Entered into a new contract requesting that apart from sky movies my channels would remain the same. We agreed a new price. Switched on last week and found sky sports and kids TV missing. Vigin have reinstated sports as a temp measure until they can find the recording of my conversation re new contract. I have been with virgin for over 20 years and at every end of contract have to endure this crap. Promises of call backs never happen and to date nothing has been resolved.

Shockingly bad internal systems and processes whereby you get bounced around multiple departments from existing customer line to new sales line to retention line etc - nothing is connected and each team blames the other team for bad service!!! A total joke to deal with!

For the last month my son has not had access to his emails. Despite numerous phone calls, VM have been unable to fix the issue. The same happened to me a couple of years ago when I lost access to all incoming emails for a couple of months. The current issue appear to be with VM's servers but VM are not looking at this.
VM is fine when everything is working, but when there is a problem, the fix can take ages.
Although I have been a customer for nearly 30 years, when my contract expires, I will go elsewhere.

Called 6 times, as no email received to renew contract, still to no avail so 27 yr customer is leaving. Customer service advisors don’t know anything and give “advice “ that doesn’t work. Say they’ll call back in 20 minutes but just more lies. Avoid! 6 times and you can wait 30mins before they answer, brain damage!

Excellent customer service! I called in regarding my account, due to unfortunate circumstances, I had to pat ways with the service provider. Been a customer for over 5 years. Service was exceptional! The speed, the amazing deals etc. It is sad. I was attendEd to by Jonas in the Philippines, then Uzma in India and both were fantastic. Thank you both for your patience and all efforts to assist me. You both were fantastic.

I’ve been with Virgin for a few years now and when I discovered they had been slowly raising the price of my broadband without informing me I renegotiated a new deal. Then a few months later I find out they have still been over charging me and when I went to contact them they told me the deal was no longer available and they wanted to charge me more than for the same deal? So I’ve been getting more money taken away and now been told I gotta pay double for the deal they already agreed upon? Truly poor customer service…

Will not let me sign again yet again !!! How can I pay when your app continues to frustrate me!!! Go back to how the app was when it did not ask me to add another account to this one which then does not let me log if I choose not too!! Stupid system you have!!

Genuinely shocking. I booked my installation before I moved house for a week after I’d be in the property - and put a note on the account to state that. Before I’d even moved in, an engineering team knocked on the door to say that they’d need to dig up the driveway to install a cable - upsetting the previous drivers. I hadn’t been informed at all about the visit.
Then, I asked for someone to call me to explain what would need to be done to lay the cable - no one called me back. Instead, I got an email a week later saying that my installation date had to be delayed - for over 6 weeks! So instead of an Aug 3rd installation it would be Sept 21st
I only went with VM because they had an offer on that made them the quickest and cheapest- but I was with them before and they kept putting prices up mid-contract.
The Virgin brand still has a lot of cachet but this is clearly a terrible company- avoid avoid avoid avoid.

VM customer service is dreadful. Their automatic phone service can't solve any problems it takes over 15 minutes to speak to anyone. The agent in the MyVM App is not worth bothering.

