Mains Food was lovely
Sweets were a bit limited and basic.
Service was automatically added to the bill of drinks when I would prefer to reward good service by choice not by being automatically added.

We have booked a couple of country house hotel stays in England. They’ve been very good value, great food, really nice rooms and situated in lovely places. I would recommend Travelzoo for their deals.

We went for a casual dinner on Saturday night to Make Ends Meet to check out the new Bistro on Merton St. in midtown Toronto. We were very impressed with the ambiance as it has a very nice Bistro feeling with comfortable booths and large dining tables. Our meal was fantastic and our server Kateryna was absolutely great to deal with as her service was very attentive. Best mussels we ever had!!! The braised lamb shank and salmon entrees were beautifully prepared and delicious. The beer list contains real German and Belgian beers! We look forward to enjoying another dinner at Make Ends Meet soon. It's a great midtown spot with a great patio to enjoy during the summer months.

We took a voucher for £129 for a 2 night stay and were charged £258. We thought the voucher was for 2 nights for £129. When we arrived we then realised their rooms were £75 per night! On top of the fact the room was probably the smallest in the hotel. I think in future voucher deals it should say clearly how much per night as we would not have bothered at that price.

The ambience was great and the staff were welcoming, professional and attentive. The food was excellent although one of our party had a tougher piece of meat. We did mention this when asked how our meal was and the staff apologized and offered another meal but we had all finished so declined. When our bill came the staff said our coffees were on the house.
Overall this is a great experience and would recommend.

I have been a loyal Travelzoo member for over 20 years and have consistently trusted the platform to deliver well-vetted, high-quality travel experiences. Unfortunately, this recent booking has significantly undermined that trust.
I purchased a two-night package at The Meritage Resort in Napa through Travelzoo, expecting the curated resort experience that was advertised. Instead, upon arrival, I was told my confirmed reservation was not available and was relocated to a neighboring Wyndham property that was clearly inferior in every aspect—room quality, amenities, dining options, and overall environment. I was not even allowed access to the Meritage resort due to a corporate event, which meant none of the core benefits of the package were actually delivered.
While the hotel ultimately issued a full refund after escalation, that does not change the fact that the experience Travelzoo promoted was not provided. What is most disappointing is Travelzoo’s response to this situation. After taking the time to explain the full impact—including the disruption to a planned family trip—I was told that no additional compensation or goodwill gesture could be offered simply because the purchase had already been refunded.
This response reflects a lack of accountability for the quality and accuracy of the experiences Travelzoo promotes. A full refund addresses the financial transaction, but it does not make up for a failed trip or restore customer confidence. For a platform that markets itself on curated and trusted deals, I expected a higher level of ownership and customer care—especially as a long-time member.
This experience has made me more cautious about relying on Travelzoo going forward.

Excellent evening out at The River Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay.. A delicious three course meal, served attentively and politely in great surroundings. A special meal and one purchased through Travelzoo, easily set up and booked.

Food was amazing, couldn’t fault it but the wait time was over an hour and staff were on the defensive/rude side which let the experience down, could improve where customer experience is involved.

Burn Hall is in a lovely location and is just a short distance from popular places to visit such as York and Castle Howard. We stayed two nights. It was very comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food on offer. We will be very happy to visit again.

Deceptive practices. Do not use Travelzoo. They trick you into autorenew and customer service gives you difficulty refunding membership charges.

Really enjoyed this experience. Some of the cars brought back many memories from my past.
Would recommend if you like cars.
