Poor advice. Wrong diagnosis. Inconsistent advice from vets. Really poor. I won't use again unless I really have no other choice.

Too vague. Ask GPT for free.

We had to go there as our vet referred him for a scan. He was was referred at 8am and we were told to wait for a call from them that morning about a time to go.
At 11.30 i rang our vets as we'd heard nothing and they told us to ring them direct to see whatceas going on. I did.
They dont do scans at weekend. ( they had the referral but didnt ring me to tell me this) My vet who was due to close at 12 said to go anyway and get bloods and they could advise me then. Our Pug dog was bleeding from his nose off and on. We spent 3 hours there and were told that the price for what they were doing would be be £600 to £800 pounds.
They took a verbal history . Had to mildly sedate our dog as he was frightened. We could not stay with him during any of this.
The outcome was a visual platelet count that we were told was very very low. No numbers or comparisons as to where it should be. We also asked if they were going to sedate him if they could have a good look in his mouth as our vet a couple of days before had said he thought he might have a wobbley tooth . When he xame out they hadnt been able to do that as they dont like Pugs being sedated ( which I know perfectly well as we have had 3) but while she was looking at the slide our Pug fell fast asleep on us in the waiting room and we had a good look in his mouth and took a video of a cut on his tongue.
We were then told nothing that chat GPT didnt tell us but were told we could leave him there on a drip for the weekend we're now on 3pm Saturday for about £6000 to £8000 pounds.
We brought him home.
The day after found a tooth on the floor.
And from the Sunday he's fighting fit.
The price was £389. That day.
Far too vague with actions and pricing.
But very nice people.

Manslaughter of 3 English Bull Terrier puppies, for nothing

This is an updated review regarding the mistreatment of my animals at the hands of Vets Now, Old Bury Road Manchester, as the 1st one was written in haste & anger; however one thing won't be changed, is that Vets Now we're complicit not only in the torture of my pups, but also in aiding & abetting in the murder of 3 out of four of the pups, my dog should have given birth to.

I initially approached Vets Now after I got seriously bad guidance from a practice local to myself, 2 hours into my dogs labour, I attended my local Veterinary Practice & requested help for my English Bull Terrier, who I had previously informed, contacted & physically attended their surgery & told them my dog was pregnant & overdue, they were well aware of my dogs condition & issues.

For whatever reason they told me to go home, despite having said her labour was only a concern if she had excreted a green liquid, to which I said she hadn't & was told we'll go home and make her comfortable she will pass the pups herself; upon attempting to exit the treatment room, my worst nightmares had come true & as could be seen from the remains on the floor, my dog had just excreted green liquid; which I duly informed the vet regarding & the same information was repeated again, don't worry take her home & keep er calm & give her support, I've she has not passed the pups in a few hours, contacted our out of hours partner; which I did the second I exited their Practice, only for them to contact Mearleys & come back reiterate and support their stupidity!!

Now I have 2 so called experts telling me I was wrong & should take my dog home & make her comfortable for the next few hours, if nothing has occurred contacted us later; I took my dog home & had to sit and watch her miscarry.

It was after this I contacted now vets again to request treatment for my dog, they told me that I either had to pay £5000 or look for another vet, I attemted to phone other Practices to get my dog treatment however I kept getting refusals as people were not listening properly to what I was saying.

After trying some regional practices & coming up against further stupidity, I contacted Vets Now again & agreed to pay for my dogs treatment expecting & hoping for some relief from the suffering my dog was encountering.

On attending the Old Bury Road practice I was subjected to a supercilious & patronising attitude from the staff; I was distressed & emotional because my dog was deteriorating & every second it took for me to get her help was adding to and increasing her stress. During this period I felt vilified & stupid as I was being perceived with scorn from the staff for my stupidity in getting my dog into this situation in the 1st place, when it was actually they're lack of action that had put my dogs life in such a precarious position, not only did I get treated with disdain & hostility my dog lost 3 of her pups because of all the delays & messing about it was 8 o'clock before they treated her symptoms, treatment I had requested twice 6 hours earlier & was dismissed; as a consequence of this passage of time my dog miscarried three innocent beautiful puppies. RIP little brothers you won't die in vain.

First Time User

Never had to use a pet hospital before. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The vets explained everything fully and didn't mind repeating when I wasn't taking things in properly. They facilitated visits for us to see our dog whilst she was hospitalised and they made sure she was comfortable. Sadly it turned out that she was terminal but they didn't hesitate when I said I wanted to take her home and would prefer to arrange end of life via our usual vets. I think she got the best care I could have asked for and I was kept informed of costs throughout.

Our Boy Benny

We brought our cat, Benny, in during the early hours of Saturday the 11th as an emergency. We’re absolutely heartbroken that he didn’t make it, but we wanted to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible care and compassion we received from the entire team.
Everyone made us feel as comfortable and supported as possible during such a difficult time. We’re so sorry that we don’t remember the name of the vet who looked after Benny, but please pass on our thanks - it was clear he was treated with such kindness, care, and respect, just as we were.
We were also touched by the thoughtful aftercare. Receiving Benny’s paw prints and a clipping of his fur brought us comfort when we needed it most.
Thank you again to the whole team for your compassion and care

Low care at huge cost

Very few updates. Every penny of her insurance policy gone yet no improvement. Told to discharge her when not eaten for 6 days. Waited over 90 minutes for discharge and still could not discuss anything with a vet due to staff shortages. Horrific experience.

If i could give 10 stars i would!

Our cat fred was hit by a car last week and we were sent to vetsnow with a suspected broken leg. From start to finish they were fantastic. Fred ended up with a broken leg and a dislocated hip and needed surgery on both. Every single step of the way we were kept updated, calls from the surgeons before and after each operation and calls to give us updates from a lady called rachel every morning and every evening. I also asked if we could have a picture of fred and these were sent to us by Ellie. Fred needed to stay in hospital for 6 nights and to perk him up we were also allowed to go and visit him and were left in a room and told to take as long as we needed. We absolutely cannot thank everyone enough for looking after our baby and giving him the best care and most of all for giving us constant reassurance on what was a very worrying time for us.

Vital service just a phone call away

We contacted Vets Now with a possible parvo scare with our 2, 10 week old puppies on Sunday 28/9.
Fantastic service from the initial contact via our regular vet's out of hours telephone number. To within half an hour they were at the Whitefield Vetinary clinic. Triaged promptly by a nurse on arrival,, they were both seen treated and prescribed medication by a vet, . They were back home playing a few hours later
