Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 103 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently encountered significant issues with the app and streaming service, reporting constant buffering, freezing, pixelation, and unresponsive links, which made watching content difficult. Many people were also dissatisfied with their subscriptions, finding that advertised content was often unavailable or required additional payments, leading to unexpected auto-renewals or a lack of access to desired sports. Reviewers expressed frustration over the limited coverage of certain sports and events, with some finding their favorite teams or races were not included despite subscribing for that specific purpose. However, some customers also noted problems with the user interface, including missing search functionality, broken links, and spoilers for replays. People also mentioned being annoyed by excessive ads and commentators who talked too much during games, making it hard to hear the athletes.

Absolutely trash!

Everytime I try to watch something it says that my internet is unstable! I have to call in and trouble shoot EVERYTIME. This last time they told me it just won't work because xbox is no longer supported, I need a smart TV. TSN has decided that if I can't afford the latest technology then I am not worthy to watch sports. I am too poor to travel or do concerts, I just want to watch CFL for a little enjoyment but TSN has announced that if I don't come up with money to buy a smart device then I am too poor to enjoy even this for recreation!...even when I PAY for it. Clearly they are the spawn of an oppressive Trudeau government, stomping on those at the bottom!!!

Streaming Euros on TSN Direct

Got TSN Direct to stream the Euros. Only thing that went smoothly was the purchase when they got my payment (no refunds). Absolutely horrible experience. Every time I switch on, the icons for the matches are locked and it takes random clicks and moving between tabs to unlock and get to the live game. Missed the entire first half of the Czech Republic vs Turkey game today with a "Service not available. Try later" message. If anyone is planning to get this to watch the KO stages, think again. If you have another option, go for it. Has to be better than this.

Tsn is dragging down the CFL

Tsn is dragging down the CFL. They allow incompetent commentators to carry on about everything but the game. People don’t care about something that has nothing to do with the game. And so we watch the unprofessional commentators carry on and our Canadian sports suffer

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THEM FOR LIVE…

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THEM FOR LIVE STREAMING FRENCH OPEN. They WILL appear in the search engine but they DO NOT offer streaming of the event despite aggressively advertising their "coverage" of the event. I subscribed to them thinking they were legit and now.. I am just robbed of 19cad... They will NOT reimburse you if you make the same mistake as me. Super misleading of them and downright shady.

the new female panel members

the new female panel members, except 2 of them are not communicators.. laura daikin and hazel may, have figured out how to highlight the sport they are covering. the rest are seemingly competing with other panel members, and the sport being covered for attention. sunday may 5th sportsnet has a female hostess and i had to change the channel. same day world mens u-18 hockey had laura daikin and dave reid at the desk, and it was awesome how they meshed and highlighted the game. just because an announcer gets the job...doesnt mean they know their craft. this is one of big problems with female newbys. i just watch something else, rather than get angry.

I purchased the subscription when I saw…

I purchased the subscription when I saw NHL live, I didn’t realize they didn’t have the rights to stream the playoffs. When I contacted them 10 minutes after they absolutely refused to give me a refund. Saying “we have strict policies to work within, it is in the terms and conditions you agreed to when subscribing” I feel bad for the employees that have to deal with pissed off customers. I will never be using TSN and most certainly will be telling everyone in my path how pathetic this company’s structure is. I will also be spacing myself from any sister companies as I’ve noticed a very similar experience.

TSN+ doesn’t work on Samsung Frame tv!!!!

We signed up for TSN + monthly so we could watch golf.
We have a Samsung Frame tv with the TSN app pre loaded.
We can’t watch TSN on our tv and there appears to be no solution.
We have had multiple calls from TSN tech support who ask us to do the same task every time.
It’s been almost a month and there is no update nor any plan to reduce or waive the fees paid.

Do not subscribe to TSN if you plan to stream via TV apps

I am a customer in the Ottawa region. For the 2nd game in a row, it says that I cannot view the Sens game because the app thinks I am in the wrong region (I am not - TSN verified that). No VPN use.

For the 2nd games in a row, I called the help line who went through some troubleshooting and then finally admitted that they were having an issue with some TV based apps (Apple TV, LG, etc). This is the 2nd call - 48 hours ago I made the same call and they said they would contact me. They did not.

The support line couldn't tell me anything - it had been sent to technical support and that's all they could say. It had been 48 hours since the last issue - you think they could fix it by then.

On this call, they told me they cannot call me until the problem is fixed but there is no timeframe for resolution. They offered a credit for the time period that the outage lasted (which in my calculation is less than $0.50).

I prepaid for the year and I tried to cancel but I could only cancel my next renewal. I cannot get a refund. I don't want to watch on my computer or phone. On another note, their Twitter support is @TSNHelp suspended for violating the Twitter rules for some reason.

They obviously don't care about their streaming customers. DO NOT PAY TSN upfront for a year.

TSN just stole $8 from me

TSN just stole $8 from me. They advertise you can watch the cfl on tsn+ but you can't and when I called to find out what was going on they just tried to upsell me to the full channel and refused to refund my $8 even though it was less than 10 minutes since I ordered. So nice of them to broadcast the Canadian football league but only allow Canadians access to it for way too much money
