I gave my daughter money to buy a car…

I gave my daughter money to buy a car which was described as having a 12 month mot, she got there to pick the car up it had a huge scratch on the bonnet which wasn't stated in the sales advert. They knocked 75 pounds off the price for this ,when she got the car home and parked it on the front after an hour going back out to it there was s huge leak from the radiator so I bought a sealant to fix it , she rang up and told them about this and also we had a mechanic look at the car he told us the manifold was leaking there was oil all over the engine and she was lucky it hadn't set on fire, the fuel pump also making a loud noise the brakes virtually touching metal she rang the company back as she had only had the car 5 days and requested a refund to be told she could choose another car or have the heap she bought repaired. This went on for 2 days so she drove down with a friend gave them the paperwork and key and told them to pick the car up. I spoke to the boss who said it will take 28 days to get a refund and the car would be picked up this was Tuesday. I have contacted citizens advice to be told I am entitled to a refund within 14 days , the car is still sat on my front . Absolutely disgusting behaviour from staff with one of them telling my daughter to fuckoff and putting the phone down on her . I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone . I will take it further as 1075 pound is a lot of money to forget about.

Fault couldn't be fixed- refund received.

I actually didn't end up buying my car from them, but I found the guys there to be helpful, polite and professional.
I had put a deposit down on a car after test driving, and had identified a few jobs that needed doing on it before we paid in full. They did a great job at keeping me updated by phone, although email responses were a bit slow.
It turned out that the cruise control couldn't cost-effectively be fixed. They agreed to refund the deposit, and true to their word, the money was back with me within 2 weeks.
I had been a bit worried after seeing the other negative reviews online after I'd already paid my deposit, but my experience wasn't like that at all.

Avoid at all costs. Absolutely shocking after sale customer service. Everyone is nice and helpful when you go in to buy a car but if anything goes wrong with the car after you bought it you're on your own. Also , don't bother with asking for fresh MOT or service history, it doesn't worth the paper they are printed on.

Seriously avoid this company

Seriously avoid this company, Greg will go to any length to take your money and keep it! They sold me a car with problems, took it back the next day to ‘fix’ it. A month later they dropped the car to me, with the same problems. After asking for a refund as I haven’t even had the car they refused and offered to fix it again at a different garage. They took the car back and after another month of waiting and being told they can’t provide me with proof of work that’s been done I asked for another refund. They refused then they told me the car was ready to be dropped off to me! I refused and said they can have their curtesy car back when I receive a refund, Greg then said “okay, let me see what I can do” he sent Jack Naylor, to my house at 7.40pm on that same day to forcibly take the car from me! And nearly clipped me with the car when he aggressively tried to drive away from me!! Absolutely shocking from this shoddy company! They have brought back the car with new damage to the bumper! Police have been informed !

Misleading deposit hogs

I really should have listened to the reviews on here, they probably make more money on non-refunded, deposits taken on false promises that actual sales. I went there over two weeks ago (Saturday) to look at a car, which was not prepared. Not an issue, I put the deposit down for it, with the hopes that I could buy it on Tuesday. My only stipulation was that the rear seats would need to fold down. I was assured that this would not be a problem. Tuesday came around and got told that the car is still not ready. So we arranged to meet on Thursday. The first thing I checked was if the rear seats fold down or not. They did not, so I said we don’t need to waste their time with taking the car for a drive as it does not meet one clear specification that we need as a family. We got assured that the payment will be processed and should be in my account in 48 hours. That was over a week ago and since that I got the following excuses and lies in several calls:
- B already proceesed it on Friday (no money followed)
- There are no nites on the system about a refund
-The agent dealing with this is off sick
-Still no notes on the system
-the finance person is not in today
-that js an admin error, phone back tomorrow

Contemptible behaviour

Contemptible behaviour. The most unpleasant experience of buying a car I've had in over 35 years. They explained £1000 deposit to secure the vehicle, which is then booked in for prep (not true). Vehicle was supposed to be booked in for new 12 month MOT and bodywork repair. Instead the vehicle manage to accumulate an average of over 100 miles a day for 13 days before delivery. A journey of 165 miles added a total of 1512 mile to the vehicles mileage. The vehicle was delivered with no MOT or bodywork repair. Apparently a service was carried out. However this did not prevent the vehicle form being delivered with dangerous defects resulting in MOT failure and the vehicle being non roadworthy. Cost £603 before I could legally drive the car on the road.
Fraudulent paperwork during court mediation. How is this company still allowed to trade? They produced a pdf and passed this off as a document of as a service invoice. 5 months and 4000 miles later, vehicle indicating service due. Having the service done by an independent mechanic. The oil drained was as black and thick like tar. The mechanics professional opinion is without a shadow of a doubt, no service had taken place. Adding the fact that the car was in a different location over 165 miles away on the date stated on the invoice, badly executed alterations to some details and the only relevant details to my vehicle on this document, strangely are exactly the same size and font of the email that sent them. Above all this is a very vague invoice.

