If you have a problem with Ubuy they will never refund you!

I ordered 2 items from Ubuy, they charged me 120$ for express shipping to be delivered by: Fri, Mar 27.
Pick up by DHL was on Thu, 02 Apr 2026 and delivery on Tue Apr 07 2026 at 09:05.
Meanwhile they lied, manipulated me and refused to cancel the order and refund the money (I have the emails to prove it). When cornered, they will ignore your emails. They promised to refund the difference between standard and express shipping, now they are promising a credit to my Ubuy account! This not a refund.
Please know that when you have a problem with Ubuy they will fail all the commitments they pledge on their website. Buyer beware.

Express shipping that wasn't — months of delays, extra charges, and a 7-hour clearance ordeal

I placed an order with Ubuy using express shipping, with a promised delivery date of 17 March 2026 to Rwanda. That date was missed. It was revised to 27 March. That was also missed.
The item arrived at their U.S. warehouse (Erlanger, KY) on March 11. Despite a written commitment to dispatch within 24–48 working hours, it sat there until March 25–26 — a delay of 7–9 days with no proactive communication.
After purchase, I was asked to pay an additional $64 in shipping charges. On March 30, rather than a door-to-door delivery as marketed, I was required to travel to the DHL office and airport and personally manage the customs clearance process. This took seven hours (2pm–9pm) and cost me an additional ~$155 USD in clearance and handling fees.
Total additional costs incurred: approximately $219 USD against an item valued at ~$275 USD.
After raising this formally in multiple emails — documenting every failure clearly and professionally — Ubuy offered $13 as compensation and stated this was their maximum offer. The $64 post-purchase shipping charge has never been addressed.
The product works. The service did not. I would not recommend Ubuy for international express orders where reliability and accountability matter.

These charges are levied by your country’s customs authorities and are payable by the recipient upon arrival. Hence $155 clearance and handling fees is non refundable as they are imposed by third-party government or logistics entities. We have no control over or ability to waive such charges.
$13 compensation – We acknowledge the delay in processing your order at our U.S. warehouse and have already issued a $13 compensation for that specific delay. We understand this does not fully address your inconvenience, but it was offered in good faith for the processing delay only.
$64 extra shipping charge – We have previously sent an email to you with a detailed explanation for this additional shipping cost.

While we are unable to refund the customs or clearance fees, we truly regret that your overall experience fell short of expectations. Your feedback is valuable, and we will use it to improve transparency around DAP shipments and delivery timelines for international customers.

Spam after entering details but not purchasing

I put an item in my shopping cart, went to fill in my details for shipping (including my phone number), then after entering my address it showed the shipping cost. I found a cheaper alternative elsewhere, so I didn't complete the purchase.

Now half an hour later, they send me a text (WhatsApp) message AND an email telling me there's still something in my shopping cart.

I didn't even commit my details. I never pressed a "send" button. They just recorded my details as I was typing them and sent me spam.
