Horrible service. We had to pay for additional costs that we didn't agree on. Never rent a car @Turisprime, or say goodbye to your money.

We initially booked online with Discovery Cars, which was great value with easy online booking system.
The car rental company they partnered with in Algarve/Faro was Turisprime who are in a super convenient easy to find location - only 5mins from Faro airport. Quick and frequent courtesy shuttle bus service. Unfortunately Discovery Cars gave us the Turisprime Lisbon shuttle bus instructions & contact info instead of Faro so a bit of confusion locating the shuttle bus on arrival and delayed us by 30mins.

But Turisprime quickly resolved the issue and it was a fast car pick up/drop off process with super attentive, courteous, professional, friendly, efficient, lovely staff. Took about 25mins total from shuttle pick up to driving off in quality new Kia rented car - excellent service!
Good value car rental fee overall - at car collection we paid extra for fully comprehensive insurance and additional driver - and all in rental fee was approx. GBP £375 for 11 days with 5-door economy Kia. Highly recommend using the ViaVerde credit card pre-authorised toll system. No stopping and no cash needed and paid at end of rental. All organised by Turisprime staff. Very convenient and good value!

We rented a car last week in Lisbon airport. By the desk we had to pay almost 3 times the normal price. Without helping us out and come with a solution standing there with a kids of 4 yr. What a terrible company only go the money without looking at they customers. Never again!!!

I bought the carjet insurance and at the time they said they didn't accept it and wanted to force me to buy another one.

After reading so many bad reviews I was a little sceptical before renting their car, but I actually had a very good experience with them. I booked the car via DiscoverCars (with their Full coverage insurance) and everything went smoothly. They did want us to take their coverage insurance, but we declined and they didnt persist any further. After returning the car with a cracked windshield they helped us out with all the documentation we later needed for a refund claim at DiscoverCars. The guy at the Porto counter (I think Gilbert?) was really nice. I would definitely recommend them.

We booked via the website rentmycar with our creditcard. At the company turisprime we couldn’t pay with our Meastro Creditcard, because the device didn’t work with our creditcard. We called the bank if something was wrong with our creditcard, but it wasn’t. We could only get a car if we pay 330 euro with the full ensurance instead of the 75 euro is was offered on the site. Eventually we booked an other car at an other carcompany where the creditcard works just fine...

We booked the car online because of the apparent lower prices. The ''Under 25 years old'' and the ''Pick Up/Drop off at different locations'' fees were not declared (140+ euros for 9 days). The guy in Lisbon was hurried and not friendly when asking about the undeclared fees. He didn't told us about the skretches on the car and if we hadn't taken the pictures of them we would have had to pay for the damages at the drop off. He also didn't gave us the car's documents. Few days later the car (mitsubishi space star) didn't turn on. We called them and their only solution was to make us call road assistance to bring them the car from Lagos to Faro (I don't want to imagine how much we would have payed). We were able to push the car and turn it on. When we brought the car in Faro to change it they treated us like we were dumb saying that it was our fault letting the battery down. So we kept the car and surprise, three days later it happened again (it was not the battery but the electric engine that starts the car to be damaged). Annoyed by the situation we decided to drop off the car two days earlier. We hope to receive our deposits back...

Avoid Turisprime! Extremely poor service and smacks of a scam. 1 star is already too much. I wanted to pick up the car at Faro Airport that I had booked online 4 months earlier for a good price. Due to scarcity, the rates for rental cars had meanwhile risen considerably. My credit card’s spending limit was sufficient, but according to Turisprime staff, my credit card supposedly didn't work when paying the deposit. So, it was ‘computer says no’ and I simply did not get a car. The staff made no effort at all to come up with an alternative. I was still able to withdraw money with the same credit card and eventually I rented a car from another provider, and paid both rent and deposit with... yes, the same credit card. I suspect that Turisprime just wanted to rent out the car I had booked for a competitive rate to someone else for double the amount. They will never see me again.

1 hour waiting, super unorganised, they made us pay for 2 different insurances. Run! Chose another company. It's a joke...

