told in a very unfriendly tone from one of the staff that I have to use a locker further down (behind my seat) without any reasoning - I don’t give more than two stars. Transavia hid baggage prices and blocked online purchase — unacceptable
I had a frustrating experience with Transavia’s baggage process. After online check‑in I couldn’t add hold luggage and was told to pay at the airport — but customer service couldn’t confirm the airport price, saying it’s “dynamic” and different from online. They only gave an excess‑weight rate (€15 per kg). Their system also blocked me from upgrading my fare.
This is unacceptable. Airlines must show clear prices when selling services.
I want Transavia to publish consistent baggage fees, fix the blocked online flow, and offer a fair resolution (allow online purchase at the advertised price or compensate if I’m charged more at the airport).

Transavia cancelled the flight without any explanation. There was no Transavia staff present at Dublin Airport, so I had to call customer service in France. The representative refused to book me on the first available flight to Paris and told me I would have to book it myself if I wanted to travel.
The alternative flight they provided was only for the following day, so I had no choice but to wait.
They later emailed me stating that I would be refunded within seven days, but that never happened.
I do not recommend this airline at all. Very unprofessional company.
Don't fly unless you are under 5'8" or have very short legs.
This airline is not even cheap and any flight more than 1.5 hours is a nightmare. Flying from Rotterdam is a great small airport but as soon as you get on the plane it is a terrible experience, largely due to the awful seats and very cramped legroom, even when you pay for extra legroom. This is crazy as Tranavia is a Dutch carrier and the Dutch are the tallest people in the world. I am 6'0 tall and I saw many people much taller than myself having a terrible time. The staff are friendly and efficient and that is why Transavia gets 2 stars instead of 1 star.

Transavia flight SKG-AMS. Boarding completed 3 minutes later than expected and the flight departure was delayed by 40 minutes. Arrival at the gate was finally 75 minutes later that the expected time. Waiting in the lace fur another 10 minutes . Arriving at the luggage belt and the luggage is delayed for another 35 minutes. I have payed 453 euros for my return flight on a Monday in September. The service is terrible.
Great Airline
Great Airline, they offered some Kind of refund which is better than their competitor RyanAir. They Are understanding and I got help changing my booking swiftly through their WhatsApp account. Here i got in contact with a polite and professional individual. I would like to recommend this airline to all my friends and fellow Europeans. This airline is transperant and easy to contact.