DO NOT TOUCH

DO NOT TOUCH, paid £100 refundable deposit to look at a car, it was full of scratches and I said I wasn't going to buy the car and look somewhere else. called many times to get my money back and everytime got fobbed off. Now they refuse to pay my money back claiming some sort of rubbish about stating about looking at another car, of course I was going to look for another car if I didn't buy their car.

Very poor customer service

Already written a review, don't know why it wasn't published. I bought a car in November 2025 and had continued issues trying to get Vision Motors to deal with faults with the car. By February, they had still not dealt with and continued to fob me off and say they would sort it. I had to obtain legal advice in the end and they then responded eventually. They gave me a hire car but then asked me to bring it back as it was sold! They did come and change the hire car in the end but they made out I was unreasonable! Very poor customer service, and made an already stressful situation for me even worse. Don't buy from here if you can help it, I only did as was an emergency. The negative reviews are right. Great customer service until they've sold the car! If anything goes wrong, they are awful

Sold me a car haven’t had it a year and the engine management light on due to faulty dpf and car is always in limp mode and has been on and off since I bought it the limp mode also happened when I was on the motorway with my children in the car they are selling cars that shouldn’t be on the road it’s dangerous they will end up killing someone.. I had it back to them a few times same as taking it to Leeds branch and they say they have fixed it and it hasn’t. Jack the person who has dealt with me from the haddock branch is arrogant and rude no customer service skills what so ever. I then found a returns form stating previous owner brought the car back due to the same issue and that it wasn’t meant to be sold to a customer only trade.. yet these sold it to me I’m paying £21,000 in finance payments for an undrivable car absolutely disgusting DO NOT BUY FROM THESE !!! AVOID

I purchased a vehicle from Vision Motors Direct Ltd in December 2025.

The vehicle was later rejected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the purchase price was eventually refunded after the car was returned.

Unfortunately the process was extremely stressful. Communication was poor, responses were slow, and I repeatedly had to chase for updates regarding the refund.

An extended warranty (£499) was also sold with the vehicle. I cancelled this within the 14-day cooling-off period with no claims made. The warranty booklet clearly states that cancellations within 14 days should not incur any financial penalty.

Despite this, the dealership has refused to process the refund for the warranty. 3 Months have pass and I therefore now have to consider taking legal action to recover this amount.

I also discovered that the dealership is not registered with The Motor Ombudsman, which means there is no independent dispute resolution available through that route.

Overall my experience with the customer service was very disappointing and unnecessarily stressful.

Very disgusting company

Very disgusting company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They made me lose £100 for nothing. I reserved a vehicle for £100, they told me I will get a full refund if I changed my mind. I decided not to go ahead with the purchase only for them to turn back and say I did not come to view the vehicle so I am not getting any of my money back, however if I had come to view the vehicle and changed my mind afterwards then I would have gotten a refund. Something they did not emphatically clarify. Besides that which of the options above is easier? Not sure why a company will have such a policy which makes no sense at all. Is this a way to exploit customers just because you are a small company? They hanged the call up on me when I called them without waiting to ensure I was okay. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM!!!

Everything was straightforward

Everything was straightforward. I viewed different cars, asked questions and felt comfortable the whole time. The car I picked had full service history and they offered me a decent part exchange deal. Drove it away the next day with a fresh MOT.

Very poor service

I purchased the vehicle less than a year ago and now the car is completely off the road. I’ve had a diagnostic test and the vehicle has an issue with the wet belt which I have been told would have been an issue from purchase and should have been replaced prior to selling the the vehicle. I am now without a car the warranty which I was advised to purchase has come back to say they have no record of me and also they wouldn’t cover this. I have emailed the team and have had no response. I have now had to take this further to get help with a resolution.

Lucky Escape

Called them to enquire about a car they had in stock they said it hadn’t been sold. We travelled over 90 minutes only to be told when we got there it had been sold a while ago. No apology just an office of very rude aggressive staff.

After reading the reviews it looks like I’ve had a lucky escape!

