Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 83 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently struggle with unhelpful customer service representatives, long waiting times on the phone, and overwhelming difficulties when trying to resolve urgent booking issues. People also report unexpected extra fees added at the counter and face major hurdles when attempting to secure proper refunds or alter their travel reservations. Though some travelers faced significant challenges with their itineraries, a small group of reviewers were happy with smooth booking processes and successful trips. These visitors noted that certain hotel stays and flights proceeded entirely without any complications, successfully providing adequate information, transparent rates, and reliable experiences.

We booked a car hire through…

We booked a car hire through Travelocity with Drivalia Heathrow. On September the 13th this year, l paid $646.47 £495 through Travelocity for a mid-size rental car from 9th of December to the 27th for 18 days from Drivalia car hire. 804-834 Bath Road Heathrow, Airport, Hounslow TW5 9UH UK.

This rental was paid in advance and paid in full with no additional charges due on arrival. The pick-up time was due to be 10 am, but due to poor weather, the flight was delayed for an hour, and we arrived at 11.10am. We were told by the rude Drivalia agent that they did not have a car for us, but that if we paid another £450 and a £1500 deposit, in addition to the £495 we had already paid, that they would find us one. When we requested our money back he refused. We lodged a dispute with them and Travelocity who then replied they would not help.

I thought I booked Travelocity

I thought I booked Travelocity, and even the hotel I booked said it was through Travelocity. Instead, without telling me, I was booked through a different company Eurobookings. I realize how easy it is to get confused. Now they won't let me cancel and I've been crying for 2 days at spending money I don't have. Don't use this company! Go directly through the hotel! Their idea of customer service is to say "tough luck but it's your own fault"

Do not book through Travelocity or…

Do not book through Travelocity or Expedia! Complete #**k around, they cancelled booking made & paid for. No explanation why, booking cancelled without permission or request to and trying to get your money back is an absolute s#**fight! Booking Insurance is complete scam & won't help you at all! Better off booking directly through accommodation or airline. Have booked through Wotif, last-minute & web-jet without issues but would never recommend Travelocity or Expedia

Travelocity is completely unreliable.

Tickets were purchased through Travelocity. We flew the first leg of the flight. The airlines messed up the tickets and did not communicate with the second airlines for the remaining legs of the trip. When we reached the counter of the other airlines, they said the ticketing was done wrong and they cannot issue a boarding pass. Contacted theprevious Airlines, the second airline and Travelocity to come together and rectify the issue. None of them did anything All three of them did finger pointing to each other and never achieved anything. Spent two days at the airport. Tried to solve this issues going from pillar to post calling the Airlines calling Travelocity. None of them did anything and we the passengers had to suffer. The tickets were canceled as a result. When I asked for a refund from Travelocity, they refused, saying that they cannot do anything. Is this the kind of business they do ? How is it that it’s the passengers fault and not the Airlines and Travelocity and they dont take any responsibility? Please do not, do not use this company. They will NOT, NOT do anything for you if you’re in trouble, for no fault of yours.

Unethical business pracdtice

I booked a flight and inadvertently gave a bad email address. When calling 30 minutes later, they told me I couldn't edit it and since flight confirmation number goes to the address, the passenger wouldn't receive. Offered me to cancel the flight for a steep fee of $200 and rebook. We were able to get in touch with the airlines and get the flight confirmation number. They flat out lied to me !!!!!

Absolute worst customer service and experience

Absolute worst customer service and car rental experience I've ever had in my life. Travelocity booked us with Priceless Car Rental who took my money and never showed up at the Airport at the car rental shuttle pick-up in the Miami International Airport. We landed at 8:20am and had to finally rent a car from Enterprise after sitting for over 2 1/2 hours for a shuttle that never showed up. We called many many times, but no one would answer the phone. Twice we got through and were told "The shuttle will be there in 5-10 mins. It never showed up. We had other car rental company shuttles ask us who we were waiting for, each one said very bad decision, shook their heads and said you were a horrible company. I would have NEVER rented from this establishment, but Travelocity booked it and it ruined the start of our Vacation/Anniversary trip. We will never use Travelocity again and we will let them know what a terrible experience we had with your company. NEVER AGAIN. I spoke with them to get a refund and they want us to wait until taIk to the car rental place, even though they hired them and they are the ones responsible. We paid Travelocity, not Priceless. Travelocity needs to refund our money and refuses to do so because they want Priceless to give approval?? I will file a report with the Attorney State General and BBB. We never got our money back and they never apologized or did anything.

worst customer service ever! only AI chat support....

