Predatory Fees & Non-Existent Customer Service

Do not fly Transavia unless you want to be scammed. I flew from Amsterdam to London and was hit with an unjust and illogical €70 fee for a small 7kg carry-on bag at the gate.

The sheer unfairness is astounding: my ticket cost €123, and I had already paid €5 for a 25kg checked bag. Transavia charged me 14 times more for a 7kg carry-on than for a 25kg checked suitcase. This is not a service fee; it is a deliberate punishment.

When I raised a formal complaint, their response was dismissive, stating only that the charge was "in line with their policy." Just because a charge is hidden in a policy doesn't make it right or ethical. They have shown zero willingness to correct a glaring injustice or engage with the reality of their absurd pricing structure.

Warning to fellow travellers: Transavia's policies are designed to confuse and exploit. Be prepared to pay disproportionate, predatory fees.

They didn't allow us to board to plane

They didn't allow us to board to plane, plane was due 7:30, we arrived 6:41 in the boarding platform, they refused to board us and did not offer a replacement, left us searching for another flight, of course we have to pay it with our own money, I don't understand how is this even legal.
Avoid at all costs.

Terrible service and no responsibility

Denied boarding even though we arrived before gate closing time, staff laughed instead of helping, and our three suitcases never arrived.
Transavia has ignored all messages, not answering on the calls on the phone, no updates, no respect for people’s money or time.
Avoid this airline at any cost.

Steal money from me

They make me go to the front desk of the airport to check my bag they made me put it in the box to see if it fits. And it did, then they let me continue to my way.
But while passing ti get in the plane all of a sudden they want me to oay for the bag previously checked by same people!!!! I eas very annoyed cause the miscommunication made me feel like they just wanted money from someone and they saw my bag “apparently” bigger, which is not true as it fits the box size, and use it as an excuse to ripped off!
Im very disappointed with paris transavia. I traveled bcn-paris no issue, they let me in.. but then paris-bcn they were so mean and aggressive and at the end they took moneh from me as they were threatening me i cant enter to the flight if i was not paying

I would give zero stars if possible

I would give zero stars if possible. The concept of “service” does not seem familiar to this company or many of its employees, based on multiple experiences.

When trying to ask a question or resolve an issue, some staff members simply pretend not to speak English. On one flight, a crew member spoke to me in French; when I replied that I didn’t speak French, their colleague laughed. Although she later apologized, the behavior was unprofessional.

To be fair, not all staff are rude—some are polite and genuinely helpful—but overall, the general attitude suggests a lack of care or customer focus.

Worst flight ever.

Worst flight ever.
Oct 10 Paris Orly to Porto departure time 9h45, flight delayed for an hour. Oct 12 Porto to Paris flight T07613 delayed for almost an hour and there was no air condition before the plane departed 🥵🥵

Belachelijke slechte luchtvaartmaatschappij / Ridiculously bad airline

Transavia is echt een belachelijk slechte luchtvaartmaatschappij.
Wij waren voor 5 dagen op vakantie geweest in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en wij zouden van Rotterdam The Hague Airport naar Londen Stansted Airport vliegen en weer terug met Transavia.
Op de dag van vertrek krijgen wij het nieuws dat de vlucht is geannuleerd en dat de volgende vlucht over 5 dagen vertrekt wat de laatste dag is van onze vakantie.
Wij hebben uiteindelijk last minute vliegtickets moeten boeken bij British Airways naar London City Airport en een dure taxirit naar Cambridge voor rond €110,00 moeten regelen waar wij tijdens onze vakantie verbleven omdat onze hotelreservering in Cambridge niet meer te annuleren was. Gelukkig heeft Transavia alle gemaakte kosten vergoed.
Op de terugvlucht naar Rotterdam had Transavia erg veel haast. Dit was merkbaar omdat er snel nadat het boarden was begonnen de laatste oproep werd gedaan en de vliegtuig snel taxiëde.
Samengevat zou ik u advisereren om als u naar ergens met de vliegtuig wil of moet gaan beter een andere luchtvaartmaatschappij kan kiezen in plaats van Transavia.
Voor ons ieder geval ten slotte nooit meer Transavia.

Transavia is really a ridiciulously bad airline.
We've been on a vacation to the United Kingdom for 5 days and we would fly from Rotterdam The Hague Airport to London Stansted Airport with Transavia.
On the day of departure we get the news that our flight towards London Stansted Airport is cancelled and the next flight leaves in 5 days which is the last day of our vacation.
We had to eventually book last minute plane tickets to London City Airport with British Airways and then take a expensive taxi ride which costed us about €110,00 towards Cambridge where we were staying because our hotel reservation wasn't cancellable anymore. Luckily Transavia refunded all costs.
On the return flight towards Rotterdam The Hague Airport Transavia seemed to be in a big hurry and this was noticable as the final call was done after boarding just started and the plane taxied fastly.
Summarized I would advise you if you want or must go to somewhere with plane that you choose another airline instead of Transavia.
Lastly in our case we'll never fly with Transavia again.

I CANT CHNAGE MY FLIGHTS

I CANT CHANGE NOR CAN I RESELL (don’t trust it when they say you can, you can’t) MY 400€ FLIGHTS - AND WHEN IT SAYS YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR FLIGHTS WHILE BUYING THE TICKET YOU HAVE TO PAY DOUBLE THE PRICE OF THE ORIGINAL TICKETS!!! I can’t with low cost anymore this is absurd I had to cancel my vacations because of this

One of the worst company in the world

One of the worst company in the world. I travelled a lot with several companies but never been treated like this. It might have been a simple travel from Pisa to Amsterdam; but in the way back, they cancelled the flight with shameful assistance. They were very unkind and cold saying that the company would not reimburse anything if I would have bought another flight from another Company. They didn't offer hotel nor dinner/breakfast. ANYTHING. But did we pay for this service, he? I'LL NEVER, NEVER BOOK AGAIN WITH TRANSAVIA FLIGHTS. Also discovered it's part of KLM AIR FRANCE, one of the company that still send animals for experiments worldwide. SHAMEFUL.

Good experience

Great flight today from Kos to Paris. No issues with the weight of our bags (max allowance 10kg), just as long as our bags conformed to the size restrictions. All staff were polite, aircraft was clean and no less legroom than others. Flight left and arrived on time. I would not hesitate to use this airline again.

I paid for my ticket and the payment…

I paid for my ticket and the payment was deducted from my WC but I never got a ticket. When I contacted a company regarding this issue they said my payment was declined despite showing them screenshot from my bank account where it clearly stated that payment went through. As a result, I have no ticket and no money. Please, stay away from them, they are a fraud.

Pretty bad

Pretty bad. They don't tell you in the reservation from which terminal your flight is departing or to which is arriving so you have to figure out yourself in google... is this any professional? I dont think so. Imagine old people that dont use technology often, how are them going to figure out?
The flight was delayed and they tell you to come anyway tok early to the airport but they dont know exactly when it is going to depart so you have to be staring at the screen for so long... this is not the way a company treats clients in the first world.
As well, I am taking a flight from Barcelona to Ams. I am not dutch obviously and we are in Barcelona so you can expect Spanish people on the plane right? They treat you and they look to you like you are the plagued.