Terrible vehicles and customer service

Terrible customer service and false promises. Purchased a nissan x-trail in July 2025. Liam waited until i had paid the full balance in cash to then rell me the car only had one key and no service history. I am almost positive the advert said it had full service history. Had numerous priblems with it from the start. Liam sent the car to some back street garage that didnt even know what they were doing. Kept my car for over 3 weeks. For them to nit actually be able to fix the problem. Ended up at a different garage and they fixed it in a day. There is also a missing end cap off one of the roof bars. Liam said one had been ordered. Chased up multiple times to be told its not arrived yet. Then the last time I called which was 28th Jan 2026 I asked if they had actually ordered one. And Liam hung up the phone and has ignored my calls ever since. Over priced cars that are not good quality. Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT EVEN RISK IT

Congratulations if you had a good experience with this company, you are a rarity. Or, the review is fake becasuse these people are scum of the Earth. There are innumerable customers in court and at war with them for the junk car's they sell and if you return it, well just assume they'll see that as as gift even if you've agreed in writing and are within your rights to do so, they'll just keep the money. The law does not apply to these scumbags, they have no moral compass, no integrity, and no regard for the damage they've done to countless lives. I truly question how they sleep at night knowing how many people they have left in financial ruin because god forborbid you just conduct business like normal people.

If you are even slightly considering buying a car from these people, do your research into them first. It's all there, endless amounts of people in court cases fighting to get the money they are rightfully owed. If you're looking for a good way to burn thousands of pounds of your hard earned cash, buy a car from Vision Motors, risk your life driving it, return it within the timeframe of your lawful right to do so, and then enjoy the nasty, threatening, abusive war you'll have to enter into to wrestle your money back out the hands of these vultures. It's been months, and I'm still fighting for them to refund me. Meanwhile they have the car I part exed, and the car I bought. Go figure.

Bought a discovery sport and within an…

Bought a discovery sport and within an hour had major issues with loosing power , burning smell, had it diagnosed, 12 faults showed also had below min coolant and camera was still broken which they said they'd fix . Oil and filter were black. This car came with a fresh MOT, no advisories and oil and filter service!
I gave them opportunity to fix and asked to thoroughly inspect the car as I live in Scotland and was driving home . I lost 3 days in wages staying Iin England but thought it only fare to give them chance to put right.
When driving home ,warning lights came on with low tyre pressures , vibration when breaking and excelerating, occasional loss of power and windscreen wipers stuck in middle of screen . I had breakdown cover so continued to drive home as only me and 3 nervy rescue dogs in car. Phoned Jack at Vision Motors on way back to say I was having major issues with car and would they pay the bill if I took it to my local garage for diagnosis. He agreed on but said o had to inform him of issues before work got done.
Garage didn't look at other faults as the said as soon as they started it it beloved smoke and the DPF had gone and there was a slight knocking so could indicate engine damage. Advised me to reject vehicle on consumer rights 2015.
Trying to shorten event so . They refused to pick car up and eventually said if I got it back to them they'd look at a refund. Had no choice , it cost £420. To return £144. for diagnosis. Gave them 14 days . 5 mins after deadline they said they wouldn't refund all my money .
They miss deadlines , don't respond to emails. We run a sheep fam and we've no 4x4 to tow sheep , pick up food deliveries and also got snowed in for 3 weeks . Having no 4x4 made it impossible to get out and again had to relay on neighbours and customers .
They have missed deadlines again . And offered me another reduced amount. So I have no choice than to take to court.
Make your own decision if you buy a car there . This eas my experience and I'm not alone !

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The car purchased at the end of October '25 was back in the garage within weeks of being purchased, finally fixed on the second visit.

Car has now been off the road 3 weeks, Vision Motors final response to the fault was "take us to court for a refund then im sick off hearing you moan".

Shocking after sales service.

Shame it won't let me leave a 0 star review but unfortunately, 1 star is the minimum.

NEVER buy a car from Haydock (Vision Motors Ltd)

Okay so where do I start?
I purchased a distance vehicle, a Peugeot 208 GTI KU16 DLZ from Vision Motors Direct Ltd in Leeds on 18th March 2025. Within a couple of days I had a service light on and within two weeks I had the Engine Block light on which indicated a serious defect. I contacted them and was instructed to get a garage diagnosis to find out the issue all at my expense. Once done, I was told as I did not purchase an extended vehicle insurance policy I would have to recover the car back to Leeds for repair at own cost which I did, They have since never returned my vehicle and have come up with every excuse under the sun to prevent me getting it back. It is now almost 12 Months that they have kept my vehicle and I am still taxing and insuring it! They have provided 3 Courtesy cars, three of which have been clamped due to no Tax causing further stress. I just took another call this evening where they are saying it needs another part! The aftercare sales guy is called Jack and they want to put me in another courtesy car, a forth courtesy car, which I have said no to. I still have no car except a pile of crap Nissan they gave me which they have now sold to someone! The place is a joke and now I have to go to court for a small claims after they also ignored a LBA from a Solicitor - NEVER, EVER buy a vehicle from these muppets, Mark
