Hello everyone! I want to warn you to be very careful with Troostwijk. This organization is engaged in outright fraud and is focused solely on taking your money. Forget about honesty if you plan to buy anything there.

You may win a lot even at a high price, but in the end you will receive junk worth only about one third of what you paid. Many things are deliberately hidden by the auction organizers. For example, when it comes to cars or other equipment, defects are not mentioned at all—even if the item is completely unusable. For instance, a broken engine or gearbox, or even a vehicle with no engine at all. Such issues are simply kept quiet.

As for bidding, it feels very likely that the system itself is programmed to push bids as high as possible. In short: trash. Customer support doesn’t care—they’ve already gotten their money, and the rest is your problem.

It’s better not to participate at all, and if you do, definitely not with Troostwijk.

To be clear this is not against the people who worked at the auction that day.
It was chaos and extremely busy, the wait line was insanely long.
They worked with at least 15 people and multiple forklifts.

You had to sign that you received your goods before you got to see them, which is fine because of how busy it was so they can speed up the process.

But now items are missing (expensive items) and the items we're on pallets that they sealed up (which is perfect for speeding up the process)

Now I complained about the missing items and there answer is "you should have checked all your items on sight at the pick up place"
Which means that next time I have to unpack and lay out 22 lots with around 200 items before taking them with me.

Pretty sure the people working that day would have really appreciated that.

I offered that they can pick up the goods and return my money for the 2 out of 3 lots that had missing items.
1 lot had the proper items but nog enoug, missing a few (which I said that I won't make a big deal of that if the 2 big ones are solved)
Plus I won't make a big deal that I rented a large trailer for 2 extra pallets that costed me extra money and now those pallets are worthless.

I was offered a €25 coupon in my account and later 40% money return.
Which means in my eyes that they know that they messed up but try to cheap out on customer service.
Making it hard to get any.

This is kind of a trend with this company, there are only a few people so far who are willing to discuss the problem.
It is luck if the draw who you get.

Not recommended unless you are willing to take a high risk of getting scammed.

Warning. On this auctions sold stolen items. Not good partner

We participated in various auctions and generated more than €500k in turnover. Their commission is 18%, which is not small considering the completely poor communication. It is very slow and sometimes impossible to obtain information about the auction and the seller, especially when it comes to larger machines for which organizing transport is not easy if you don't live in the Netherlands or a neighboring country — in this particular case, we are 2,000 kilometers away from the Netherlands.

We bought a machine, and first you have to wait 3 days for them to send you the invoice as confirmation, after which you can pick up the machine. Then you have to organize transport within one day, which is impossible from our location. Since it said there was only one day for pickup (ha ha), we asked for the seller’s contact (which we again received only after a few days, and only because a colleague searched the address on Google Maps to find out which company was located there, so we could contact them and check if it was them).

When they confirmed it was their auction, we discussed the pickup and agreed that we would collect it on the same day we were collecting another huge machine from the SAME LOT, which required special transport. In the end, everything fell through, and all I received was an email saying that the amount for that auction had been refunded. When I contacted Troostwijk, they said nothing could be done and that this is just how it is. With that nonchalant response, we lost 25% of the amount we paid.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT IS COMPLETELY USELESS.

Terrible auction. Not enough information. There is no information about the size of the item, there is no specific manager who could answer questions. In my particular case, after purchasing the item, no one answered my question about how much the lot weighs and what the packaging size is. This is necessary to provide information to the transport company. That's exactly why I found out all this. When they didn't give me this information, they started threatening that they would charge me for each day of storage of my item! That is, I am ready to pick it up, ready to send transport, I want to know the size and weight, they don't tell me anything about this, but I have to pay for storage!! I am buying from Latvia, I do not have the physical ability to go and pick it up. It's fine if it's a small box, but what if it's a large machine? How do I load it onto the truck? They write self-pickup. Okay, I'll send a truck, who will lift the machine onto the platform? Why can't this be specified in the description? How can I arrange this from another country on a specific day or time? Isn't it too complicated? The auction takes its percentage, but nothing It does. I don't recommend buying anything there. Terrible service.

The experience with you is good, the lots match the description, and the pickup is done within a reasonable time. In cases where there are lots that require dismantling machinery, etc., we consider that a single pickup day with a time window of usually 6–7 hours is not sufficient for organizing and loading. In such cases, we believe it would be necessary to schedule at least 2 days.

Overall good experience with the auctions platform. The payment process could be improved, there is no way to pay instant by card. Bank transfer is slow.

I have purchased from Troostwijk Auctions several times, including two cars, a laptop, and a washing machine. Unfortunately, all of them arrived in very poor condition, and some items did not work at all. The descriptions stated that the items only had signs of use and were “working well,” but this was completely inaccurate and did not reflect the real condition of the products.

There was no possibility to return any of the items, even though the defects were serious and clearly not mentioned in the listing.

Based on my experience, I strongly advise others not to be misled by their descriptions and to avoid buying from this auction. The risk is very high, and the actual quality of the products is far from what is advertised.

Thank you for your reply. Here are the details:

For the laptop purchased under Buyer number: B1-5793555, the built-in RAM on the motherboard is defective, so the device does not work properly from the moment I received it. The listing claimed it was tested and working well, which was misleading.

The car purchased under the same buyer number also has a major issue: the engine is mixing oil and requires a full engine replacement. The description mentioned only normal signs of use and did not indicate such a serious defect.

These issues show that the descriptions did not match the actual condition of the items.

Really Nice auctions. Site is really perfect. Only thing is when the lot is almost closing and you or someone else bid more, the lot closing time is expell. So than you think you are the winner and sonetimes you lose.