Trying to get support or even a human response from Virgin's Home Movers service is like trying to pull teeth from your mouth with rusty pliers. An excruciating and drawn-out procedure that leaves you wanting to be heavily sedated.
I'm moving home to a big, central town, and for some baffling reason, Virgin don't provide internet there, despite just about every broadband provider being available in the area. So I had the great inconvenience of having to cancel my Virgin contract and setting up a new one. I phoned their helpline, who advised me to submit "mortgage information" (whatever that means) or another proof of address to avoid being charged a cancellation fee. I submitted proof of my mortgage to their Home Movers email address. I got NO response. Not even an automated reply. Then ten days later, Virgin sent a letter to my OLD address stating that I still need to send proof of address to avoid being fined. Upon being made aware of this letter, I hastily called their Home Movers helpline and I may as well have talked to a brick wall.
The call centre operative, upon investigating the matter, told me my proof of mortgage letter had been declined. I asked her why Virgin didn't bother replying to tell me this, and left me in the lurch for ten days. She said nothing in response. I then asked her what other "mortgage information" I could submit, which would be accepted, as the term "mortgage information" is wonderfully vague. She went completely silent and couldn't answer this very basic question, before quickly changing the subject.
She then proceeded to ask me if I could submit another form of proof of address, like a rental agreement! Asking me if I have a rental agreement when I just told her I'd submitted proof or mortgage after having just BOUGHT A HOUSE. This simple fact seemed lost on her and simply did not compute. Again, she didn't acknowledge this as she didn't seem to understand what it all meant, and proceeded to ask if I knew the other forms of address proof I could submit. I said "yes", and that I had the list right in front of me, so she didn't need to read it out. Again, this didn't compute and she proceeded to read the entire list out to me.
The operative then asked if I could submit a utility bill, to which I said "no" because I haven't even moved to the new property yet, so wouldn't be getting any bills for at least a month. I asked what the deadline was for me to submit a bill as proof, as I could realistically only do it at the end of the month. Again, she ignored my question completely. So I then asked if a contract/bill from my new broadband provided would suffice, and, once again, she didn't answer my question and completely blanked it before asking if I could submit a bank statement. I said "no" because it's a pointless exercise as anyone can change their address on their bank statement, and that I didn't trust Virgin to accept this even if I did, seeing as they wouldn't accept my proof of mortgage.
After all this, I gave up and resolved that I would have to deal with the matter myself. Either this staff member has an unbelievably low-IQ or zero listening skills, or both. Which begs the question: why is she working there handling sensitive, highly important matters like helping customers to avoid cancellation charges of up to £500, if she can't answer / completely ignores very basic customer questions?!?

When i cancelled they said i hadn't returned the equipment despite sending both the receipt of posting and a screenshot of delivery.
Now want to charge £90.
I sent an email with photos (again) of proof of delivery and Gordon an auto responder saying the email address isn't monitored.
Absolutely appalling and harassment that I could really do without
VIRGIN - The response you gave below is no help at all. The Whatsapp is unmonitored and doesn't have any options for 'We've fraudulently charged you' or 'You've returned the equipment, but we're billing you anyway'.

I have been a Virgin Media customer for three years and recently experienced weeks of intermittent broadband, forcing me to use my mobile hotspot to continue working from home.
What happened next was even more concerning. Engineers attended my property before I had even raised my complaint and informed me that my connection had apparently been sharing a cable with my neighbour. While carrying out the work, they entered my property and dug up my monoblock driveway without my knowledge or permission. I only discovered what was happening after hearing drilling outside. By then, the work had already started. They also installed a new external box, damaged brickwork and interfered with cables attached to my property.
I raised a formal complaint on 21 July and was promised a response within 48 hours. This then became 72 hours and later 7 days. Despite chasing the complaint again, I have still received no response over two weeks later.
I’m extremely disappointed by both the service and the way this complaint has been handled. The lack of communication, accountability and respect for my property has been unacceptable. I hope Virgin Media now investigates this properly and puts things right.

I do not know where to begin. We have been loyal customers for over 20 years and decided to move to Sky because of poor customer service and outdated equipment. Since deciding to leave, we were cut off with absolutely no notice and in trying to resolve the situation having encountered a culture of blame within virgin media, a lack of willingness to pass on an issue to managers and inability to re reconnect our service without making us commit to a further 24 month contract. I have literally spent over 7 hours on the phone to them to trying to resolve the issue and no further forward than I was at the outset.

Well, it appears I am going to go against the common consensus here and say, Virgin Media used to be the pain of my life. Terrible broadband service and an even worse customer service experience when you call them. HOWEVER! Not anymore. The last few years of being with Virgin Media has been nothing but almost perfect! The fastest and best broadband service I have ever had with only one occasion where it went down but was rectified fairly quickly. TV service, the same, great with only one outage that again was rectified almost fairly quickly. Trust me, I will be back here swiftly with one star if they go back to their old ways. But for now, very happy with them.