I booked the ticket from IAD to New Delhi through Travelocity and am extremely disappointed with its customer service, which only offers AI chat support and no option to speak with a representative. I urgently need to speak with a customer service representative to resolve my issue, but their website isn't providing that option. Unfortunately, this frustrating experience has led me to not recommend Travelocity services. I wish I read the reviews before booking the tickets. They truly have the worst customer service ever.

We flew to key west Florida through…

We flew to key west Florida through Travelocity. Our flight from Atlanta to Key West was canceled by Delta due to a storm. Delta sent me an email that they refunded the flight fee to Travelocity.I had to keep contacting Travelocity, at first they kept saying they got the refund but it would take another 2 weeks. Since then just disconnect the call. I'll never use them again.

You always hear Canadians are SOOOO…

You always hear Canadians are SOOOO nice, but, if you want to see and feel it in person then you HAVE to stay at "Four Points by Sheraton Kelowna"!!
From being picked up at the airport, to the ladies greeting me at the front desk to the restaurant (don't even get me started on those flavors) to every person I met. The men and women that clean the rooms (they will provide you with extra coffee and creamers. :).
Seriously, these Canadians are absolutely some of the nicest people.
Don't get me wrong, they are not mushy nice, but kinda like having the perfect glass of wine or hot chocolate with the right number of marshmallows.
I will absolutely say here again and again.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Booked a flight/hotel package back in May. Show up at my hotel today to find they never received the reservation due to a change in ownership of the hotel. I have been on the phone with Travelocity for THREE HOURS with 7 different people in total trying to get them to do something to make this right. I have NEVER received such horrible customer service before. But the thing is that I'm such an insignificant customer that they honestly couldn't care less if I never use them again. They are a multi-million dollar company and someone poor like me doesn't even make a dent to them. They literally do not care that they have been so horrible to me.

Tried to modify a booking

Tried to modify a booking, and was told by Travelocity I would be charged by the hotel anyway, a cancellation fee of one night's stay. I went to said hotel to ask them if they would charge me, and they said no. I even got the front desk manager's name that I spoke with. I conveyed all of this to Travelocity, and they flat out said that I had stayed at the hotel (I had NOT), and that I would be charged one night's stay. AWFUL experience with Travelocity.

Beware

Beware. Travelocity will book you a car rental reservation when no cars are available. Never book a car rental from them. Happened to me today. Spent $50 in Uber fare to pick up a nonexistent car.

The transportation was uncomfortable…

The transportation was uncomfortable and overcrowded, and the guide had little to no knowledge about the animals or their habitats. We spent most of the tour driving around in a cramped vehicle, with minimal wildlife sightings. When we did spot animals, there was no effort to provide educational information or enhance the experience. The tour was poorly organized and failed to deliver on its promise of an exciting wildlife adventure.

I used to like Travelocity, no longer

I used to like Travelocity. Not anymore. You cannot talk to an agent. If you make a mistake you cannot fix it. I will NEVER use it again. This was a costly experience.
I spent over 30 minutes in a Chat with a MD Zeyaul. I'm still not sure this was a person, Every 15 min or so I was told they would look into my issue in the next 5 minutes. HORRIBLE. If I could give negative stars I would.

Avoid Icelandair

We flew on Icelandair from Portland (PDX) to Helsinki (HEL) and return via Keflavik. We paid a premium for extra leg space but discovered that the seat next to emergency exit actually has restricted leg space. The compartment that houses the emergency slide intrudes into the space immediately in front of the seat. Further, seats are uncomfortably narrow as is the center aisle. The Boeing 757 had just two restrooms in the rear of the plane to accommodate 168 passengers.
We have been flying internationally for 50 years and these Icelandair flights were the least comfortable that we could recall. Icelandair is off the list.