Really bad. Do not reccomend.
We already paid for insurance online and when we got there they said that we need to pay it again. When we explained that they simply dismissed us . They were very rude and did not care to explain. We didn t have any dirrections . It took us 2 hours to find them. All they said was to pick up car at airport but what they ment was actually wait for a shutle at the airport. Very sketchy location . Very sketchy employees . Everything felt like we were getting ripped off so we decided to rent a car somewhere else. Wasted half a day with them and its almost been a week and we still did not receive our money back from them

Very bad esperience. One hour wait to retire the car. No support, write diesel on the contract instead the car was a gasoline one. No one answer to the telephone to give us support. No clear how they calcute the fee for payment road.

Joining the crew with negative reviews. Avoid this company if you can! Not professional services and business model based on cheating people. We must paid for small skretch on fender (XS car) + 276€ (not aware was made by us). When we asked how they came up with this price, (was not absolutely adequate to small skretch, they just answered: You must pay this! Always look carefully a car you are taking and make pictures to have proof of actual state !!!! When we picked up the car, we did not add full overprice insurence, as was told us, that without there is coverage up to 1500€! After we found out was with full responsability for everything up to 1500€. Bad communicated by them probably with purpose.

I will not be using Turisprime ever again. They overcharged me, adding on 'super cover', personal accident insurance, and 'dispositive via verde'. I told them - and showed them - my existing personal accident insurance specifically for car hire. They told me it was irrelevant. They deliberately sought to bamboozle me on the spot with my card being used for multiple deposits and payments that were swiped one after the other. They did not at any point offer - nor did I accept - their 'super cover' or personal accident insurance. As for "dispositivo via verde" - green way device - what even is that? Again, absolutely no explanation of what it was, whether it was optional. This was a deliberate ploy to take money off a customer in a busy office. Their behaviour verged on threatening as the senior manager tried aggressively to persuade me to spend more money on additional insurance. I refused but clearly they determined to push it through anyway. This was a disappointing end to a car hire that appeared at first to be good value. With the additional charge, the rental was more expensive than reputable global brands. Turisprime is a local operator with questionable business practices, Cheap but not worth it.

Being really scared after reading these reviews I was very nervous to rent with Turisprime but being the cheapest by far I thought I'd give it a try. I used the service from Porto Airport. From the moment I arrived, the lady was really friendly, explaining everything to me and tried to upsell the insurance but that wasn't a problem as was expected. Once I said that I had some other insurance the lady happily gave me the key to the car, which was in pristine condition. When taking the car back the other lady was also very friendly and happily refunded me my deposits that I had left. These came back to my account the same day. I would definitely recommend to anyone and would be happy to use again in the future

Rented a car in june for 1 WEEK waited to long for the pick up ..charged deposit for fuel €85 euros plus €75 toll deposit and €196 euros for insurance .
CLOSED CONTRACT ON JUNE 6TH AND HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY €75 EUROS BACK (OVER 2 MONTHS).
sent loads of emails and got one response and that's it ...Avoid

Got a great price online and was a little concerned when I saw these reviews..but everything was very good and no issues.
Collected car from Porto Airport.
(walk out revolving door in front of Cafe Delta..find Bus with TurisPrime written on it..new clean bus..3min drive to office)...easy pick up...everything explained clearly with no hard sell...quick service...very new car and clean...would rent again. Returned car after 7 day rental with no issues..quick inspection for damage (there was none)..paid for tolls...75 deposit was held for late tolls that take 2/3days to appear (this was all explained at collection time)...great service .. would recommend and would use again.

The mini car we rented was in good condition. The issue i had was with the pricing with the internet booking which doesnt present you the final price. With the insurance they were trying to push on us, a young drivers fee (till 25 years) and the activation of the toll system the price would be 3x the original one. The cashier pretended she never heard of wisecars.com (the website through which we booked the car) and didnt know what the basic insurance at wisecars covered.

Abuse of security deposit and improper charging. I was charged EUR350 for a small scratch on the car with no clear price breakdown of what the amount covers. This is clearly their business model. I advise against using this company.

Used them for a 3-day rental which would normally cost 56 Euro. Apart from the fact that I had to wait 40 mins to get the car, as nobody was in the office, eventually they charged me with 296 Euro without any reasonable explanation. A tiny scratch on the mirror and the tank which was not 100% full, as I filled 2(!!) KMS far from the airport concluded on this!!
Terrible company.
