Catherine was courteous and professional. She identified the issue and resolved it quickly.
The quality of the goods were brilliant . Unfortunately we ordered the wrong fit of toilet which lead to a few delivery issues back to Victorian Plumbing. A lady called Sadie helped us to resolve the issue she was outstanding .
They seem to have everything, and always at the best prices. You can spend hours going around showrooms and online, and still end up back here.
Avoid if you value good customer service and a stress-free delivery experience
I honestly cannot recommend Victorian Plumbing based on my experience. Their products may look nice, but that means very little when the customer service and delivery experience are this frustrating. My advice is simple: if you decide to order from them, pray that absolutely nothing goes wrong with your order, because trying to get help afterwards can become a nightmare.
One of the biggest problems is the lack of a proper customer service phone number. If you need help, you are expected to use live chat, but the queues can be so long that you struggle to get through to anyone at all. When you have spent a significant amount of money and something goes wrong, being unable to simply pick up the phone and speak to a member of staff is completely unacceptable.
The delivery system was equally frustrating. The company delivering the items is separate from Victorian Plumbing, which seems to make resolving delivery problems even more complicated. The delivery drivers do not help bring heavy items upstairs, so if you live in a flat, you could be left with a serious problem. You are expected to somehow manage large, heavy items yourself. In my experience, the delivery arrangements were incredibly inconvenient, with items being left in unsuitable locations or delivered far away from where they actually needed to be.
What made the entire experience worse was the feeling that, once there was a problem, you were left to chase, wait, struggle to get in contact with someone and deal with the consequences yourself. Ordering bathroom products should not be this stressful.
Victorian Plumbing may have nice products, but nice products do not make up for poor communication, inaccessible customer service and a delivery process that can leave customers in an extremely difficult situation. A company selling large and heavy household items should have much better systems in place to support customers when things do not go according to plan.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing and stressful experience. I would strongly advise anyone considering ordering from Victorian Plumbing to think carefully, especially if you live in a flat or would struggle to move heavy items yourself. Hopefully your order goes perfectly, because based on my experience, if it doesn’t, getting proper help can be incredibly difficult.
Joseph Leary was a great help when I had a few issues, thank you so much!
Joe Adeniyi from your customers team was great processing my order. The code for saves baskets is a cool tool too.
I think I was part of some kind of experiment with VP. I would buy a product, and it would arrive broken. They would send a replacement; the replacement would arrive broken. This happened so many times, on so many different items, that I just started to expect anything to arrive broken, and more often than not, it did.
VP were always quick to apologise and send a replacement, but usually another damaged replacement.
This delayed my bathroom install massively. VP say they can't be liable for this and expect you to have received and checked all items before arranging a contractor - which is obviously completely unfeasible for anyone unless you have the space to have a full bathroom suite sitting in your living room for weeks till you can arrange a contractor.
Will avoid this company in the future; not worth the time and faff.
Toilet seat looks great but not very well made, moves around a lot.
had to order again as lost in delivery now paid twice
I spoke to Joseph Leary at VP and he was quick, polite and solved my issue really fast,
Auto fill for card details did not work, may be a daily glitch... I used PayPal option instead.
